I love the role of Loadmasters. I'm hoping in the near future I will be one. But for my countries airforce (NZ). Although we don't typically work on planes, our squadrons use helicopters instead. Agusta 109 light utility helicopters & NH90 helicopters.
Being a loadmaster seems pretty cool don't think I'd make it through SERE school tho cause I don't know how to swim

Do you get airborne training for this?
i wear glasses wound I be able to qualify and also when your at meps do they let you take the test with your glasses or no?
You can qualify with Glasses. You will need to bring them and your current prescription to the MEPS when processing

Ideally you SHOULDNT be afraid of getting shot at.

@@estevanfrias6677 well man, loadmasters don't push pallets (C-5 loads do sometimes cuz there are a lot of them in one plane), they do spotting k-loaders often, but most of it is paperwork. As 2T2 we hate when loads overshadow our career field. That is kind of disappointing when you build that pallet, do everything up to positioning it in the plane. Just keep in mind, that if you wanna do real cargo ops, come to 2T2, we are doing a lot of it.

@nereidacastro88 Aircraft loadmaster score is General 57, you must be a US citizen and pasa a flight physical.

I wish someone replied to this because I feel the exact same. I'm considering this role for my country's Airforce so its a bit different, but I too hate maths and it isn't my strong point. But I love every other aspect of this role.

@@toinfluence2231 Glasses is fine, they might just give you prescription goggles instead so you'd look goofy but otherwise you'd be fine.
So do they have to jump out the plane at all?
Loadmasters do not as part of their career requirements.

Do you have to be really good at math to do this job?
Nicholas, it helps if an applicant is proficient in math, but it is not required. Your Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test scores, physical exam, citizenship and moral standards determine your job/career qualifications.
