I raced right to Satisfied, not only because it's among my favorite compositions,, but because the drums are right up there with Renee Goldsberry in making is soar. Awesome.
Mad skills. Mad meter. Herculean commitment learning all that detail by ear. That's super impressive, Matt. You're right about the snare drums. I had a peek in the Chicago pit and wow... there are a lot of snare drums in what I could see of the setup.

the grooves are so tightly crafted in pocket but at the same the kick patterns are advanced like in Schuyler Sisters- its not the usual 2-bar pattern alternating.. im still trying to learn the songs on drums. It’s good to see a video of a whole act from the sound track

Most of the main grooves were actually composed entirely by Lin, despite him nit even playing drums
