I Wanted to say that i am pretty sure the second song in this mod which is called Golden lands is Mario land but I could be wrong and before someone says :No it is Wario land not Mario land: Mario land is a game that came out on the gameboy a long time ago

If you wanna know what happend to luigi in the mod,in a Super Mario World romhack called "I hate you" he worked with bowser and there was a boss fight where you would fight him,after you beaten him.Mario gets a cape power and swipes the cape at him making him fall into lava and burned to death,so thats why he looks like that.

The burned skeletal version of Luigi is from a popular Mario creepypasta called "I HATE YOU", in case you're curious.
That version of luigi hates mario and is toxic to mario so mario pushed him into lava thats why he looks zombified

Here’s a summary of each of the antagonists in each of the songs, if i get something wrong or you wanna add on feel free to let me know.
Mario.exe: Essentially a being similar to sonic.exe, not much to say except he is probably the one of the exe characters with the most alterations to his appearance as there isn’t a definite canon version.
Golden land: Believed to just be mario.exe or luigi, but it doesn’t have any concrete info on it unless the devs have clarified, feel free to let me know, but it definitely was inspired by the mario land games, with the songs name being somewhat a reference to mario land 2 which i found pretty cool.
Burned luigi: Based off of the i hate you creepypasta in which luigi is working with bowser out of jealousy and resentment towards mario, the two fight and luigi is hurled into the lava, burning him alive, the blind boos, drowned marios and the i hate you on the wall are definitely nice touches that add to the creepy factor. Though the story itself is pretty bad it helped pave the way for future stories alongside ben drowned, MARIO and sonic.exe and definitely has earned its place here.
Beta game over luigi/hanged boyfriend: two very cool references that both are real world things, one based off the beta game over animation in which luigi becomes possessed, which was scrapped in exchange for the good night game over screen we got, the other is based off a glitch in luigi’s mansion that occurs in a few select areas in which due to an angle change luigi’s shadow raises when it shouldn’t and led to the rumor that luigi shadow is being hanged, i love that they were included in this it makes me really happy.
Wario apparition: this one is based on an old rumor in which someone claimed in either a demo or copy of super mario 64 there was this bizarre wario head in it, along with other odd things, leading them to believe every version of the game was personalized in some way, it was actually based off of a wario head that appeared in footage during an E3 96 panel and has been a legend for many years since, a really fun addition which surprised me but is really cool nonetheless.
MX/Mario 85: Based off the mario pc port, which it itself is inspired by the sonic pc port and lord x, in it mx drags lucas into a copy of super mario bros. that he inhabits, which he must try to evade and escape mx and survive, it’s cool he was included here, but it’s almost a given due to his popularity.
Racist mario: Based off the flashgitz mario animation of the same name, in which mario goes crazy and begins killing everyone after sonic and the gang along with other characters join in, calling them race traitors in the process, obviously a gag song but a hilarious addition too.
God this took a bit, but i hope the people who read it enjoy it or maybe learn something new from it.

I think mario.exe's design here is based off of an old creepy image of mario, with exe-style eyes, sharp teeth, and similar lighting. If you search up "mario creepypasta" on here it might come up in a thumbnail. It even has the knife.
