i use my finger super quick
Me as same as you 😂
I though i was the only one Who make this.Bc i m lazy
Yep... fingers do a great job..
I just lick it.
I use steel wool
and that what is sponge used for on soldering station 😂
steel wool work the best
Crazy how good you are talking with the camera.
hmm, i normally use metal brush
What is this tip made out of
I am using that method also
Does it remove oxidation
No! 😂
@@allgamingplatform0408 well how the fuck do i do that
Never use water, it will dramatically shorten the life of your tips.
Use copper braid or brass "wool" that wicks off old solder and contaminants, use flux as well for very dirty tips.
Re-tin your tip using flux core solder.
Sponge/cloth with water is a big no-no!!
It's always worked for me, using it slightly damp, brass wool ends up removing the plated part faster
@@vitorhlopes Sure for amateurs it's fine, professionals who solder all day do not use water.
The brass does not remove the plating, it wicks solder from the tip. You don't forcefully abrade the tip, a gentle wipe across the brass is all that's required.
Think about what happens each time the water evaporates from the tip, it leaves mineral deposits (salts) that cause corrosion.
@@kenny1034 I weld every day and I realized that brass wool does remove the protective layer, that's my experience. Maybe I didn't realize the cons of using water because in my workshop I always use distilled water for everything (I get it from the air conditioning)
@@vitorhlopes Welding is very different from electronic soldering.
I explained to you that the brass isn't to be used as an abrasive, only as a medium to transfer the excess solder to.
If you don't wish to change your methods to provide greater longevity to your equipment that's up to you.
not really
Use your tongue
USE IT ON 310 OR 325°C and be good.
It will oxidize
If you use Sand paper
@@gamespace0125 if you use water, silly gamerboy.
Lemon salt
ese método tampoco es muy bueno ese cambio brusco de temperatura hace que la punta se agriete con el tiempo, pero está bien para personas que no hacen soldaduras con estaño por mucho tiempo
Use 2000 number emery sheet
E água ,,?
Just toilet paper......
finger wag- i click goodbye!!
