Same. I hope there's a season 3, with new contenders and/or maybe some familiar faces. As well as additional challenges not shown in seasons 1 or 2. Ex: family picnic(external/internal threat), after work mugging, festival(crowded area), etc.
@cubefreak123 Considering he has a popular TH-cam channel full of videos of him speaking English, that'd be a quick way to discredit yourself. Not to mention language barriers have never stopped courts from tossing people into prison.
@@MartialArtsJourneysuggestion to fill out the episodes more with useful content - you could do mini backstories with the contestants, so the viewer gets to know them better. Also capture some 'inside the house' chats, jokes and shenanigans. Would add a human touch to the series and also get viewers more invested in the contestants.
I once started a fight at a bar 'cuz some guy called my friend a c*nt... but then again I was high on coke... I felt no pain, and invincible... the best fight of my life before the bouncers dragged us out. \o/
One of the tactical failures is to leave one fight unfinished to go break up another one. The goal is not to be fair or even helpful. The goal is to protect the club from damage and liability. Once you grab a guy, you should not let him go until he's outside the room. If the other guy follows him outside to continue the fight on public property, thats not your problem. If another fight breaks out, then deal with that in sequence -- but if you keep leaving guys "half-finished" then the situation is only going to get worse. The exception, of course, is if there's a deadly weapon in another fight (one of the guys grabs a broken bottle at one point in the scenario) -- then you have to rush to that no matter what the status of the other fights is. Jesse's use of the chair as a grappling device (getting poop man between the legs of the chair and pinning him gently to the wall) was the best move in the whole episode. I would have given him the win for that. That was above and beyond the bouncer's job -- he actually contributed to public safety, not just the club's safety. The city would give him a medal for that.
In terms of doing your job as a bouncer, yes. In terms of self-defence from catching disease, he got too close to poop man. If he instead used a stool, he could create more distance and have a similar level of control. Since this is the Self Defence Championship, sorry Jesse, but overall it wasn't the best decision in terms of self-preservation.
@@JourneyLT If we're going by that logic, then they shouldn't have attempted to break up anything. If your goal is pure self-preservation then don't get into a protective line of work because it, by definition, requires you to sacrifice your own self-defense to a certain degree.
What if they enter again while you are facing the others. Or its not 1v1v1 or 2v2v2 but 4v4 if you are carrying 2 person away other people could try to attack the person you grabbing. Remember its only 2 bouncers against multiple people. Cant apply tactics same way.
Actually, Jessie's forceful commands escalate mental health crises. Jeff handled it PERFECTLY. I've worked with severe I/DD folks, and when it comes to de-escalating them, polite requests work SO MUCH BETTER than commands.
0:16 Ranton just embracing the madness already has me keen for this episode. While I'm rooting for Craig as a fellow Aussie, I'd be just as happy to see Ranton win too
Really enjoying this series. One criticism I'd have for this episode is that there was so much going on during the fights I feel like there should have been a few more camera angles Keep up the great work!
Jeff is way too honest to be a cop. Always get a lawyer and don't say anything without one. Contrary to popular belief, in North America, you are guilty and "suspicious" until proven innocent. Especially if you are poor.
awesome stuff as always, but I still feel like sometimes the uniforms of the contenders are to difficult to differenciate from the other fighters. I would suggest dressing the "opposing force" in one-tone / one color uniforms (no patterns) that would stand out from the "anatomic" uniforms of the contestants. The protective gear should also be one tone/color. Right now in both bar room scenarios when SHTF it's visually just a mess of bodies, quite hard to follow who's doing what. Nathan, Craig and Ranton are ok to spot, wearing white, green and red. But Jesse and Jordan are invisible, because the attackers also have blue and white and grey patterns on their clothes.
Very much agree, it would help if the 'goons' were in all black or white or something. It becomes a mess of colors, especially with the cutting between different cameras, etc.
I've never watched any of Ranton channel but he is easily becoming my favorite out of the group. Just genuinely seems to be enjoying himself and not trying be something he's not. Still rooting for Jesse to win. And Natan is just badass.
I know right 😢. Sucked big time. Then I had to watch all the guys have fun doing the rest of challenges. Which was awesome to see live but also bitter sweet.

@JordanTeachesJiujitsu you represented bjj very well. Especially in the shank tank, and when bouncing with Jeff before the unfortunate knee injury. Best of luck with the surgery and healing up.
Having been a bouncer…pretty accurate in terms how quickly things can turn chaotic and violent. I always described the job at 95% standing around and just chatting with folks…5% of pure human carnage that required split second decision making…often times before you realized you were deciding.
Seeing Ranton in this and the last episode is like watching a friend grow. He’s so friendly and open about not being a fighter but watching him throw down! I can’t help but be so damn proud!
Aside from being entertaining and informative, this episode was just comedic gold all around. Matt rolling into frame while Jessie is talking just about killed me.
15:21 -"by the way, I'm a Monk.." - "Are you a monk?" - 😶 FILM HIM, HE'S LAUGHING ! LOL. Absolutely not guilty, guy is laughing. By international law, you laught, you lose. Everyone knows that. Rantom pulled his monk training on that
I only worked part-time as a bouncer for 6 months, but that was more enough to make me realize that alcohol makes people behave in ways that are very contrary to their nature, so I quit drinking altogether and have never once regretted doing so. To each their own, of course, but it's just not for me, especially since I have a history of alcoholism in my family. Anyway, great show as always, Rokas and team!
Really appreciate this series. Yes, there is martial arts, but the scenarios don't just include fighting. How do you handle aggressive customers in a bar without hurting anyone? How do you justify your actions in legal cases? We see how these train martial artists deal with it and it can be tricky. And sometimes, yeah, it's real. I'd definitely do what Ranton and Craig did in their scenario. An excellent job and looking forward to the last two episodes.
I don't think the point gap corresponds to the difference in the groups' performance. I would have given it 6-4-2, not 6-3-1. At least. Great job, anyway!

Normally I watch TH-cam “on the go” for 5-20 min. on my iPhone or iPad. Since the 3rd episode of Season 1 of USDC for this I put each time YoTube on my AppleTV, I sit down in my preferred armchair with some snacks and soft drink and watch it on TV on my big screen. (I wrote each time:) Absolutely TV quality entertainment and the best martial arts/street-fight/fighting sports/self defence/etc. related show ever (including the ones of big channels). … And indeed this time, in the season 2 the self-defence approach is spot on (though the first season was great fun as well, just the title didn’t fit so good)!
I hope you guys do more scenarios like you did in season 1. Especially with how surprising and real the sexual assault scenario was. That was the episode that made me realise that, yes, you guys are doing the flashy, big fun "self defence" stuff, but you also have true understanding of the actual mentality behind self defence. Having the little court room drama play out here was such a good idea.
@@Leo_machados It's the scenarios challenge from season 1. I don't know which episode number it is, I watched it in the big video they released that was the whole season.

This show is a brilliant idea with great execution and crazy potential. Been binging since the last episode, that thing went viral for a reason. Badass, hilarious, and education.
This is such an incredible concept and good execution. I wish the creators would get sponsorships to make episodes longer and keep this going for many seasons to come. This could even be picked up by a television network.
I think there should be more in-depth explanations for these scorings. I don't really see why Ranton got only 1 point, I think he handled the situation quite well, all things considered. Especially how he used calm verbal communication and humor.
Its also weird how he said that Jesse and Natan did almost as well as Jeff and Jordan and then Jeff and Jordan got double the points. To me their performances seemed the same while Ranton and Craig did a bit worse. But 1, 3 and 6 points are wildly different.
@@_______________00 Exactly, overall they all did pretty well but got massively different points. I think the whole comparative scoring system wasn't a great idea, especially for a challenge like this.
In some of these (like the pub scenarios) they can be a bit hard to follow. It would be nice to begin with a walkthrough by the scenario designer, showing each sub-challenge and the expectation of outcome before showing how the contestants handle it.
It's interesting seeing Craig in comparison to the martial artists since by all means, he should be a weaker combatant and not as equipped but the others often seem to tunnel vision. They have the confidence of knowing how to handle themselves in a fight and rely on their training but as a result, they tunnel vision and focuson on applying that training. Craig doesn't have anything like that and so has to use every trick he can think of to get out of the situations which in turn can lead to him often coming up with clever solutions.

@@MartialArtsJourneyPlease have s parkour expert for next season! I've been doing parkour for 15 years, teaching it for 5 and martial arts for 2 years. I can recommend top level parkour traceurs but not all of them will have any kind of striking or grappling experience. Some of us do, though!

@@sinner2133 Amen, brother!
Yeah this reminds me of network tv shows like Fight Quest and other reality martial art docuseries, but 10 times better since we know most of the participants and their backgrounds
Same. I hope there's a season 3, with new contenders and/or maybe some familiar faces. As well as additional challenges not shown in seasons 1 or 2. Ex: family picnic(external/internal threat), after work mugging, festival(crowded area), etc.
Ranton literally did nothing in the first challenge and still went to jail😂😂😂
Defense in court is also self defense. He didn’t defend well!
Shouldn't they have their lawyers with them from the second episode?
@@abj136 yeah but technically he didn't need to defend himself in court 😅
@cubefreak123 Considering he has a popular TH-cam channel full of videos of him speaking English, that'd be a quick way to discredit yourself.
Not to mention language barriers have never stopped courts from tossing people into prison.
It can be that way sometimes. You can do everything right but if you don’t get the right lawyer you go to jail.
We need the full unedited footage of the trial challenge 😂
😁 The behind the scenes will be available at the end of the championship 😎
@@MartialArtsJourneysuggestion to fill out the episodes more with useful content - you could do mini backstories with the contestants, so the viewer gets to know them better. Also capture some 'inside the house' chats, jokes and shenanigans. Would add a human touch to the series and also get viewers more invested in the contestants.
@@ViperStealthGG Yeah I agree, I would love to see more the dynamics between the contestants
I worked as a bouncer for nearly ten years. I saw more fights in the first challenge on this video than I did in my entire ten years hahaha.
Haha 😁
Meanwhile the clubs in my town are having shootings.
That job ain’t worth the pay. I’m just staying home on my weekends.
i agree with the person above, it really does highly depend on where you live and work
I once started a fight at a bar 'cuz some guy called my friend a c*nt... but then again I was high on coke... I felt no pain, and invincible... the best fight of my life before the bouncers dragged us out. \o/
Aussie is finally getting his chance to show the bouncers from last time how it’s done.
And failed miserably 😂🤷🏻♂️
If your goal is pure self-preservation then don't get into a protective line of work because it, by definition, requires you to sacrifice your own self-defense to a certain degree.
at what point does bouncer = police officer if you have to go wrestle armed people?
What if they enter again while you are facing the others. Or its not 1v1v1 or 2v2v2 but 4v4 if you are carrying 2 person away other people could try to attack the person you grabbing. Remember its only 2 bouncers against multiple people. Cant apply tactics same way.
Actually, Jessie's forceful commands escalate mental health crises. Jeff handled it PERFECTLY. I've worked with severe I/DD folks, and when it comes to de-escalating them, polite requests work SO MUCH BETTER than commands.
I think what we can take away from this is that the ultimate form of self-defence is being australian
🇦🇺
0:16 Ranton just embracing the madness already has me keen for this episode. While I'm rooting for Craig as a fellow Aussie, I'd be just as happy to see Ranton win too
🤙🏻
Really enjoying this series. One criticism I'd have for this episode is that there was so much going on during the fights I feel like there should have been a few more camera angles
Keep up the great work!
2:58 "*Unfortunately* the contenders were not going to be entering the next challange as male strippers..."
👁👄👁
Stay tuned for season 3 tho 🤣🤣🤣
Best competition ever
His accusations don’t make sense from my memory i only threw one punch
-Jeff Chan
As self-defense !
worst defense ever!!
Jeff is way too honest to be a cop. Always get a lawyer and don't say anything without one. Contrary to popular belief, in North America, you are guilty and "suspicious" until proven innocent. Especially if you are poor.
_'is there any evidence that i did it? If not, i'm out of here, bye'_ \o/
Dang, its unfortunate to see Jordan dropped out due to his injured knee, stuff happens it seems. Wishing him well.
0:15 bro is just having fun lmao
The “normal person” has a ton of practical intelligence, and is amazing under pressure! I wish most untrained people were like this.
He is a dad... got to be helping!

@@chainsovwait, wtf? 😂
@@smackssmacks1306 yeah, Ranton told about it on his react stream
Love that conclusion ‘Who votes Natan is guilty?’ crickets…
‘Who is afraid to vote that Natan is guilty?’ nervous laughter and hesitant agreement.
Next time you should totally have a Navy Seal or something compete
awesome stuff as always, but I still feel like sometimes the uniforms of the contenders are to difficult to differenciate from the other fighters.
Feedback received!
Very much agree, it would help if the 'goons' were in all black or white or something. It becomes a mess of colors, especially with the cutting between different cameras, etc.
💯
Totally agree
Ranton with a spear has to be season highlight material.
I've never watched any of Ranton channel but he is easily becoming my favorite out of the group. Just genuinely seems to be enjoying himself and not trying be something he's not. Still rooting for Jesse to win. And Natan is just badass.
Damn, Jordan had to drop out after getting 1st place. Definition of tragic 😢
I know right 😢. Sucked big time. Then I had to watch all the guys have fun doing the rest of challenges. Which was awesome to see live but also bitter sweet.

We love you Jordan! Even if you cant continue thankyou for representing bjj and everything you do
Thanks man! It was a tough pill to swallow. It was really tough seeing the challenges going on without being able to participate 😢. All good though. I tried to rehab my knee since but hurt it again in the summer and will need surgery.
Hope that the surgery goes smoothly and your knee gets better over time. It'd be awesome to see you return in future seasons of this show as well

I always described the job at 95% standing around and just chatting with folks…5% of pure human carnage that required split second decision making…often times before you realized you were deciding.
please make them longer
As long as we'll manage to get enough funding my plan is to make all season 3 episodes longer 👊
Seeing Ranton in this and the last episode is like watching a friend grow. He’s so friendly and open about not being a fighter but watching him throw down! I can’t help but be so damn proud!
Need more of that post-fight court room stuff, feel it's cut away too fast?
Aside from being entertaining and informative, this episode was just comedic gold all around. Matt rolling into frame while Jessie is talking just about killed me.
This show so sick!! Ranton support all the way we just ignore the bar fight 😂
15:21 -"by the way, I'm a Monk.."
- "Are you a monk?"

LOL. Absolutely not guilty, guy is laughing. By international law, you laught, you lose. Everyone knows that. Rantom pulled his monk training on that
The court one was a nice touch something everyone doesn’t think about
TH-cam has truly surpassed traditional programming. Congrats on this amazing project! Im hooked!

Yes! just finished rewatching season 1 and noticed how much they improved from it. Amazing competition!
Ranton and Craig: I quit.
98.7% of TH-cam watching: Best Answer Award😂
‘What is TH-cam’ Let him cook!
That was hilarious...
This shit is better than TV quality. Great show.
The fact Ranton made the whole courtroom laugh, including the witness should be extra points😂
😄
Really appreciate this series. Yes, there is martial arts, but the scenarios don't just include fighting. How do you handle aggressive customers in a bar without hurting anyone? How do you justify your actions in legal cases? We see how these train martial artists deal with it and it can be tricky. And sometimes, yeah, it's real. I'd definitely do what Ranton and Craig did in their scenario. An excellent job and looking forward to the last two episodes.
These videos are always a reminder that Jesse is actually a pretty big dude. He looks huge next to everyone else.
yes dude look small in his Gi .
I don't think the point gap corresponds to the difference in the groups' performance. I would have given it 6-4-2, not 6-3-1. At least.
Great job, anyway!
Ну, кстати, согласна
The fact that Ranton is so idgaf all the time is truly shaolin
Ranton's trial had me in tears
I just want to say... i want more of this! I watched season 1 and now i am waiting for the next episode... It's like the old days, waiting when for the next show.
Thank you for making this and it's nice touch to have an 'average joe' in the mix as well. It's nice to see. I do wish your episodes were longer, but i guess i am fanboy. It's never enough is it? :)
Thanks! As long as the crowdfunding at the end goes well, my intention is to make all season 3 episodes longer 🙏

Okay.. because i love ya! When i have a job again, i might send ya some money! Just promise me making another awesome show! 😉
I think that when it comes to education I don't think there's anything wrong with a little bit of style so long as it gets the point across.
What episode is that?
Yeah man, that challenge was poignant
@@Leo_machados It's the scenarios challenge from season 1. I don't know which episode number it is, I watched it in the big video they released that was the whole season.

Ranton in the court is way too funny
Who saw the end credit scene? I don't blame those guys for not wanting to vote 😄
You should try getting Strickland to run the gauntlet.
@MartialArtsJourney I loved that little Easter Egg 😂, & I don’t blame them 😅. PS. Were you guys in Sydney for this season(I live in Melbourne)?? Last Season was in Western Australia
@@MartialArtsJourney Yeah ahahah. I think any of them that pointed out they had no CCTV were on. Also... Why didn't they have legal representation?
Pls upload the next chapter as a whole like chapter one it's much more fun to watch and we don't have to wait 😁
Nathan would scare me too.
Dude, that bar is intense. Ranton should teach self defense through giving standup performances to defuse the tension.
I'm so happy it's Ranton and Craig together c'mon lads if you win this Ranton becomes an honourary Australian
This show is a brilliant idea with great execution and crazy potential. Been binging since the last episode, that thing went viral for a reason. Badass, hilarious, and education.
I have been watching your videos since the very beginning and love them all, sir.

This is such an incredible concept and good execution. I wish the creators would get sponsorships to make episodes longer and keep this going for many seasons to come. This could even be picked up by a television network.

Jordan picking and carrying these guys like they weigh nothing was crazy.
For the next season, you gotta get Demetrious Johnson!
Do it Mighty Mouse. Give us small guys something to be proud of 😂
I think there should be more in-depth explanations for these scorings. I don't really see why Ranton got only 1 point, I think he handled the situation quite well, all things considered. Especially how he used calm verbal communication and humor.
I think he scored 1 point because he was treating it like a joke.
That's a great idea.
