Then in the public we see Iron Mike Tyson the animal who takes out whoever is in front of him. Complicated to the extent that he can be loved and hated by the same people depending on which Mike Tyson shows up

Actually, Tyson made it very clear to the other inmates that he had no desire to be a 'heavy' or be a big boss in the joint. He just wanted to do his time and gtfo.Truth is, he was not in a really bad prison. It was medium security. It's not like he was in San Quentin.

It's a scandal that politicians are not held responsible by choosing to have many future victims instead of rehabilitation. We need rehabilitation, it stops future victims becoming victims. Politicians know this, they have the information, but they choose to create more victims.
@@Allyourheroswenttohell "The reoffending rate for those released from Bastoy prison speaks for itself. At just 16%, it is the lowest in Europe."
16% reoffending rate. USA has 76%. Think of all those victims.
"You don't know me from a can of paint." Not the most profound quote in this interview by a long shot, but it struck me... I guess to me it shows how even in the small ways, Mike is a thinker. He's empathetic. I know Mike says that there will only ever be one Ali, but with his philosopher's mind and warrior's heart, I think there will only ever be one Mike Tyson.
I thought Mike gave an amazing interview. Prison really clarified a lot in his mind and he used the time wisely. The man was a prodigy in the ring and I just wish his reign at the top could have been longer.
I agree
Damn! Mike Tyson enlightened me mentally! The best interview I've ever seen!
Rip Larry, One of the best Mike Tyson Interviews!
Is it just me or has Larry king always been old 😂😂
Lmao yes I was thinking the same thing😂😂😂
Crazy to think he was just 25 years old in this video :0
"Not unhappy, just aware of my circumstances" Wow... I love you Mike, no homo. But huge idol of mine
Class. Could listen to Mike all day when he talks like that. Deeply profound, intelligent and articulate thinker.
people like mike and larry are the kind of people who I can relate to. Just 2 men from different walks of life but yet, could still converse with each other, be genuine with one another. Such traits are not always a given in this world.
My all time favorite person - Mike Tyson. With all of his weaknesses, as with all of us, he is pure as pure can be, authentic as real can be.
The Man is Legend! The King of Boxing! Inspiration for decades of generations!
Mike Tyson is my favorite celebrity by far! R.I.P Larry King! Great interview!
0:02 I believe everyone that is involved in my life one day or the other will betray me, i believe that" How true!! Don King, Desiree Washington etc. This guy is a genius!
Industrial Revolution28 not cuz
Or he created it for himself by allowing the belief. Not that it's good or bad. It made him a stronger man.
This was after the Desiree thing
Robin givens, Supreme betrayal
When Tyson talked about history of boxing you could see the happiness
I recall when Mike was in reform school he was given the opportunity to box only if his grades got better. And instantly his grades shot up from a 2nd grade reading to 6th overnight. Knowledge is one thing but Intelligence is just something some people have a knack for. It's not so much about knowing something but more about deciphering and figuring things out and Mike has always been a deep thinker even though he was uneducated in the traditional sense. One thing I notice is he can retain info.
DemiGodX yes and he pulled his teacher over and had a quiet discreet word about his grades! Clever!
Lol
Wow
Will power and DRIVE to move FORWARD.
Never live in the past only look forward, the past only holds you down. Although you can also learn from your past, you have to decide which times to learn and which times to not think about the past.
I think Mike would make a great friend
Love this dude ... never knew how much I would appreciate him being a inspiration to me 💯💯
This dude is SMART n RESPECTED love listening to this dude
what a human guy,ive always loved and understood Mike as i grew up while others misunderstood him and badly judged his person for things he did at certain moments of his life.awesome boxer & person
One of the greatest interviews i have ever seen. Mike Tyson is really a very smart man.
My greatest obligation is to Allah. --- Mike Tyson.
Tyson did everything a muslim should not do, he drank alcohol, did drugs and had sex outside marriage.
No one is perfect, and Allah forgives all sins except for shirk (associating partners with God). “Allah Almighty said: O son of Adam, if you call upon me and place your hope in me, I will forgive you without hesitation. O son of Adam, if you have sins piling up to the clouds and then ask for my forgiveness, I will forgive you without hesitation. O son of Adam, if you come to me with enough sins to fill the earth and then you meet me without associating anything with me, I will come to you with enough forgiveness to fill the earth.” - Tirmidhi
He is not a Muslim anymore
walid hus Do you know this as a fact? I've seen a video of him performing umrah to Mecca in 2010.
@@Rhymezny in one of the interviews Tyson admitted that he is not a Muslim "every time I go to the mosques or churches I find Devils when I look for God I see Devils my ethic is to just be a good human being" Mike Tyson
Wow Mike told it straight up gimme the currency of a country and I'll create the laws. Kid from the streets when given the right opportunity can achieve anything!
I adore the last part of your comment! ❤l
11:17 "In America big business is prison.... It's a revolving door situation."
Editing him when he speaks about his faith/Islam/Allah. Happened twice.
Gamba he got out what he wanted to say. He always does.
Roborav, do human beings like yourself always blame god for your own fuck ups in life? Let that sink in before you blame god for forgetting something

The unorthodox different perspectives and speeches that mike tyson does are really good to hear.. Im glad he's not afraid of being different. I see someone whose astray from society showing how great it is to be different.
You can really tell that mike likes Larry..that’s why he flows and opens up so much
Mike Tyson is a deep deep thinker
Hes like a sponge
Absorbing information
The man is obviously autistic. Probably a savant. An ordinary person would not able to absorb information like he does and put it into boxing. If he had taken any other profession and had the right direction he would have been the best at it. It just happened to be boxing. Mike tyson is autistic. I wish he was diagnosed because he would be a great spokes person for the community.

Not just the best boxer of all time but yes ofcourse this man is extremely intelligent and yes the more I learn about this legend the more I respect!!
I recently watched his Podcast with Joe...
This man is very knowledgeable and humble, people always and continue to underestimate this guy and what he went through in life.
I’m hear in 2020 watching this brilliant interview! Tyson is a very intelligent man! Obviously had plenty of time to think deeply!
One thing I always think is what must the other inmates think when the baddest man on the planet becomes your cell mate! I bet he was top dog straight away!
Actually, Tyson made it very clear to the other inmates that he had no desire to be a 'heavy' or be a big boss in the joint. He just wanted to do his time and gtfo.Truth is, he was not in a really bad prison. It was medium security. It's not like he was in San Quentin.
Emma Deeba I just get on to the interview and it’s has a lot of messages that I think it’s key
@@Boxingbear Still I'd rather be at home than spending time in that prison.

Absolutely fascinating interview, brilliant.
The more I hear Mike speak, the more I Love him and believe in his innocence ❤️
@Kobo King
Bill Cosby's daughter?? Really? Have never seen the interview. Thanks
The more I know this man...the more I respect him!!
Whatever happens happens. Even in 2020 Mike Tyson still maintains the same quote. Whatever happens happens
Mike Tyson is definitely the guy to have your back in a place like that!!
Side note... To fight the way he did through his career you have to be smart and intelligent. This interview shows what a smart man he is. Great to see in the present that he has found a greater peace. Absolute legend!!
I love when rare stuff is on youtube where literally anyone can see it
It's crazy how being a fighter and being a philosophical deep thinker go hand in hand more than we might think.
Why is that
It's not crazy it's common. Musashi, Bruce Lee, Mike Tyson, ME. We are all alike.
Don't judge a book by its cover- Mike Tyson reads books cover to cover.
Awesome interview. I would like to meet Mike Tyson someday! I’m a big fan for life!
He definitely is transformed and intelligent. Speak brother💜💜💜
There’s nothing more that you need than a fine body & a good mind....Mike Tyson...fantastic stuff!
Mike been making ppl “LISTEN” to him for years! Smartest boxer ever.
Love this guy! Sharper than most people ever gave him credit for. Today his podcast is brilliant! He would have been the greatest if he had Cus for 10 more years.
Larry next to Mike looks like a cheap story chaser ... RESPECT Mike!
Great interview with the greatest boxer to ever live. MIKE TYSON 👍🥊👍
HIS PRAISE AND CONNECTION TO ALLAH SEEMED VERY STRONG AND SO REAL
People never give Mike the credit that he deserves; that he is smarter than the media made him to be. Iron Mike is thoughtful and introspective. His words speak of wisdom and you never hear that from many boxers.
damn this was good, never seen this
I have long since accepted Mike Tyson voice, as the voice of toughness. When you hear his voice, you know that's the voice of a killer
My neighbor met Mike Tyson, they said he's a nice guy
How can you not love Larry King. Honestly I dont think ive seen a more respecting, amicable interviewer. I mean Mike Tyson warmed to him and remains calm and not defensive in anything hes talking about, that speaks volumes about Larrys character
"Human beings are capable of anything"
For sure...Anyone can change and turn.
Yes sir
Only few would have been able to understand mike s beautiful soul and determination to become a better man a better soul. He was underrated as a person
Oh my God, this man is brilliant. I'm a university graduate with MBA but his intelligence still amazes me.
When he was boxing I didn't really like Mike Tyson. I didn't really know him back then and still don't. However, I now absolutely love the man. He personifies the word 'redemption'. The man has class, humbleness and is startlingly and deeply intelligent. He can beat you physically and mentally. Since he retired from boxing, I have come to realise what a truly great human being Mike Tyson is and always was. God bless you Mr Tyson.
absolute legend. the best boxer ever by far. in his day no one could ever touch him

Now that I'm watching the new hotboxin pod casts, mike is getting recommended like crazy.. But awesome to see how intelligent he is especially with all the people that talked down on him when I was growing up...
I feel the same way, he has vindicated himself.
When Mike talks like this you wonder what the hell went wrong. He seems so self aware and wise about the situation he is in, yet when he got out of jail he was a train wreck. Guess its good that he is finally getting it together now
