First off I wish your family a healthy recovery. I've been hearing the new frame of the xc-f are super stiff feeling. These questions are regarding the XC 2 STROKES 1: Wondering your take on the new frame feel? 2: trail riding, how did the suspension feel? Better? Same as last year models? 3: how was the vibration in the handlebars and in frame. 4: could you feel any engine braking? 1-10 Thank you for taking the time to bring us this great info!!! 👍
Thanks man. Sorry to bust your chops, I just thought you might have put off the SX vids and concentrated on the XC/TX since all the major mags had already covered the SX models. Interesting comments re TBI versus TPI for trails. Hope you're feelin' better soon.
Pretty sure the “twitchiness” is down to your map selected rather than TPI vs TBI. The electronic power valve will give you the response you seek. Did you use the mellow map?
Up in the air about a 300 SX vs. 250 SX. Did that 250 rev out better than the 300, or feel better rev'd out than the 300? Any other significant differences or suggestions on that pick? Take care of yourself Senor! 🤠
Thanks for all the updates, really appreciated! On the 2 strokes, how was the chassis/suspension on the new platform for the faster flowy offroad sections you showed in the vids? I keep hearing it's unusually stiff. I also read that the new frame and bodywork is supposed to help grip the bike with your legs, did you notice this?
I’m wondering how the tbi will do in much slower tech hard endero style riding? I know you said the bike has a more motor cross feel to it. But also more low end grunt. Let me know!
If I bought one of these bikes and got motor work done on it to run race gas how old will you be able to adjust the map on the ecu for the electronic fuel injection
Well, I'm not saying the difference is all attributed to the throttle body, I'm saying one bike is a "TBI Model" and the other is a "TPI Model". You're never getting the ECPV on the TPI, now are you getting a manual on the TBI, so doesn't really matter.
Hey Ryan, I am curious how you would compare the SX 300 and the Beta 300 rr race edition. I would be riding wide trails and a little track, no tight technical single track, I understand that there is a difference between the SX300 and the enduro bikes like the TX 300 but both bikes still have generally the same 300 smoker TBI and I would love your opinion between the 300 TBI and the Beta 300 race edition. I just wanted to add that I understand you rode the Husky 250 TBI and not the 300, I’m certain the 250 and 300 are similar with the 250 probably a little snappier in the mid to the top. Just a general opinion TBI vs Beta 300. Thank you so much.
Do you think you would be faster on a motocross track with a 250 or the 300 ? And do do you think that 350 SX would be faster on a motocross track than the two strokes ?
Pros do not race 2strokes on MX tracks no more for a reason and it’s not bc they don’t make them any more. Figure out what your fastest on not what’s the fastest bike. Stop following 2t hype. You will thank me later.
@@shannonscott5788 my problem is on a 4 stroke my corner speed is terrible because of the weight and I thought maybe a 350 might not feel so heavy. I had a 450 and I could fly in open stuff but in tight sections I am terrible on a 4 stroke. But on a 2 stroke I have a reasonable speed everywhere. What I really need to do is try to find a KTM demo ride before I get my next bike. Mainly to ride the 300 and a 350.
Hey man. I have kind of a broad question that you might be able to answer. Over the years I’ve ridden lots of 250/300xc’s from ktm. I’ve always preferred the 250s over the 300. I feel that they have a sharper hit, lighter feeling flywheel, and handle better. This spring I rode my first tpi bike (300 gas gas) this is the only tpi bike that I’ve ridden. And I actually didn’t like it much. It felt like it lacked power off bottom that the previous carbureted bikes had. The power seemed too linear and I didn’t enjoy it much. I also happened to be riding a 3rd and 4th gear fast sand corner track on the beach. This may have had some input. I’m looking at getting a 250xc for next year and am just curious if the 250 is going to be what I’m looking for
What do you thing next year enduro will be TPI or TBI? And you thing if is going to be TBI we are going back to pre mixing gas on enduro models. Thanks for answer and sorry for my bad english
Hi Ryan, do you have the time to give your opinion on my questions regarding the comparison between the Beta 300 race vs Husky 300 or 250 tx or TC just a general comparison TBI vs carb, what’s faster is the TX and the 300 RE good for trail riding and a little track riding. I know you have ridden both and would love your opinion. Thank you and I sincerely hope you and your family are healthy in these difficult times.
I don’t know that the actual record of the TPI proved to lack dependability. Not positive but it seems that’s more of a perception problem. The TBI is pre-mix though which addresses that common (mis?)-perception.

For some reason I didn't see this until now...thanks so much Stephen!

I just got my first 2 stroke in like 28 years and it is a husqvarna 300tx tbi bike any info on how to warm it up with out fouling plug ?
Have you had issues fouling plugs?
Great breakdown as always!!! keep doing what your doing!!
Can u explain the power difference from the older generation carb engine to this new fuel injection engine.

Did you try the different maps on the track and trails and if so what were your thoughts? Did the softer map help in the trails?
I think in a xcw you gonna have this smoother feeling .. xc on tpi are more on the agressive side than the xcw
Also curious about the new foot peg placement for Enduro riding on the new XC???

Pretty hard to say all the difference is TBI when the electric power valve is also making it run very differently

Do the TBI’s have the same sensors as the TPI’s ? ie crank case pressure and ambient temp sensors . Might be a dumb question

SO HOW IS THE FOUR WEEK OLD BABY? Bouncing back well??
Yes, he's all good now! Shook it faster than me! Thanks Robert.
cant wait my man
Comparing low end, is there that much difference between TPI and TBI
It it a 6 speed transmission???
Is what?

Will they be bringing TBI to the small wheel bikes? 85cc and 50cc, would save a lot of bs for some Moto dads for sure
Wow dude hope yas are all getting better
Opinions on going from a 250r to the sx300? I ride enduro with a 19 300xcw.
Going from a CRF250R to an SX300? Tons more power, but with the TBI its still smooth and manageable. You'll probably like it.
Did you get to use the map switch? How much did it effect it?
I think i"ll keep my '22 TPI , 13k + for a new first year bike ? nah
13k? Huh.. getting a TX300 for 11.5 OTD
So it was never about two strokes vs four strokes. It's all about the fuel delivery.
Apparently fuel delivery has much more to do with engine characteristics than I previously thought, yup!
I'm not skeptical about the performance of these bikes but I'm absolutely skeptical about their durability and reliability
Same durability of any race machine 95% don't even come close to maintaining a bike correctly
Why?
@@pow_dirt_hound Because of the record of the TPI bikes.
I don’t know that the actual record of the TPI proved to lack dependability. Not positive but it seems that’s more of a perception problem. The TBI is pre-mix though which addresses that common (mis?)-perception.
Did you get a chance to ride the 250 sxf?
So do these tbi models do away with oil injection? What is your opinion on having/not having oil injection?
Typical 125 upgrade complete aftermarket exhaust, I thought injecting would help, adjusting everything. I read they said you need to update the map!
