    I think the real upside to these isn't the "better scoring" but instead that they won't (shouldn't) break or warp from hitting the floor like most of the metal stems out there. Maybe robin hoods are less likely as well? I guess long-term testing is the only way to know either of those though.

    Most of the time my darts bounce off and fall really hard on the floor; plastic shafts break, and those with aluminum tips bend. With the technology this one have tho, I reckon it would last longer. Thanks for the review. I would be buying one now.

    I bought these for my mother when she comes over to play on my soft-tip Dart machine I called them the door stopper shafts😂 had them for about 4 years now still working great😊for novice nervous Dart players who likes to play for fun but always drops their darts and break the shafts .these are good to have for your drunk friends to use on your loaner darts😂

      It certainly adds a bit of fun to the game. Also a perfect example of why I like trying different things because I bought these as a joke but in the end they really weren't all that bad.

    Those Bavaria ultra barrels are fabulous. I have the model 02 ones and use the Cosmo #3 carbon standard stems with Cosmo super kite flights. Absolutely love them. I got tired of various other shafts not holding my flights well. I was always paranoid while playing thinking the stems or flights were coming loose.

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like the 02 model. How grippy is the front end? It looks like mild razor grip in the pics.

    • @trolldog72
      @trolldog72 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WorldwideDarts I would say the grip using your scale would be 2.5-3. I love the small diameter of the barrel. I feel more confident going for the third T20 instead of dropping to T19. Thank you for turning me to the Cosmo shafts and flights. Everytime I click the flight on I know I can simply focus on my shots. Sooo many terrible shafts out on the market that are pure trash.

    It looks to me like part of your "special April darts" design has been copied. I kept thinking it would unscrew from the barrel and be a pen, kind of what the spring looks like. Great bit of fun with that review, still open minded and honest. Great video as usual.

    🤣🤣 we do love some gimmicky darts! When I started playing in the late 80’s it was hammer heads and Dyna star flights and stems. Those have long since been retired in favor of standard fixed point and nylon shafts with standard size flights. Couldn’t imagine going back to them either!

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We were all there at one time. My first "real" darts were a spring loaded set from Meuller's Sporting Goods back in the early 1990's. Looked like Harrows Dimplex darts. My best friend used the Dynastars 😂

    • @greggsmith7388

      I’m not sure what to think of these shafts. They almost remind me of door stoppers. It seems to me these shafts could be interchanged with the Anti Deflection Mechanism on your Custom Darts. By the way you said on that video that you had a bunch of those custom sets made and you would put some up for sale. Did you sell out of them?

    I used to think spinners would avoid deflections. But if you dont have spinners i think if your darts stand up in steel tip they act as a backboard. And act as catchers if you stack them in soft tip.

    So, they do something, just as rotating stems and flights, but it's never ensured to have a positive effect, you can't control deflections, you can change them but don't control them, probably still stick to regular shafts, but not gonna bury them without personally trying

    Good review but I had recently got a pair like you on sale and said let's give a go went to my league match and on my 3rd throw had a bounce out and the thing snapped 😳 at the base just before the threads and a second 1 broke right in the middle at the end of my match 😳 Harrows is a great company I use their products frequently but idk I think they missed the mark on these stems BTW your reviewed stems seemed to be more flexible then the ones I had those were more ridged less springy if you will any way that MR.WWD

    I like your evaluation of the stems. The visuals were excellent. But your statement that the Pro's don't use certain set ups. So we shouldn't. Then all of us should be using shaped #6 or kite flights. Since the vast majority of the pros use them. Based on your set up, you are not following your own advice. Also, I have seen several PDC and Challenge Tour Pro's using spinners - mainly Clic and a few Fit. "If it works for you - Use It." Don't feel less than because you are using a "Gimmick".

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's not just the pros though, it's the overseas players in general. League players in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Holland, etc... Spinners are nearly non existent outside of the USA. I can give two examples of former top pro players that use incredibly small flights. Phil Taylor and Justin Pipe. I cannot give two examples of any top pros that use spinners in the past 40 years.
      Spinners are just a part of the American darting culture. People are going to copy what they see. Same goes for movable points in the 1990's and everyone using knurled darts. Just an American thing. I didn't say it was wrong to use them, just a bit baffling. In many other sports we tend to copy what the top players in the world are doing but here in the states everything is the opposite. Even the game we play, cricket.

    I don’t know, they seem to do the job they were designed to do. Though there is absolutely no truth in advertising anymore, they’ll say whatever they have to, to sell the product. Mo BS = Mo Money! I think spinner flights or shafts are more gimmicky and aren’t really functional as they claim. I don’t know what all the hate us about the collapsing tips are; I think they work! I had hammer heads. Unfortunately they fell out of my pocket while partying with the Brits in the military. Needless to say I never recovered them. Hammerheads on a soft tip board though is questionable if they really work imo.

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just about every American had Hammerheads back in the day. I had a set myself. Then when I went to my first ever tournament in 1996 I met up with all the professional players. Bristow, Taylor, Lowe, Harrington, Priestley, Warriner, etc... and not a single one of them used movable points yet they were kicking our butts all over the board. It was right then when I realised they were a gimmick. They were throwing better than anyone I'd ever seen and didn't need special points to play well.
      The points are even more gimmicky today as the board technology has improved. With blade wire boards the points make even less sense. They had a good run in the 1990's and 2000's but those points are a thing of the past. Or should be anyway
