Last Long Run Before Race Day

- Hi Friends!
In this video I take you along for my last long run before my 25 mile race this upcoming weekend. Ideally, we would have done this a week ago or earlier in the training block, but due to international travel, this was what we had to work with.
We had originally intended to do a full course preview for the race. However, lots of things changed so we had to be adaptable, which ultimately worked out for the best and helped us see some of the changes we could make to be better prepared for next weekend.
Just a fun lil video depicting that you shouldn't take yourself or any race too seriously. I hope you enjoy the video and find some sort of inspiration to get out and find some trail today.
As per usual, lots of fun and exciting things coming in the near future so please like and subscribe so you don't miss any adventures :)
Thank you so much watching!

Apple sauce and rice as energy gel.
Aquaphor on toes.
Marshmallows for digestive health.
Good tips. Thanks!
His comments on the hill was hilarious but accurate 😂😂😂
Hope you stick with this channel! You're making really good content, and seem to really enjoy it! good luck on your race!
thank you so much! I'm definitely having fun with the channel and the plan is to keep it going- I'm so glad you enjoy it and thank you for the good race vibes! cheers!
This is one of those gems of a small channel TH-cam throws at you every now and then. I hope you stick with it, subbed!
I like the idea of mimicking race day.... clothes, fuel, etc. Gonna try that for sure.
I just found your channel! I love it! Making me want to move to Colorado. Running those mountains every week is a dream!!
You met your goal and then some. You two made great choices in preparation for your race! I'm so proud of both of you!❤
22mi leading up to a 25mi race is more than plenty (with solid moving pace esp with stomach troubles), you’ll crush it. might as well kick it up to 50k 😎
Enjoyed the vibe of the vlog. Keep enjoying what you do and it’ll never be a failure. Good luck for future events 👌
glad to see someone else using a form roller!
Хорошо ))))
Great video, good luck with your race!
Enjoyed ur video. Looks
Like u run some interesting places 😊
Aquaphor on the toes! I’m taking notes 📝
Hey I'm one of Janji's founders. So cool to see you rocking our sun hoodie. I thought it looked familiar! Love your content, please keep it up.
Oh my goodness hello! We absolutely love janji and everything you guys stand for. I literally just bought my second sun hoodie because they are such a great shirt. Thank you so much for the support and positivity ❤️
Found your channel by chance and loving the content you put out here. Cheers from Berlin Germany 🇩🇪
New to the channel here, so you might have heard/thought about this; yhe amount of stuff to bring on a long run. I have run a few ultras, running trail for about 7 ears and the amount of food and gear I bring constantly become less. We can actually go long on a handfull of food and a bottle of electrolytes. Good luck with your running.
Super vid, love the genuine personality
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoy 😊
took a break from cocadona livestream, and your video showed up on youtube main page. Once I saw the espresso machine....subscribed! Hope you have an espresso machine review/trail shoe review combo video. Good run. Montezuma ruled mexico not ecuador.
For me it was the gorgeous coffee mug! 😂😂
Just found your channel. Great stuff! It surprises me that gators (ankle covers that keep crap out of your shoes) hasn't crossed over more from hikers to trail runners. There's a brand called Dirty Girl Gators that I love. Those tacos looked INCREDIBLE! I hope your boyfriend kicks the GI issues, and thanks for the tip about marshmallows! Good luck next weekend!
Fellow FoCo runner here, good luck at the QuadRock!
Nice run mountain high! What kind of hydration vest is that? Are those easier to use than the bowel hydration vest with the water in the pouch? And tube
I love the cap. I can't find that model anywhere, could you share a link if you have one please 🙂
You’re a beast & That hat is awesome! I Looked on the website but can’t find any with the brand lettering on the bottom side of the brim like yours? Do you know the which exact hat that is? Liked & subbed
Nice commentary.... How did the race go.... ? I'm not seeing a results post . I'm training for a 50 mile trail run near Duluth MN. Discuss more your pace when you run/train and why.... Shorter runs faster longer runs slower..... which is what I do. I've been seeing a lot of heart rate training.... do you pay attention to that? Do you stretch much? I'm old and trying to adapt my body to longer runs. Up to 4 hours, but I need 3 days to recover.... :-) keep it up.... you are amazing!! btw... I love the Front Range....lived in the Springs for 6 years.... Did the Incline once a week for 4 years or so... puff puff
Love your long sleeve with a hood! What kind is it? Thank you :)
Your homemade gels sound pretty awesome! Sorry the run didn't go to plan, but best of luck on your race! 22+ miles is still a good day. What race are you running (or did you run?)?
Thank you! The gels are good- working on perfecting the recipe and maybe will share it once we get the recipe down?
But yes, QuadRock! Just the 25mi though. How did you like the 50? That would be one heck of a day!!
@@MountainHighLife It was an awesome race! The last few miles were particularly hard, but I would totally do it again. Good luck this Saturday! I'm actually thinking of doing a training run on the mountain so maybe I'll see some of the runners out there.
Good Luck in your race, looking forward to hearing how it went, but one thing you do not need to run your race distance before you race, 20 to 22 miles would be more than enough for your last long run
I need a sun hoody now.
4:27 lol sometimes that's the vibe
좋은 영상 감사합니다
Is beautiful. Es muy bella.
Sounds like you might be running Quadrock 25... I ran the 50 last year and loved it! I've got a video on my channel from that race if you want to check that out 😊
Good luck next weekend!! 🎉😊
Thank you 💖
Is that Lory? I used to run up there. :)
What brand of sunglasses are you wearing?
mary louise parker caught the trail running itch it seems
12:44✌
New subbie. Just wanted to tell you that I really really love your channel.
I would subscribe but you’re at 666 subscribers and idk if I want to ruin that
Wow! She's gained 97 subs in 5 hours 😄. Cocodona viewers must be getting as a suggested video.
