Really, really enjoyed this. Ive fished a few of these matches. And they are brilliant. Different thinking and fishing required. Great to hear that you will be back to try again. And put what you learned into practice. Great video! 👍🐳👏
Well done Jamie, just for sticking it out, but as you said the wrong end of the lake to have any chance mate, keep em comin, love watching your live matches...
Unlucky Jamie definitely not the best draw especially in winter. Had some cracklng days in summer on pegs 24,25 but you definitely want to be at the other end of the lake in winter, but that's what keeps us going back, eventually you will draw on the fish 😊
Love winter carp match fishing. Much more rewarding than suicidal summer catches. My average cast time is 15-20 mins. Incredible how many bites come in the last 5 mins in the early stages but then get earlier as the day goes on. Corn or bread punch every time.
@@CatchFishingChannel looking forward to you going back -would be a GREAT video if you could fit a another match in if you have space in your calender that is
I once caught over 200lb of bream and rudd waggler fishing 1 red maggot and 1 pale red pinkie in the deck loose feeding 2ml s whilst carping at Selby 3 lakes and also caught 18 carp mid water on waggler with boiled peanut straight hooked on size 10 and loose fed with catty when i was 15 at tin mill.so worth a try mate if allowed.now everyone uses pellet.
From the videos I've seen of winter matches like the Carpa series on that lake, over the past few years the better fish have had a habit of balling up within range of pegs in the mid to high 50's.
Great video learn a lot watching them just one question If everyone around you were catching on waggler would you never think to set one of your rods up for a waggler set up. I have one rod and use it for all types of fishing and honestly believe the fish have no idea what's on the other end of line. There must be a reason you don't set it up but can't think why Keep up catching doing Sheffield proud
It's very hard fishing at this time Jamie as you and i well no, my match Saturday was very hard going, i had the one carp to 7lb, -2 all day,🥶🥶, Thank you
Sorry Arron which peg mate? I either use an 11ft Horizon Commercial Pro for the longer casts but I use a 9ft Ethos XR-C Bomb rod for the short casts mate :)
It's not all about baggin, it was interesting, informative and the commitment to alter and change tactics...thanks Jamie .....👍

Jamie what length feeder rod you use for for that peg at lindholme lakes
Sorry Arron which peg mate? I either use an 11ft Horizon Commercial Pro for the longer casts but I use a 9ft Ethos XR-C Bomb rod for the short casts mate :)
It was peg 75 I'm looking to getting another feeder just don't know wether to get the 10ft or 9ft
You handled a tough match really well mate.
Thanks Allan mate!
Unlucky Jamie. Its definitely a pellet waggler venue. Start on the wag finish on the bomb depending on what peg your on .
You could have zig rigged up off deck and loose fed them small pellets.❤
Why is your main line coiled or is it braid
Oh Ray I hadn't used that spool of mono for ages and I didn't notice it whilst I was fishing but it looks much worse on the video!
No popped up bread ??
Normally yes but it's not allowed on that venue Mark
Not the best draw jamie but at least you didnt blank ,well done 😊
Haha yes it was close mate! Lol
