For it's medium of Anime/Manga, One Piece is a Modern Odyssey, the LoTR of Anime, an actual masterpiece in writing. Whenever you see a person throw complaints, usually something along the lines of "Mid", complaining about stuff not being entertaining to their personal taste, having seen 2-3 episodes and dropped it and basically claims those 3 episodes are sufficient enough experience to claim the entire show is bad/boring, usually it's a person with zero to No knowledge on the former subjects mentioned in the first line. The complaints and Non-existent critiques that are in reality, just someone crying out their poor opinion, while trying to frame it as an objective critique, they all originate from a place of unknowledge. Their incompetence causes them to overestimate their own competence, which in a finer wording, is called the Dunning-Kruger Effect. Now, I know this comment will tick off these exact type of people, so it's kind of low-effort bait mixed with truth, just to see how many on this video alone got that Dunning-kruger in them. Now *one piece* of criticism about something you said in the video. Gear 5 is *Not* the most iconic transformation. Definetly has broken the internet, the warner bross animation was very cool. Iv'e seen people debating which transformarion is more iconic between MUI/UI and gear 5. In my honest opinion i think MUI and ui broke the internet and website for much longer than ep 1070 and 1071 as dbs 128-129-139-130-131-121 broke the internet everytime. Also i think that the only bad thing about the new episode is the pacinng of the fight. Ofc they only did 2-3 moves and just stopped, while in every dbs episodes i mentioned we could actually see how strong the new transformation was. We knew about gear 5 for months too...

speaking from experience of avoiding OP since i was a child and severely regretting it - my brother used to watch OP as a kid and i remember always leaving the room bc Luffy’s english voice annoyed tf outta me, and i was never interested in pirates. My last bf watched OP and i watch it w him here n there (those were the dressrosa, wci, and zou days). I enjoyed it then but never wanted to sit down & watch it. When the live action came out last summer, i thought id give it a try & i really loved it. so i sat my ass down to watch the anime, i caught up in January. annnnnddddd man, do i regret not getting into it sooner. i wish someone would’ve told me it’s a story of liberation and found family, i think that explanation would’ve peaked my interest instead of just some kid wanting to be pirate king. i’m mad at myself for not getting into it sooner. Both series impacted each other, Oda has also stated multiple times that Naruto has surpassed him multiple times. Naruto hasn’t had a new movie in a while whereas one piece has had multiple. Naruto was bigger in the west where the movie culture was almost dead until dbs broly. 9:13 these are achievements based on being long, a series isn’t inherently better for being long 9:25 naruto focuses less on making mascots and it’s harder to sell merch in a part of the world where anime is nonexistent 9:29 could just be worst contracting. Dragon ball has made even more money then even op in its lifetime but Toriyama still makes less money then oda. Keep in mind that Kishimoto is a Buddhist and probably cares less about money then Oda does. Cause there have barely been any new transformations by the time tiktok became a staple. Mui Goku became popular when Anime wasn’t big in the west. It’s easily more iconic then G5.

Both are annoying. There’s nothing that puts nami above Sakura besides not having a romance storyline. Which admittedly does make Sakura look worse. Nami and Sakura are still very similar and it’s not fair to bash one but praise the other

Without Luffy, the story of One Piece does not exist, without Nami they're not getting across the Ocean, period, and without Robin they're never getting to the final island (The goal of the story), since she's the only one alive that can decipher the Poneglyphs that leads there. The actual Replaceable crew members includes fan favorites such as Zoro, Sanji, Chopper, Franky etc. And nobody in the fanbase actually considers Nami annoying. Ultra instinct is literally just the newest color swap of all other super saiyan transformations with the exception of 3 and 4, but every power up is just x character getting stronger but for the most part having the same moves. Don't get me wrong, they are iconic in their own right, I grew up watching dragon ball, but the transformations are just kinda boring.
What if, hear me out i watched both, imagine that. Not sure I'd even give best shonen to one piece, because one of the main draws of shonen are the fights, and both bleach and naruto clear in that regard, I'll give it the other catagories, although I perfer the other two, so not an objective fact.

Iv'e seen people debating which transformarion is more iconic between MUI/UI and gear 5. In my honest opinion i think MUI and ui broke the internet and website for much longer than ep 1070 and 1071 as dbs 128-129-139-130-131-121 broke the internet everytime.
Also i think that the only bad thing about the new episode is the pacinng of the fight. Ofc they only did 2-3 moves and just stopped, while in every dbs episodes i mentioned we could actually see how strong the new transformation was. We knew about gear 5 for months too...

speaking from experience of avoiding OP since i was a child and severely regretting it - my brother used to watch OP as a kid and i remember always leaving the room bc Luffy’s english voice annoyed tf outta me, and i was never interested in pirates. My last bf watched OP and i watch it w him here n there (those were the dressrosa, wci, and zou days). I enjoyed it then but never wanted to sit down & watch it.
When the live action came out last summer, i thought id give it a try & i really loved it. so i sat my ass down to watch the anime, i caught up in January. annnnnddddd man, do i regret not getting into it sooner. i wish someone would’ve told me it’s a story of liberation and found family, i think that explanation would’ve peaked my interest instead of just some kid wanting to be pirate king. i’m mad at myself for not getting into it sooner.
But, oh well im fucking here now and i’m obsessed w it. the story is great, the characters are so dynamic, the world building is incredible. fuck i wish there was more episodes 1000 is not enough 😭😭😭 now i gotta dive into the manga lol
