I do think that this episode healed something within Ekko when it comes to his feelings and thoughts towards Jinx. There was always this underlined blame that Jinx had towards him back in season 1, calling him "the Boy Savior" and it kind of felt like she was saying that if he was so good at saving people then why didn't he save her? And Ekko did have feelings towards her for a long time, "until she started talking to the gun," and so her downfall affected him in a much different way since he thought that he had lost Powder forever, and maybe even blamed himself for not trying to get her out of Silco's hands. I even said in my previous comment that some people will be ''satisfied'' with the ending and some won't, I am not the only one feeling this way.
The start of the dance scene is a call back to when the firelights first met jinx in season 1 ep 4, you have the same slide that put bombs on firelights but this time popped balloons, then her walk is the same as she walks out of the smoke but this time she walks through the crowd
Powder is alive !!! There is no body of Jinx, there is no death. The first sentence that Powder says in the series in the first episode is ( one day, I’m gonna ride in one of those things ) and in the end of the series the last thing is the boat flies across the sea, leaving the city. Jinx vs Powder fly away in the boat that she said that one day she would ride
we also see her shimmer streak zoom off into one of the vents during the explosion, that’s why cait smiles when she was looking at them afterwards. jinx did what she said she would, left to break the cycle and give her sister a shot at happiness. 💙
@@chance757 just rewatched that part, there is a streak but Vander was holding her. She would have to get out of his grip survive the fall then run off before the explosion. If it did happen Vi would not have seen it, she turned on her back and was screaming/crying. No point did I see her smiling.
@@aarondog88 she doesn’t have to survive a fall, she can move fast through the air and we’ve seen it multiple times throughout the show. she does it in ep. 8 of s1 when she attacked caitlyn, in ep. 3 of s2 when fighting vi, and and ep. 6 of s2 when fighting rictus and that’s just off the top of my head. she left to break the cycle of violence and trauma like the silco in episode 8 told her to; this way both she and her sister both have a shot of true happiness. sad that it has to be separate though.
Heimer isnt dead, Yordles cant be killed, they just end up back in Banddle city. Interesting story is a Yordle named Vex who is depressed because she cant die.
The saddest part is I know that Vi would absolutely give her life if it meant that everyone could live in a world a beautiful and peaceful as that. I’d do the same thing. But I love how even though our Ekko left to go back home, this worlds Ekko is still alive and continues to live a beautiful life with Powder.
27:34 if your wondering who Juliette might be it’s not confirmed but theirs an artist from the first season named Juliette Dominguez and she’s still alive as far as we know which isn’t much. Some think it might someone’s family member or child who passed away and they just happened to share the same name, which is 100% a possibility but nothing has been confirmed on which Juliette it might be.
Love how the English translation to the title of the French song Ekko & Powder were dancing to is called "My Dearest Enemy" Also super cool how they were dancing at 4 frames per second in that scene - the exact amount of time his Z-drive can rewind,. This show is perfect.
I think when Caitlyn was looking at the diagram layout, she looked at these vents- now hear me out- jinx is full of shimmer right? So she has healing properties. What if. The explosion pushed her into the vents??
If you watch the explosion slowed, you see a singular purple streak soar toward one of them, so yes, she quite potentially(most likely) launched herself into them with her shimmer speed just before the explosion. Otherwise it would be weird for them to just have one singular line of purple light zip away from the explosion roughly toward them, and then show Cait looking at the diagram like that. Other hints is the ending "The End" being in her glitch font. People also bring up the ending airship, which yeah, could also be her as reference to one of her season 1 episode 1 lines as people have been stating. So she definitely could be alive.
As others have pointed out... If he stayed he would be robbing the other Ekko of his life... Not to mention that he would be abandoning the firelights in his own world. Which ''The boy saviour'' would never do.
You can also tell heimerdinger changed a lot during his stay in that timeline where he improved a lot of lives and where he quotes those lines “How can I forsake another brilliant mind in need again”(referring to Jayce) “Whats the point of the device like this if you don’t enjoy the time you have”(referring to Victor)
I swear when they said it I went "MEN" in my mind because I thought it was pretty obvious they were a thing in this universe? "Zaun royalty", "trouble in paradise?" , "where's the little lady", the first scene shows doodles that seem love notes? Hehe they made me doubt for a second that I had shipping goggles on but seeing this comment I do think it was obvious!😅
If you look back at season 1 after the explosion on his apartment jayce was going to jump right before viktor came in and stopped him. That’s probably why there is no jayce in the other timeline
Basically Jayce died in this universe and the possibility that Ambessa would not come and bring her whole army and lackeys to assert dominance over piltover and zaun
the first scene as the alt ekko is taking notes you can see his doodle on his notebook, pow pow with a heart, they were already together. also why later on our ekko asked powder to pretend its the first time
Both characters needed to experience the opposite of what they were used to, to become more balanced... Ekko always living in hardship had to experience a kind of utopia to see how wonderful it was and to open his heart up... Jayce who basically lived his whole life with a silver spoon in his mouth had to get a taste of dystopia to realize that things can go horribly wrong... All characters got a little something that was in their blind spot to become more well-rounded overall.
A cool detail I didn't ser anyone talking about is the fact that powder had more hextech gem fragments, but didn't use them because she realized ekko was not from that timeline and wanted to spend more time with him. At least, this is how I interpreted the scene where she puts the pendant in the drawer.
What's a bit bittersweet to me is... Look how much better everything is when Heimerdinger is simply trying to help Zaun for just 3 years. And because Hextech and Jace never happened, he would still be on the council. It really shows how damaging to an entire community blind spots in power can be.
Ekko & Power were obviously already together in this timeline. That's why he asked if they could pretend its the first time. How did you guys not pick up on that?
@_dashyy Claggor or Milo asked if there was "trouble in paradise" which is a euphemism for a couple fighting, Benzo asked where the "little lady" is which is usually a nickname for a girlfriend or a wife. And of course, the kiss, Ekko asking to pretend that it was their first time.
Ekko, this entire episode realizing that he's in the 'bad end' timeline. Jayce, seeing what the Void is really after The minute that Ryze, the real main character showed up, there's going to be some planes and universes hopping. It's still technically part of the League of Legends-Verse
Episode 7 Season 1: Jinx & Ekko try to kill each other Episode 7 Season 2: Jinx & Ekko try to love each other "Two sides of the same coin, inextricably bound"
POTENTIAL SPOILERS ~~~ The parallel symbolism of what Jayce goes through in this episode with what Viktor had to go through to get to where he was in Piltover in S1 is insane. The broken leg, the brace, the crutch, the dirty and dank conditions Viktor grew up in while feeling like his genius was restrained by his circumstance... the literal crawling out of the undercity to reach Viktor's goals and ambitions that he's more than what others think. "I simply believed in myself." ...When Jayce breaches the crevice, the water filtration system is there, that Viktor helped create healthy again for the undercity... Jayce is symbolically going through what Viktor had... to be able to reach him. It was there all along, telling us that Viktor was the one who sent Jayce on this journey... They are literal soulmates, intertwined in every version. MASTERFUL writing it breaks my heart in the best way~
I assume in the timeline where Vi died, Jayce (and possibly Cait) died too because they were both near the explosion at Jayce’s apartment. Jayce nearly died that day anyway so he probably just got thrown a little harder
I have a theory why Jayce didn't join the other two. His alt self in that universe is already since he lost the hextech, was kicked out AND his research lead to the death of a child, so Viktor never stopped him
Jayce in the alternate universe offed himself. He almost did it just from being expelled from the academy, in that timeline his illegal experiment killed a child. Without him Viktor cant invent Hextech by himself. The cycle of the "main" timeline is broken naturally in that universe. And ironically that is what causes it to be broken in the main timeline aswell, as Ekko brings along an anomaly from a universe that was never supposed to have one.
The fact that vi had to die for that alternate, more peaceful/happy ending is crushing. It shows that even though it was 100% unintentional, a lot of the bad things happening are a result of vi’s actions after the failed robbery. I’m saying this as a ride or die vi stan, it’s so painful to think about. It shows that everyone would be alive and happier if she had just died that day.
Not everything would be good sadly. A lot of people would live with the guilt of Vi’s dying but they would have each other and I think in this universe Jayce k*lled himself. In the end, it would be a way better outcome but
@lysfranc8782 true true, I hadn’t thought about that side of it, but it still sucks that without either of them (vi and Jayce), the undercity thrives and everything
This is not true. Silco was shown with an eye that was seemingly not effected by shimmer (which we saw him injecting in his eye the first episode I’m pretty sure) and his eye looked way worse than it did when we saw him this episode. He was already developing shimmer with Singed (in ekko’s actual reality) when the explosion happened that kill Vi in the reality Ekko is in. So no it’s not Vi dying that’s makes this reality.

Wait... I've already watched the entirety of Act 3, and I don't know if I suddenly became colorblind, but from the moment Jinx appeared in Episodes 7 to 9, her hair color was green, and they used a special color/glitch filter throughout Act 3. But in this video, they’re "using" a clean lens, and Jinx's hair is blue as usual. (The hair color of other characters is also different because of that glitch filter, but my main focus is on Jinx.) Maybe those of you who have watched can verify.
Great catch for the Wong KAr Wai style and the laundry and taxes reference ^^. I didn't think of it at first viewing, but now that you mentioned it, that's totally it !
Arcane ending is good, you guys just got clouded from the pacing problems that ypu ignored how they warpped up each of our main casts character arcs. Like the last scene of Viktor and Jayce stabilizing the Arcane is a call back to how they invented hextech, I fkin love it. The feelings of mixed emotions I felt from watching Arcane it was so good
(spoilers about 2x7-8-9) you can wrap an arc in any way you want but the important part is how you do it. First season felt like we are moving along the plot. Seeing things when we suppose to see. But season 2 feels like you are running after the plot. We have to hit some story points, we have to see the outcome of certain events, we have to conclude everything... This feeling makes this season feel less naturally paced. Like for example when ekko returns after the party and we see heimerdinger finished the whole build. It felt rushed. I think the pacing in act 3 is better than the last 2 but also the general feel of this act felt anticlimactic. Just watch the scenes from the last season (jinx lights up vi's torch, ekko vs jinx, im the monster you created scene) or even watch the scene from 2x3 with all that paralleling between jayce/jinx/vi. This last 3 episodes were lacking that kind of epicness. Also It felt like they spent way too much on ekko and way less time in the war. Like they could just sprinkle ekko/jayce on top of the war scenes. It needed a better conclusion than this. Yeah, mel is safe, viktor and jayce worked together again, jinx and vi teamed up, ekko got his time travel thingy, heim was right all along and stuff but it felt tooooooo rushed. Like we had 50 minutes for war, destroying arcane and end the story. Thats a very short time for all of this.
Viktor gave Jayce the arcane stone thingy and did that in almost all lifetimes and parallel universes .basically in a flicker of gaining back his humanity after getting a zdrive to his face. He used it as a chance to travel back in time to get to jayce and inspire him to commit to magic
[spoilers] I actually think this is the most developed storyline of them all, despite the heart of the show being Vi and Jinx. Viktor sending Jayce on a quest to stop himself was a perfect bookend to this two's story. The perfect utopia isn't the answer either. They've been intertwined since Future Viktor gave Young Jayce the rune. The other well developed endings were Ekko's (although he could have been in the council too), and Mel. She has expressed, several times, her doubts if she's a Medarda, a Noxian, yet in the fight she did prove to have Vision, Might, Guile and (Ambessa's addition) Sacrifice. The sisters's ending didn't feel as impactful to me. There's a beauty to repetition, but do it enough times and it stops being poetry and more like you're rehashing old story beats, especially when it feels like it had been resolved. Their story ended in the second act, but they needed to be at the finale since they were the leads. So it felt like they were stretching the drama a bit. Now, it's not exactly bad writing, but compared to other storylines, and the quality of the writing, these were okay. I have a lot more thoughts, but I feel like I've ranted enough. Lol. I still love the show. I might need to process and rewatch this act to see what I missed, and how I'd feel then.
when I saw the fog I was like this looks like Silent Hill then I saw the metal creatures tweaking and immediately reminded me of those hot faceless nurses then so I confirmed to myself that maybe they used Silent Hill as a reference to Jayce stand point lol, so happy John called it as well
26:56 I always thought Ekko said pretend first time cause he assumed they’d already kissed before in this universe, but huh.. interesting, what if they hadn’t 🥺?
Is the implication that since Heimerdinger was sent back to the past things are so much better because he was still in the council and decided to make things better for the underground?
I swear to god, this show plays with my emotions so much it’s bordering on emotional abuse. I absolutely get where Ekko is coming from, as much as I would’ve loved to stay behind in this perfect world, I would never rest or know true peace if I left behind everyone else behind knowing I could truly help save them.
5:37 good question, pretty sure Jayce ceased himself yeah, in the first season he tried that but Viktor interrupted, and probably would explain why Jayce didn't end up there as well?

Meh, Episode 8 & 9 were kind of a letdown for me personally, Act 3 definitely will have mixed feelings, some people will be satisfied and some people like myself not so much.
@@nox5870 It feels like the episodes needed some more time to let the story breathe. For example having 1 hour long episodes instead of 40 minutes + having 1 or 2 episodes more would have fixed it
@@nox5870 that's on you. You need to stop letting expectations ruin media for you, especially when it's as good as Arcane.
Go into things without expectations and you will enjoy it infinitely more, I assure you.
@@blinkachu5275 I had no expectations and still was disappointed.
I still enjoyed Season 2, all I am saying it was not as good as the first season and the ending did not do it for me at all. If you enjoyed it, then good for you. It's all subjective end of the day, there is no right or wrong answer here.
For me, this was the absolute best ep of the whole show. I started crying like halfway through and didn’t stop til it ended
Powder is alive !!!
There is no body of Jinx, there is no death.
The first sentence that Powder says in the series in the first episode is ( one day, I’m gonna ride in one of those things ) and in the end of the series the last thing is the boat flies across the sea, leaving the city.
Jinx vs Powder fly away in the boat that she said that one day she would ride
i also think jinx is alive but iirc that ep 1 quote was already paid off in s1ep4 when she hijacks a blimp and fights ekko
mf this is episode 7. tf you babbling about
we also see her shimmer streak zoom off into one of the vents during the explosion, that’s why cait smiles when she was looking at them afterwards. jinx did what she said she would, left to break the cycle and give her sister a shot at happiness.
You're not ready for the final episode!! I'm a mess. What a brilliant show!
This is how you make alternate realities and multiverse done right, MCU can take note for this in doomsday and secret wars.
We all going to need a bunch of therapy when this show is over
spoilers: the therapist cabal secretly invested in this show to give themselves more business
Love how the English translation to the title of the French song Ekko & Powder were dancing to is called "My Dearest Enemy"
Also super cool how they were dancing at 4 frames per second in that scene - the exact amount of time his Z-drive can rewind,. This show is perfect.
i was begging for an early reaction to this so i could process what id just witnessed and you guys ALWAYS DELIVER
I think when Caitlyn was looking at the diagram layout, she looked at these vents- now hear me out- jinx is full of shimmer right? So she has healing properties. What if. The explosion pushed her into the vents??
u spot on
it probably did, and she might just stumble upon Lux in future spinoff.
Ekko should've stayed in that universe 😭😭
Real
He would have robbed that Ekko of his life though
If he stay , that mean he kill himself in that universe. He not doing that, but he have a change to meet the girl he love are already gone
As others have pointed out... If he stayed he would be robbing the other Ekko of his life... Not to mention that he would be abandoning the firelights in his own world.
Which ''The boy saviour'' would never do.
I mean honestly a spin of in that universe couid allways happen
Finale coming at y'all tomorrow, peeps -- for now, gotta go to bed lol.
"Maybe in other universe.. we can do inventions and discoveries with you." -Ekko
He have a change to meet the girl he love are already gone
No leave the sacred timeliness alone jinx is happy maybe she has a baby and names her Isha.
You can also tell heimerdinger changed a lot during his stay in that timeline where he improved a lot of lives and where he quotes those lines
“How can I forsake another brilliant mind in need again”(referring to Jayce)
“Whats the point of the device like this if you don’t enjoy the time you have”(referring to Victor)
I like how both ep 7 of s1 and s2 showed a moment for both ekko and jinx/powder. In s1 ep 7 they fought while on s2 ep 7 they danced
27:00 I mean, how did you not catch that they were already in a relationship in this timeline? Thats why jinx was so surprise by how he behaved
@MeliDMR93 I'm a man and I clocked it immediately, it's a "them" problem
Such a bittersweet episode.
The misery... What could have been...
So many emotions with this act.
If you look back at season 1 after the explosion on his apartment jayce was going to jump right before viktor came in and stopped him. That’s probably why there is no jayce in the other timeline
Jayce is such a fuckup that Viktor saving him doomed the original timeline
Basically Jayce died in this universe and the possibility that Ambessa would not come and bring her whole army and lackeys to assert dominance over piltover and zaun
@@CaridadKoaklepoor Caitlyn has no friends in this universe
@glimmerstantroop46321 there's a chance that she probably would've made friends with zaunites
The dance between Ekko and Powder was everything!
Heimer isn't dead i think. For yordle to die their spirit form has to die. If only the physical form dies yordles basically respawn in Bundle City
This episode was an extremely strong 10/10
My man gave up his perfect universe to save everyone. Ekko is the best.
she s alive she s alive
EVERYONES IS HAPPY AND JINX AND EKKO GET THEIR ENDING
the first scene as the alt ekko is taking notes you can see his doodle on his notebook, pow pow with a heart, they were already together. also why later on our ekko asked powder to pretend its the first time
Both characters needed to experience the opposite of what they were used to, to become more balanced...
Ekko and Heimer: Bro, life is good...😎
Jayce: *Dark souls boss theme intensifies*
What's a bit bittersweet to me is... Look how much better everything is when Heimerdinger is simply trying to help Zaun for just 3 years. And because Hextech and Jace never happened, he would still be on the council. It really shows how damaging to an entire community blind spots in power can be.
What was your FAVORITE moment from Episode 7???
Yo watching right now
But have to go to work 😩 watched half an episode,watch rest later
ekko and powder kissing 100% like i don't even know how to describe the way i feel right now... ep 9 really fucking broke me
Heimerdinger's Sacrifice 🥲
Ekko and Powder dancing. The French music was epic.
I was getting Miles Morales, and Gwen Stacy vibes when Echo and Powder were dancing together 🤍🩵
At 19:14 when you mentioned time association with Ekko. In the very first episode of this show, Ekko’s first lines are “Give me a few seconds”
In the game he’s known as the boy who broke time, Ekko and time are very closely associated
Ekko & Power were obviously already together in this timeline. That's why he asked if they could pretend its the first time. How did you guys not pick up on that?
wait really? i saw it so many times and didn't realise that.
@@pandycious thx. all of this went over my head.
Ekko Underrated.
Be prepared for ep9 it’s TRAUMATIC
Yes. Yes its sad.
But EPIC
@@gezzed6745 REAL
Traumatic but also GLORIOUS
So much similarity with Devilman Story. And I love it
Ekko, this entire episode realizing that he's in the 'bad end' timeline. Jayce, seeing what the Void is really after
The minute that Ryze, the real main character showed up, there's going to be some planes and universes hopping. It's still technically part of the League of Legends-Verse
Episode 7 Season 1: Jinx & Ekko try to kill each other
Episode 7 Season 2: Jinx & Ekko try to love each other
"Two sides of the same coin, inextricably bound"
ekko is such a strong man to leave this world behind to go back to his own :(
I immediately searched for this after I watched the 7th episode. My most fave ep so far
Act 3... when I catch you Alex Yee & Christian Linke
Making me cry my our blood again
This whole episode is based around the final song we hear in season 1, "What could have been."
POTENTIAL SPOILERS
~~~
The parallel symbolism of what Jayce goes through in this episode with what Viktor had to go through to get to where he was in Piltover in S1 is insane. The broken leg, the brace, the crutch, the dirty and dank conditions Viktor grew up in while feeling like his genius was restrained by his circumstance... the literal crawling out of the undercity to reach Viktor's goals and ambitions that he's more than what others think. "I simply believed in myself." ...When Jayce breaches the crevice, the water filtration system is there, that Viktor helped create healthy again for the undercity... Jayce is symbolically going through what Viktor had... to be able to reach him. It was there all along, telling us that Viktor was the one who sent Jayce on this journey... They are literal soulmates, intertwined in every version. MASTERFUL writing it breaks my heart in the best way~
I assume in the timeline where Vi died, Jayce (and possibly Cait) died too because they were both near the explosion at Jayce’s apartment. Jayce nearly died that day anyway so he probably just got thrown a little harder
Damn I think you may be correct on this! Makes sense to me
The cut to Jayce trucking through the storm is so funny man lmao
I have a theory why Jayce didn't join the other two. His alt self in that universe is already since he lost the hextech, was kicked out AND his research lead to the death of a child, so Viktor never stopped him
Ekko had to give up heaven and Jayce had to go through hell, wonderful writing
The King & Queen of Zaun! Exquisite 👑
2:57 Watch Bridging the Rift if you haven’t, it kinda sheds light on this actually
Jayce in the alternate universe offed himself. He almost did it just from being expelled from the academy, in that timeline his illegal experiment killed a child. Without him Viktor cant invent Hextech by himself.
The cycle of the "main" timeline is broken naturally in that universe. And ironically that is what causes it to be broken in the main timeline aswell, as Ekko brings along an anomaly from a universe that was never supposed to have one.
ekko is the boy who shattered time
The Jinx x Ekko relationship this episode was beautiful. What could've been...
The fact that vi had to die for that alternate, more peaceful/happy ending is crushing. It shows that even though it was 100% unintentional, a lot of the bad things happening are a result of vi’s actions after the failed robbery. I’m saying this as a ride or die vi stan, it’s so painful to think about. It shows that everyone would be alive and happier if she had just died that day.
Not everything would be good sadly. A lot of people would live with the guilt of Vi’s dying but they would have each other and I think in this universe Jayce k*lled himself. In the end, it would be a way better outcome but
@lysfranc8782 true true, I hadn’t thought about that side of it, but it still sucks that without either of them (vi and Jayce), the undercity thrives and everything
This is not true. Silco was shown with an eye that was seemingly not effected by shimmer (which we saw him injecting in his eye the first episode I’m pretty sure) and his eye looked way worse than it did when we saw him this episode. He was already developing shimmer with Singed (in ekko’s actual reality) when the explosion happened that kill Vi in the reality Ekko is in. So no it’s not Vi dying that’s makes this reality.
Just finished Arcane 3 hours ago, and decided to watch this after relaxing and sleeping, and you just made my day. THANK YOU for this reaction.🎉❤
-Season 2 Episode 7 Spin the Wheel Lyrics (Vocals by Mick Wingert/AKA the voice of Heimerdinger):
[Verse 1]
Go spin the wheel and see where it lands
Join in the circus, stay for a dance, and
Right when the war quiets down, ya strike up the band
Keep marching on, my friends
And do what you can
[Verse 2]
Wait 'til your brothers and your sisters, see where you been
And if you loved the journey more than the end, go ahead
Just turn that hourglass around and count to ten
This ain't goodbye no more
Nah, it just began
[Bridge]
March on, my friends
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-ooh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-ooh
[Verse 3]
Go and make some mistakes, you live and you learn
And where the chips fall, it's not your concern, nah
Like the wind gonna breeze, the fires'll burn
Just let the gears, my friend
Oh, just let the gears, my friend
Let 'em turn
🧡 💜
Vi would sacrifice herself in a heartbeat, if she would have known that this would have been the outcome of it
And i hate it!!!
Wait... I've already watched the entirety of Act 3, and I don't know if I suddenly became colorblind, but from the moment Jinx appeared in Episodes 7 to 9, her hair color was green, and they used a special color/glitch filter throughout Act 3.
But in this video, they’re "using" a clean lens, and Jinx's hair is blue as usual.
(The hair color of other characters is also different because of that glitch filter, but my main focus is on Jinx.)
Maybe those of you who have watched can verify.
Great catch for the Wong KAr Wai style and the laundry and taxes reference ^^.
I didn't think of it at first viewing, but now that you mentioned it, that's totally it !
The Z-Drive only works for him because he's the one pulling it lol, plus it is Ekko's ultimate ability in game
Arcane ending is good, you guys just got clouded from the pacing problems that ypu ignored how they warpped up each of our main casts character arcs. Like the last scene of Viktor and Jayce stabilizing the Arcane is a call back to how they invented hextech, I fkin love it. The feelings of mixed emotions I felt from watching Arcane it was so good
(spoilers about 2x7-8-9) you can wrap an arc in any way you want but the important part is how you do it. First season felt like we are moving along the plot. Seeing things when we suppose to see. But season 2 feels like you are running after the plot. We have to hit some story points, we have to see the outcome of certain events, we have to conclude everything... This feeling makes this season feel less naturally paced. Like for example when ekko returns after the party and we see heimerdinger finished the whole build. It felt rushed. I think the pacing in act 3 is better than the last 2 but also the general feel of this act felt anticlimactic. Just watch the scenes from the last season (jinx lights up vi's torch, ekko vs jinx, im the monster you created scene) or even watch the scene from 2x3 with all that paralleling between jayce/jinx/vi. This last 3 episodes were lacking that kind of epicness. Also It felt like they spent way too much on ekko and way less time in the war. Like they could just sprinkle ekko/jayce on top of the war scenes. It needed a better conclusion than this. Yeah, mel is safe, viktor and jayce worked together again, jinx and vi teamed up, ekko got his time travel thingy, heim was right all along and stuff but it felt tooooooo rushed. Like we had 50 minutes for war, destroying arcane and end the story. Thats a very short time for all of this.
@@shimasanjiko4241pacing is a problem but I still like it
Viktor gave Jayce the arcane stone thingy and did that in almost all lifetimes and parallel universes .basically in a flicker of gaining back his humanity after getting a zdrive to his face. He used it as a chance to travel back in time to get to jayce and inspire him to commit to magic
[spoilers] I actually think this is the most developed storyline of them all, despite the heart of the show being Vi and Jinx.
Viktor sending Jayce on a quest to stop himself was a perfect bookend to this two's story. The perfect utopia isn't the answer either. They've been intertwined since Future Viktor gave Young Jayce the rune.
The other well developed endings were Ekko's (although he could have been in the council too), and Mel. She has expressed, several times, her doubts if she's a Medarda, a Noxian, yet in the fight she did prove to have Vision, Might, Guile and (Ambessa's addition) Sacrifice.
The sisters's ending didn't feel as impactful to me. There's a beauty to repetition, but do it enough times and it stops being poetry and more like you're rehashing old story beats, especially when it feels like it had been resolved. Their story ended in the second act, but they needed to be at the finale since they were the leads. So it felt like they were stretching the drama a bit. Now, it's not exactly bad writing, but compared to other storylines, and the quality of the writing, these were okay.
I have a lot more thoughts, but I feel like I've ranted enough. Lol. I still love the show. I might need to process and rewatch this act to see what I missed, and how I'd feel then.
when I saw the fog I was like this looks like Silent Hill then I saw the metal creatures tweaking and immediately reminded me of those hot faceless nurses then so I confirmed to myself that maybe they used Silent Hill as a reference to Jayce stand point lol, so happy John called it as well
11:05 My heart can’t take it when little Powder cries 🥺😭
Never thought I needed Ekko and Powder together until now
22:17 the EEAAO reference was so on point
Hi guys and thanks for the shoutout! Here’s a note - MICHE (magical imaginations caused Hextech energy!) Love you guys-be blessed
This was hearth warming episode after all the depression (ignore heimerdinger ) I'll deal with that later
Not Ekko and Heimerdinger getting transported to heaven while Jayce gets thrown straight to hell lol
Best episode of the series IMO
Yes this is the sacred timeline if they come back to it echo and hjinx have a baby named Isham and it's a slice if love thing no one is aloud to die
I was tearing up throughout this whole episode. Hopefully I can hold it together better for a reaction video.
26:56 I always thought Ekko said pretend first time cause he assumed they’d already kissed before in this universe, but huh.. interesting, what if they hadn’t 🥺?
Is the implication that since Heimerdinger was sent back to the past things are so much better because he was still in the council and decided to make things better for the underground?
I swear to god, this show plays with my emotions so much it’s bordering on emotional abuse. I absolutely get where Ekko is coming from, as much as I would’ve loved to stay behind in this perfect world, I would never rest or know true peace if I left behind everyone else behind knowing I could truly help save them.
in an alternate world, ekko and powder are together! man I was crying the whole time :(
Ekko gets sent to a dating sim and Jayce is speedrunning rust + dark souls
5:37 good question, pretty sure Jayce ceased himself yeah, in the first season he tried that but Viktor interrupted, and probably would explain why Jayce didn't end up there as well?
Yordles can't technically die, so don't worry about the Prof.
This episode broke me, knowing that Ekko cant have that version of Powder is just so sad man. Brilliant episode, we got the lore for the time rewind
I got to watch the finale 3 at the Shrine in LA and wow seeing this show on a massive screen was an incredible experience
Finally someone that sees the mylo and claggor look!
Ekko and Heimer being sent to the happy timeline, meanwhile Jayce is alone in the backrooms lmao
Not fully happy timeline unfortunately...
