Now I still think you right about just putting a screen protector on the switch itself. That’s what I ended up doing
@@Space__Roosterthat’s what he’s saying. The guy in the video missed the point and explained it wrong. The protector goes on the INSIDE of the dock, not the outside. The side that the switch slides into.

I actually find dust covers useful, I made one myself with some fabric and I always use it when I'm not using the console. If I'm not going to use it for a week I prefer it to be covered
im on with the dust cover! i live on a 4th floor and get a lot of dust. obviously i remove it when i play with the console but i find it quite usefull to protect the fans from dust
Same for me, I finish dusting and there's already dust on everything again, so I really enjoy having those covers. And obviously, I remove it when I am using the console.
The "Switch Guard" (7:55) is actually incredibly useful - but you don't understand it's use. See, I worked on a cruise ship where we had little kids coming and going in a *supervised* play area with video game consoles. Every single console always was encased in a custom acrylic case like that Switch Guard to prevent kids from accessing them when they weren't allowed to, or tampering with them or somehow otherwise damaging them. The case is simply an extra layer of protection from "quick" tampering in an area where there is already supervision and monitoring going on. These cases aren't designed to prevent anyone from *stealing* the device, so your criticism of it's usefulness is simply based on your misunderstanding of it's use.
@@scheffetz That's exactly what it's typical use is. Every store that has a video game console on public display for customers to play with is going to want one. It's a product designed for commercial use, not home use. So, reviewing it as a home use product doesn't really make sense.
Okay, precision ring do actually quite good because without them it's kind of hard to you know aim on a controller rightly because if you move the joystick to the side a little bit it just shoots the side but precision rings help it to stay steady. It also can help with controller drift
The Puma "Gaming socks" were adapted from a sport shoe intended for Ball hockey and indoor lacrosse, the only thing they changed was the ankle and forefoot materials to make them more soft. A friend of mine who plays goal in ball hockey bought a pair of the gaming version and modified them with moulded plastic attachments to sit within her goal pads, as they provided her the best grip and flexibility instead of a standard running shoe. Money well spent for a "Gaming shoe" lol
I've actually found precision rings helpful playing online fps games. They help alot with aiming stabilization. You can increase or decrease sensitivity all day but it definitely helps
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Increased resistance makes full tilt stick movements more deliberate. I don't really have a huge problem with that sort of thing now, but when I was much younger, I recall having some issues with, say, overshooting targets or making turns too sharp.
@@XanthosAcanthus especially when you're trying to hit your shots while ADS. But if you don't play online multiplayer shooters, then I can see why this product can look like a gimmick
Yeah to folks who don’t play multiplayer shooters these probably seem silly but they actually work. And they’re like 10 dollars so even if they help a little they’re definitely worth it
Yeah they can help, but they’re not NEEDED. You can actually learn through muscle memory how not to do this. I used to use these a long time ago so I’m not hating on them, but they don’t do anything you can train yourself to do.
I imagine the precision rings are more similar to changing the deadzone on your joystick than simply changing the overall sensitivity. It would make it easier to make small adjustments without completely nerfing your potential speed. I've been in plenty of situations in games where I meant to make a subtle, slow movement and ended up going much faster than intended, and I imagine that extra bit of stick resistance would make a pretty big difference compared to just adjusting a slider in the settings.
With the dust cover... take it off before you use your console. It's meant to keep dust off of it when it's not being used. Maybe you go away on vacation and you don't want to come back to dust on your console? Or you have multiple consoles and just don't use one of them for extended periods of time and don't want to let it get convered in dust? Makes sense to me. Might get one, honestly. Haven't used my PS5 in a month or so.
Yeah. He wasn't very smart. You'd think he think of this himself. As a game reviewer and gamer. You'd think he has more than one console. . . Makes zero sense. His logic is horrible. Plus reading the part that says not to play with it on. . . But you still left the part in about it covering the vents. . . Like bro that's the point yes. . . Kinda thoughtless.
6:58 how is a dust cover something you need to avoid tho? That’s actually a pretty cool thing to have to protect ur console from dust falling in it and getting sucked up by the fans. Obviously it’s made for the console to be standing, because in horizontal mode you can just wipe the dust off the side, yk where it’s not gonna fall into the cracks and stuff
The dust cover on this list seems like a stretch especially when you use it as intended while the console is off. And the point of it only being available for vertical position is just not true. They make separate ones for horizontal use.
Actually, i think those rings, given if they were actually sized to specific controller designs, makes sense to me to an extent. I get it. Adding more resistance could reduce your chances for overshooting a target by making full tilt joystick movements more deliberate. I remember having some trouble with that when i was much, much younger.
#5 there's a thing like this that actually HAS a purpose, they're called stick locks from the LTT store. They're meant specifically for travel, cover the whole stick from dust and are universal. I find Theyre actually a really good alternative to buying a hard carrying case
Yup, I don't have a case for my controller either, so my biggest worry carrying it in my bag is the sticks...I have to carry it in a foam-padded box, but these locks would be very helpful
I love the Precision rings! Its not the same as changing the settings, though I do both. It adds actual resistant to pushing the joycon you can't ever get that with messing with the settings. I stack multiple Precision rings on top of each other because I like my aiming (right thumb stick) really stiff. They allow me to make way more small movements accurately if you have thumb stick extenders. They do lossen over time and you have to replace them eventually.
See, I saw them and thought of another totally unrelated use. Over the years, I've noticed my PS2 and PS3 controllers tend to gather dust in the recess directly underneath the analog stick and causes it to gum up with use. I feel, at the very least, these could be useful for preventing that too. Similar concept to how I use those analog stick covers, as I use those on controller like my various Xbox ones as the analogs are notorious for shredding with use going all the way back to the OG Xbox so I use them to protect that rather than having to buy knockoff replacement parts that are lower quality or over priced OEM components as it it cheaper to replace a set of rubber caps.
I just got a PS5 and they have this thing where the trigger resistance and stuff can vary in the games, it might not be too far in the future where stick tension can be electronically adjustable.
Number 8: If Puma marketed it properly, it could actually be a genuinely good product. Sim racing and VR would be 2 very good scenarios for the Gaming Socks. Good feel on pedals while racing, or good traction on the ground when playing VR games when you are moving around. But, they had to say "console gamers", so all that went right out the door.
Would be great for use with driving wheels and flight pedals so you don't either have to barefoot it or put shoes on. If you play drums I could also see these as excellent for the kick pedals and looks to be similar to what professional drummers wear.
I’ve used precision rings to pretty great effect, sensitivity in game is one thing, but I preferred the more resistant feel irl, if I didn’t have extended sticks and they still fit I’d still use them. To each their own though..
@@Chugabutt69 I did try that a while back, idr if it didn’t work or if I needed more than two to get it to work properly and didn’t have enough. I’ve now gotten different controllers they don’t fit on though so .. 😆
Nyko dock happened to me. Went to a friend’s place that had one and put my Switch in to play something and just bricked it. It was something to do with a recent system update on the Switch and somehow how it interacted with 3rd party docks
Gameranx, that thing about the PS5 in vertical mode is killing the system has been debunked , and debunked by numerous outlets and computer/gaming repair technicians. Its not a thing.
Was looking for this comment before posting it, if liquid metal thermal paste actually did what this rumor supposes it would have been heard from the PC scene way before it hit use in a mainline console
5:54 i’ve used precision rings for cod for two years and it’s helped my recoil and my snappiness to lock on, but they break pretty fast and branded ones like kontrol freeks sell them for over $25 AUD when it’s just foam/sponge. they typically come with three resistance levels, the mid and high ones i never use, i only use the low resistance ones. it’s not good in price but for me personally, with running a higher sensitivity, it works well for shooters for me. most other games, not that’s great. i’ve had them for ages and i can’t play shooters without them
@@ingramfry7179if you were to get them i believe you should only get the kontrol freek ones, they’re more durable than another brand i’ve tried as the ones i have now have lasted since may and are still fine. i have a dual sense pro controller, and i can take off the normal joystick to easily put a ring on, but when i had a normal controller, you actually have to pull it over the joystick and doing that over and over again eventually wears it out and it rips so if i didn’t have a pro controller i would be spending way more on these rings. they come with 6 rings with 2 for each resistance. i only use low, so i’m paying like $30 for two rings. you definitely need a joystick extender like the kontrol freek ones to make good use of these though, just by themself with a normal joystick isn’t optimal. the kontrolfreek joysticks also cost a fair amount too, so where i am i’ve spent like $70 on controller accessories alone, nearly the amount of a normal controller.
8:05 The switchguard is actually a very useful product but not for individuals. There are businesses out there called gaming lounges, and the switchguard prevents customers, or people passing by, from stealing the switch
It's possible that they intended the dock cover as a means of preventing your switch screen from getting damaged. The dock is known to scratch it up if you're not careful.
The official Play-Asia product page says: "It helps to protect the front of the Dock from scratches and dirt." It doesn't say anything about protecting the Switch screen.
I assumed it was for protecting the art on limited edition switch docks. Certainly not an essential accessory, but I've seen people put stupider things behind plastic
@@bpatplus That's probably it. All of the covers I've seen that are meant for protecting the screen were made of softer materials. This one could be unique though.
The joystick sponge rings are *supposed* to shorten travel time, hypothetically improving aim and response time. I don't think it works in practice with a piece of sponge, but check out the Azeron and the resistance ring you can add to made WASD movement on a joystick closer to actual controller movement and you'll get what they are going for. But also don't buy it, it probably doesn't work in this iteration.
Operation Wolf for the NES, and there was another light gun game on the Master System that I don't remember the name of (prohibition era gangster rail stooter, I specifically remember the driving level but not much else)
I'm here just to express my gratitude. I was a little down but this video made me laugh so hard that I feel so much better now. The voice intonations plus the commentary made this video so good and hilarious. Thank you so much!
#10 is not really a bad product honestly. I have a cover for both my PS5 and my Series X and can see a noticeable difference. I only use it at night when off to help reduce dust buildup. My only issue is when I forget to remove the cover the next day before playing. And I only remember because the console will sound like a Jet getting ready to takeoff 😂😂
Honestly with the precision rings I find they are somewhat useful, my DS4 controller was drifting a bit and the very light ring one helped it stay in place more. add to that a silicone cover that is a bit high and after a couple of days I could play and aim normally again. I can see their purpose in FPSes with the long Z height analog covers for aiming with aim assist when you try to counter the recoil with the opposite analog movement you can easily go too far to the opposite direction. They also help in driving games when drifting
The Puma socks make some sense for driving sims. Many people have better sensitivity for pedals with shoes, so in theory these could help a bit. Not worth the price though.
I've had a Switch since launch, and there definitely was a lot of rumblings about screens getting scratched by the Dock, but I never experienced it myself. The cheaper/easier solution was using a sock?
I've heard this too and unless you throwing the Switch in the dock from across the room I just don't understand how. I've had mine since launch. My daughter has had one for years. My buddy and his kids have several and none are scratch and they don't even have screen protectors. This is like the PS5 in the vertical will cause the CPU to leak out, it just doesn't really happen.

That switch lock tho.... If someone REALLY wanted to steal your switch, and didn't have any tools on them, all they have to do IS UNPLUG THE CORDS FROM THE WALL, THEN BRING IT HOME AND RELEASE THE SWITCH THERE!
actually a nightmare scenario i think they only tested steam decks w/ the huaying fans there was a bit of a controversy over the delta/huaying fans sounding different but i think the only real way to tell is to open it up
Number 15 actually might have a second use. It looks like it can actually sit between the screen of the switch and the dock, meaning it could prevent unnecessary scratches on the screen, which is known to happen. It could be useful if you have multiple switches that don't have screen protectors.
Or, depending on how much money you wanna spend, you can get several and customize them with various stickers, designs, etc. without putting it directly on your dock
Nope, the one he shows does not have anything on the back and will not protect the switch screen from getting scratched by the dock. It is only to protect the dock itself from getting scratched.
Just to clarify the killswitch case from dbrand doesn't use magnets anymore. Also everyone who got the first batch of magnetic cases got a free upgrade/replacement when they released the new case. So No need to avoid. :)
Gameranx have got to be the best most relatable gaming channel on youtube!! i feel like if they were to make a game it would be a total hit!!! (hint hint) haha please keep making amazing content!!!!!
Number 9, the Precision Rings for the analog sticks are actually pretty decent. Combine them with some Kontrol Freeks and I found they improved your overall control when it came to aiming.
Another good thing about the rings is that they help stroke victims both by correcting overaiming as well as adding some slight resistance to help muscle and dexterity recovery. I could have done with something like that nearly a decade ago!
The security box thing for the switch would be good for businesses that set up break rooms with gaming for their employees. The box would need to be mounted permanently for it to work properly. I used to work at a DirecTV call center and they had a GameCube with Mario Kart set up for us to play and they had a security box like this for it so someone didn't steal the game or console.
It doesn't have any air flow and you can still steal it if you really wanted to. Think of it like this, chain your bike up with one of those chains made out of construction paper.
Good points. This kind of solution works for wired controllers but definitely not for wireless. And it wouldn't work anywhere you were REALLY worried about it getting stolen. So... It's shite.
@@ausculto8975 it was Montana and they had a few free to play arcade games and a ping pong table as well as the GameCube for us to relax and use. They treated employees quite well.
The best gimmick controller was for OG xbox. Got it used at gamestop. Green, military colors, dual pistol grips. Imagine akimbo'ing 9mm's with an xbox controller on top. The L and R buttons were where triggers should be, and your thumb could easily reach the sticks, d-pad and buttons in the standard controller-hold. But holding it like a pistol meant no slippage *at all.* Even if your hands get sweaty. No need to readjust your controller when you have to hold down a directional stick one way for long periods. I'd love a modern version of one of those. I'm not digging it out of the closet to check, but I'd be willing to bet it was made by Madcatz.
the dust cover is definitely okay for people in old houses or with pets, etc etc. the issue of having to have your ps5 vertical also been pretty much debunked by now too.
5:54 I believe the intention for these is for possibly newer controller users. It's meant to increase the resistance the further you push the analogue stick. Without them, the resistance is exactly the same no matter the position. Which can cause those not used to a controller to go from 0% to 100% on the analogue stick far too easily. Causing you to spin around too fast, or making it harder to move slower. Adding an increasing resistance the further you press over will allow those not used to a controller to have slightly better aim, and slightly better control over motion. So, not entirely useless. Just not useful for someone who is used to the normal controller setup.
The Switch Guard has a practical purpose. I helped a non-profit organize a public gaming event as a fundraiser in March that involved setting up several Switches with wired controllers for drunk people to play Mario Kart. The concern wasn't someone sneaking in and stealing them so much as surreptitiously swiping a console from out of the dock. That said, we just 3D-printed some plastic clip things that locked the console inside the dock. The event was a huge success, by the way, so of course they fired me two weeks later.
I can see the switch acrylic lock in number #9 use as a more parenting management thing than a safety thing, i could imagine a kids that really overplay their switch and their parent just come up with a maximum playing hours everyday. So i think it has a use
I think one niche use for number 15 the switch dock protector could be to customize your switch, get a few of them and either paint them or stick on some decals and you could just slip them onto the dock and have a custom look. They would be interchangeable and never actually alter the dock itself.
The one with 3 fans on the Back of the PS5 pulling air out, are pretty good for the console. I had my PS5 turning off suddenly because of overheating; the exhaust air was reaching 60+ Celsius and after 15-30 minutes of that it goes off to protect itself. But with the accessory with 3 fans ON THE BACK (not the one that covers the bottom) the temperature while playing PS5 games no longer goes over 57°C, not elegant but they do work. But can turn noisy if you play too long at those temperatures, stop and turn off or put the system on standby and then come back after the plastic has cooled off, the expansion and contraction makes the fans noisy over time, but as soon as it goes back over 50 it goes silent again.
You can't talk about crap control pads without mentioning the Wu Tang pad for PS1, that came out with Wu Tang Taste The Pain. It was the least ergonomic item ever created in the history of man.
I use the precision rings on my controllers in FPS games. I can set my sensitivity higher with them, I play CoD MWII @ a 10:10 sensitivity, but I get the same performance of a 4:4 with smaller movements. Makes my aim snappier without the over-travel I would get without them. They are also better for the longevity of the analog sticks by reducing the chance of stick drift as the sticks aren’t pressing directly against the Anti-friction rings.
Wow. You went vintage with the Kareem reference. I’m probably one of about 7 that follow Gameranx that actually got that esoteric reference. Loved him in Airplane!
The dust cover is quite useful cause as a student I turn off my consoles for a while for exams and dust tends to build up in the consoles so it is good for long storage
1:01 the clear protector for your switch dock is so that you can insert custom artwork on the dock easily for display purposes. So… arguably not worthless.
Speaking as someone who works in console repair, that's not actually the main cause of joycon drift. The most common reason for it is the thin metal plate the makes up the back of the joycon's joysticks becoming dented from pressure being applied to the stick. Once the plate becomes dented, the tension that's supposed to hold everything stable is gone and you get drift.
As a video game collector and a big Nintendo guy who loves handhelds and gadgets, I was given a Hyperkin Smartboy. The idea is you take your mobile out of its case and plug into this thing, which resembles the bottom half of a good old DMG Game Boy, but not before downloading an app. Now when you plug in a Game Boy or Game Boy Colour game into it, you can run the game on your phone. I can't figure out who the device is for, as if you have a stack of game cartridges you want to actually sit and play, you probably have a bunch of better options, even if you wanted an upgrade from the original pea soup coloured screen.
Falcon, you had a coleco Pac-Man? Those table top arcades were for bringing to school and making the other kids jealous during show and tell. That’s how I saw one and I ended up begging my dad to get me a Galaxian at JC Penny’s. I still have mine. 😂
8:03 I would have agreed the switch guard is a stupid product, until I read that Reddit post a few weeks ago where the guy had his switch stolen from his dorm room by some visiting families kid. The kid threw the switch in the toilet. Lots of lessons to be had in that situation, but a switch guard might have changed the outcome lol.
The switch dock cover is made because when you are putting your switch in the dock the hard plastic will scratch the screen of the switch, with the cover it doesn't cause that, it's actually a really useful accesory
Okay okay...I gotta comment on 11. I get why you think this way but...... The rings are actually very useful for FPS games. They can help tighten up your precision aiming without sacrificing stick speed. So basically you can increase snappy movement on the right stick without the chance of overshooting your shot. I too tinker with adjusting overall stick speed and deadzones but the rings help on another level. I use to share the same opinion you did at first, but now I feel weird without them. I love my rings. Thank you.
A friend of mine actually loves those foam rings. He bought and uses some higher quality ones for FPS games. He cranks his sensitivity way up and changes his curves. Works for him pretty well but I think he's the exception, not the rule
5:57 I could see me actually trying these and somehow adapting to them and trying to convince people they are amazing... when in all reality I'm just DUMB!
The only accessory I've ever used were Kontrolfreaks. People say it's dumb and my friend group never really understood but having my right thumbstick twice it's height just feels right. Like legitimately been using the product for like 8-ish years.

You are not killing your PS5 by having it stand up. The "design flaw" is people that disassamble the console, don't get a proper seal on the liquid metal when they put the console back together and then have the liquid metal leak out. It's not something that happens without the console being taken apart.

@@Key-wn1ck sure then try leaving it on dusty enviroment for a month without using it and say that again.
im on with the dust cover! i live on a 4th floor and get a lot of dust. obviously i remove it when i play with the console but i find it quite usefull to protect the fans from dust
I remember watching these guys as a kid, here I am 22 and I am right back to them. Quality stuff like always
You're still a kid. And i mean that in every positive way 😊
Aren’t we all just kids as heart ?
you're still a kid, lol
@@BlackTarH is my age 20 a baby then?
By all means, you're still a kid
Okay, precision ring do actually quite good because without them it's kind of hard to you know aim on a controller rightly because if you move the joystick to the side a little bit it just shoots the side but precision rings help it to stay steady. It also can help with controller drift
Falcon, it's the passion you bring that keeps me coming back. Don't ever change.
They could also be useful for people with motion disabilities too.
@@williamthompson1455your console gets the most dust when you’re using it. any dust that settles on it gets blown out nearly immediately
Just go with a case
I love the Precision rings! Its not the same as changing the settings, though I do both. It adds actual resistant to pushing the joycon you can't ever get that with messing with the settings. I stack multiple Precision rings on top of each other because I like my aiming (right thumb stick) really stiff. They allow me to make way more small movements accurately if you have thumb stick extenders. They do lossen over time and you have to replace them eventually.
I was thinking those actually look useful
I think they went out the door when they cost $105. You literally missed the entire point of his argument, lol
Simsok is £37 still expensive but great for the sim racing. They just need to work on the grips lasting longer. On most gaming socks that’s is
That’s the same application I was thinking as well. They remind my of racing boots, which Puma does make.
Puma sponsored the gran turismo championships. I thought of sim racing straight away when I saw them
I’ve used precision rings to pretty great effect, sensitivity in game is one thing, but I preferred the more resistant feel irl, if I didn’t have extended sticks and they still fit I’d still use them. To each their own though..
This is exactly what I was thinking. It's not completely just a gimmick, it has a purpose.
Maybe stack a couple soft ones together?
I too came to say this
5:54 i’ve used precision rings for cod for two years and it’s helped my recoil and my snappiness to lock on, but they break pretty fast and branded ones like kontrol freeks sell them for over $25 AUD when it’s just foam/sponge. they typically come with three resistance levels, the mid and high ones i never use, i only use the low resistance ones. it’s not good in price but for me personally, with running a higher sensitivity, it works well for shooters for me. most other games, not that’s great. i’ve had them for ages and i can’t play shooters without them
I came to the comments to see if anyone would defend these. They seem like they might work. The price is always ridiculous, though.
@@ingramfry7179I’m here for the same reason
8:05 The switchguard is actually a very useful product but not for individuals. There are businesses out there called gaming lounges, and the switchguard prevents customers, or people passing by, from stealing the switch
It's possible that they intended the dock cover as a means of preventing your switch screen from getting damaged. The dock is known to scratch it up if you're not careful.
Thing is, it doesn't look like the plastic actually covers the inside of the dock, so that's not what it would do anyway
@@yourbroelliostfu
The joystick sponge rings are *supposed* to shorten travel time, hypothetically improving aim and response time. I don't think it works in practice with a piece of sponge, but check out the Azeron and the resistance ring you can add to made WASD movement on a joystick closer to actual controller movement and you'll get what they are going for. But also don't buy it, it probably doesn't work in this iteration.
I’m drunk and just got home at 4-‘ who is Karina Abdul jabar and his hammers ?

I found this video hilarious, falcon is undoubtedly funny
I miss light gun games sooo much!!! Duck Hunt is an all-time classic. But those rail shooters? So much fun!!
Area 51 on OG PlayStation with light guns was fun. Yes, setting it up was a pain, and it didn’t track perfectly, but I don’t care! It was fun.
Also, in the case that the controller analog is too loose in general they can help add a bit of resistance depending on your sensitivity
The Puma socks make some sense for driving sims. Many people have better sensitivity for pedals with shoes, so in theory these could help a bit. Not worth the price though.
Papa Falcon's sarcasm is next level in this video 😂😂😂. Specifically referring to the way he roasted those gaming socks.
Tbf that whole “having your ps5 vertical damages it” story was debunked as there was no actual proof to back up that claim.
8:40 the Acrylic switch case is there if You have kids and you don't want them to touch the switch when ever
I've had a Switch since launch, and there definitely was a lot of rumblings about screens getting scratched by the Dock, but I never experienced it myself. The cheaper/easier solution was using a sock?
I remember those rumors. The best solution was a screen protector though, because then your switch was protected from more than just the dock.
Been watching Gameranx for years now, but not really a comment guy. I leave them hear and there, anyway.

Falcon gets a round of applause for simply blowing my mind right out of the bat...the image in my mind was accurately portrayed during number 15 as well. Well played sir bird I laughed
That switch lock tho.... If someone REALLY wanted to steal your switch, and didn't have any tools on them, all they have to do IS UNPLUG THE CORDS FROM THE WALL, THEN BRING IT HOME AND RELEASE THE SWITCH THERE!

0:38 the dock actually can and sometimes does scratch the screen
Does need to be said that Dbrand really handled the killswitch well, replacing faulty ones free of charge
actually a nightmare scenario i think they only tested steam decks w/ the huaying fans
there was a bit of a controversy over the delta/huaying fans sounding different but i think the only real way to tell is to open it up
Apparently the rings at 6:15 are actually pretty decent to help with aiming I’ve heard
It could also be useful to protect limited editions
Nope, the one he shows does not have anything on the back and will not protect the switch screen from getting scratched by the dock. It is only to protect the dock itself from getting scratched.
Damn, nice to hear the good humour kicking in. Keep the good work going!
You know they sell the dust cover for when it's on it's side as well
Falcon......where did you find a clip of a Doozer (10:05) from Fraggle Rock dancing? How many of you folks caught this?
Just to clarify the killswitch case from dbrand doesn't use magnets anymore. Also everyone who got the first batch of magnetic cases got a free upgrade/replacement when they released the new case. So No need to avoid. :)
+1 doesn't deserve being on this list.
Gameranx have got to be the best most relatable gaming channel on youtube!! i feel like if they were to make a game it would be a total hit!!! (hint hint) haha
please keep making amazing content!!!!!
Falcon about the foam rings:
"But seriously. This is just dumb. I don't even really know how to properly articulate what is so useless about these."
😂
So... It's shite.
Break rooms with gaming? Provided by the employer? What planet are you on man
@@ausculto8975 it was Montana and they had a few free to play arcade games and a ping pong table as well as the GameCube for us to relax and use. They treated employees quite well.
honestly surprised this channel finally came up with a list that isn't just a regurgitated version of a similar list from the past. good job!
Wasn't the ps5 vertical thing proven to be fake?
yes
I’d argue that the acrylic case with a lock is to prevent kids from taking the Switch out of the dock and sneaking it to their room at night.
Dude I love these videos where Falcon just goes off. The joint holder bit was great 😂😂😂
The best gimmick controller was for OG xbox.
Gotta love when Falcon gets fired up and his volume goes up by 10. 💚👌🏾
the dust cover is definitely okay for people in old houses or with pets, etc etc. the issue of having to have your ps5 vertical also been pretty much debunked by now too.
Got an actual lol at the Seinfeld bit 😂 another great video!
I can see the switch acrylic lock in number #9 use as a more parenting management thing than a safety thing, i could imagine a kids that really overplay their switch and their parent just come up with a maximum playing hours everyday. So i think it has a use
Can we stop and appreciate the little sailor outfit for child Falcon? 😂 Absolutely awesome!
Love how crazy and unhinged Falcon becomes here, like this is his true unfiltered self 😂 That spliff holder segment 💀
I love that you gave a straight up shoutout for gamernexus, they are doin the hard grunt work for us pc and sometimes console peeps
You can tell that falcon had fun taking out his frustration 😂
I think one niche use for number 15 the switch dock protector could be to customize your switch, get a few of them and either paint them or stick on some decals and you could just slip them onto the dock and have a custom look. They would be interchangeable and never actually alter the dock itself.
I was thinking the same thing! Went to the comments to see if anyone else had the same Idea.
Or if you got the Animal Crossing one and want to protect it.
Great video. Maybe you can make a similar one about best accessories that actually work/improve consoles
That reverso black & white PS5 controller (2:35) was actually pretty fire tbh
4:04 Falcon, if the product is already being compared to the R Zone, then it's already failed.
The idea of two joints burning right next to my nice steam deck is just asking for burns lol
This was the funniest YT video I've seen in a while 😂😂😂😂
As a video game collector and a big Nintendo guy who loves handhelds and gadgets, I was given a Hyperkin Smartboy.
Me: Look at those silly accessories!
Also me: Immediately buys a dust cover
Falcon, you had a coleco Pac-Man? Those table top arcades were for bringing to school and making the other kids jealous during show and tell. That’s how I saw one and I ended up begging my dad to get me a Galaxian at JC Penny’s. I still have mine. 😂
This video was just prime Falcon tearing into something. Had me laughing out loud multiple times. Great video
The commentary in this video is hilarious. But this video was also very helpful.
Maybe the switch cover is for when you have siblings??? In my childhood experiences, siblings can really damage your gear 😂
The only accessory I've ever used were Kontrolfreaks. People say it's dumb and my friend group never really understood but having my right thumbstick twice it's height just feels right. Like legitimately been using the product for like 8-ish years.
one note, a gaming chart is usually less than an office chair, if you think gaming markup is bad, try office markup. a good gaming chair is about 800, a decent office chair is closer to 2000. and a good one can go up to 10k and we are not even taking top of the line there.
You are not killing your PS5 by having it stand up. The "design flaw" is people that disassamble the console, don't get a proper seal on the liquid metal when they put the console back together and then have the liquid metal leak out. It's not something that happens without the console being taken apart.
By taken apart you mean more than removing the covers yes? 😅
@@Skateandcreate9 Jep, removing the heatsink and therefore breaking the tight seal around that raised area that has the liquid metal retained :)
Gaming chairs are the most pointless accessories, they are pseudo-racing buckets... for a stationary activity...
The console dust covers were not made to be used while the ps5 is on. It’s super useful
I feel like some of these could actually be somewhat useful, but very funny video regardless 😂 I actually had a lot of those plastic Wii accessories, and never used em 😂
