Damn I remember freshman year, I used to blast this entire album on a daily basis through out school and walking home. I couldn't get enough of this, especially this song. I don't listen to Born of Osiris anymore, but this song still remains my favorite. This brings back so many memories, so many pothead and spiritual awakening memories.. lol

Best BOO lineup so far. Not saying Jason made the band what it was in any way, of course. As long as Lee and Cameron are in this band, they'll still be Born Of Osiris. This is just them at their peak, really hope they stick to this direction.
I remember seeing these guys in my hometown before they blew up. Got to talk to the singer. Cool dudes. Still pumping out good albums!
I'm from phoenix and not everyone listens to this kind of music but if you do find those people there are alot.

I am BLOWN AWAY at the amount of talent/skill/musical fine-tuned badassery that is displayed in this song. Their new album is great IMHO but, I do hope they make another album on this level

I'd say this song, dissimulation, regenerate, and two worlds of design are my favs for this album.
Petrucci surely knows how to ask for a signature guitar. Every damn metal band I saw, surely start somehow with his Musicman signature. Be it BOO or Periphery, or something else band.
Isn't Petrucci Jake Bowan (from Periphery)'s uncle? That might explain some of the connection.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Chelsea Grin should feel extremely lucky to have Jason in their band. I can't wait to hear more of Jasons influence in their new songs!

Brandon Wilson In my opinion it's overproduced and the songs sound almost the same, with blast beats in the middle. It's not bad, but it could have been better.
The Discovery had a bunch of awesome ideas forged into smoothly flowing songs, with tasteful chord progressions and melodies that kept things interesting when ideas would get old (Recreate and Singularity being prime examples of this). TWDA feels like (to me at least, I think it's dope that you like it :)) a bunch of quick, repetetive ideas thrown together in a big bowl of djent stew. There are awesome, thrilling ideas all throughout the album, but there's just too much of the same thing! Ideas don't flow well from one to the next (The outro to absolution comes out of fucking nowhere. If done much better, that could easily be their best song), and there's way too much mindless 000-0-0-000-00 riffing. Keep on doing you though, man! Like what you like, and don't let other's opinions change what you dig! :)

I'm down...although he is still on shitty terms with them. BOO blocked Jason on Twitter recently for making a comment about how they still owe him a decade's worth of royalties for The Discovery. So sadly they will never reunite.

Nah, people have always commented on Richardson being difficult to work with, why do you think he's never been able to hold down being in a band and has taken to being a solo artist? I think it's extremely ironic for JR to comment on anything to do with royalties whilst he openly committed plagarism on a song he ADMITTED openly on Twitter that Lee wrote.
I just don't think this album was the direction that BOO ultimately wanted to go and that's why they decided to boot him, and I don't think that's a problem at all - it's their band, I don't think they would have any issue writing another album in this vein either. While The Discovery was a great album... I view it less as Born of Osiris, and more as Born of Osiris feat. Jason Richardson. BOO nail the whole cinematic theatre progressive metal shtick like no other band does today.
Seriously though, its been 9 years and the whole bring back Richardson thing is kind of getting boring at this point, move on.

Dude I just saw Osiris live on the 3rd and Lee killed every solo perfectly even the follow the signs one which is probably their worst solo ever. He also killed bow down abstract art open arms exhilarate machine divergency and illusionist. So go see them live now and faith in him will truly be restored. FYI he wrote recreate
