In this video I am demonstrating the TAMA S.L.P. Series Bubinga snare drum. This is one beautiful looking snare drum with a sound that matches its looks. TAMA came up with their S.L.P. (Sound Lab Project) to give drummers the ability to find their perfect snare drum at a great price.
This drum is a 6" x 14", 12-ply all-Bubinga shell that has a tight and dry sound, along with great projection and tone. The ring the drum gives off after a hard rim shot is really pleasant and musical. The beautiful Bubinga wood is specifically coupled with black nickel hardware that adds not only a great look, but great tone and resonance. The drum comes with TAMA's ratchet style throw-off and removable butt plate, Steel Mighty Hoops, Starclassic Lugs, and 20-strand Starclassic carbon-steel snappy snares. All of those components come together for a versatile snare that will work in any style of music.
