    I've been able to multitasking for a long time, maybe cause concussions as child. But after my latest concussion couple years ago I kind of been like i have to multitask or I get bored. I can write comment here same as I watch video and TV at same. And I still know what video said and happend in tv show and write on my second language. No wonder I get fatigued.
    Thanks, now I know where to aim to get better.

    Thanks for this video! Question, the patient didn't have any bloodflow issues you mention. How did you rule that out? Would be great if I could test this for myself. Thanks!

      You generally need a trained clinician to walk you through this using a treadmill! check out completeconcussions.com/find-a-clinic/ to find a clinic location

    What kind of rehab is there for neurofatigue? I tried doing the google on it but it mainly turned up substance rehab results 👀

    Thank you for the info!!
    I experience extreme neuro fatigue when being asked questions and engaging in conversations; the longer the conversation, the more wiped out I am .. what could this be related to? Thank you!!

    Since 2017 I've been having difficulty while reading, also a lot of neck pain. MRI results are just perfect. Doctors say my brain is perfect. But since 2017 I've had vision problems and memory problems as well.
    PS: I did not have any sort of brain injury but a mild neck injury(just a little).

      A perfect example why patients with concussion need to look away from the brain. These types of neck issues are also not visible on imaging - they are 'functional' injuries - i.e., they change the way the muscles and joints of the neck function which leads to pain. MRI is a "structural" imaging technique so it only looks at the structure...but not how things are working. Find a chiropractor

    Hi. Thanks for all of the videos. How would you explain that I couldn’t remember a street I lived next to for ten years. Yes, it was a while ago but I could remember all of the other streets. I had to look on a map. Other things like not remembering my boss’ last name. Had to look it up.

      We all get forgetful from time to time. I sometimes forget the names of patients that I've had forever and I have to look on their chart. Your brain is constantly pushing old stuff out to make room for the new. Concussion patients also tend to confuse "forgetfulness" with "memory impairment" - be careful of this line of thinking as it can make you feel as though there's something wrong with you but we all go to the grocery store and forget to get an item (it's why we make lists). I can remember (some) of the phone numbers of my childhood friends...but I can't remember my wife's number. Why? Because times are different now. It's on my phone. It's not something that I routinely have to remember, so I don't. My brain makes room for other things. If you are concerned that you have a true cognitive impairment...book in to see a neuropsychologist. Hope this helps!

    Thanks for this episode. Question-- if a patient experiences neurofatigue should he/she sleep? Or is it better to stay awake?

    • @CompleteConcussions
      @CompleteConcussions  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends. Sleep is good. Sleeping during the day however throws off your schedule and can put you in a difficult position if you're having difficulty sleeping at night. Try to maintain a regular schedule
