I have one of these myself! It's a great design. It reminds me of my grail knife that I've been chasing for years..the Blackjack Anaconda 2. I have a Shining Mountain Bowie, but want that damn Blackjack in a bad way!!! lol. I have the Anaconda 1, but can't get my hands on the 2. Pistol Pete did a video on this bowie where he pounded on it and it held up well, so I guess it's a decent performer. Not as good as the A2 that the BRK is made of, but it's also 300 bucks less🤣
I had the Anaconda 2 . Due to financial problems I had to sell off most of my collection ( about 12/13 years ago ). Things got better eventually and I’ve been trying to locate those precious knives again . I got most of them back with the exception of 2 or 3 . I know they’re out there somewhere. I’ll never give up the hunt . And congratulations on that Shiny Mountain!!!!!

If you're interested. Kinda related to movie props. The red handled machete in the walking dead is a harbor freight machete with the handle wrapped in red grip tape. Wrapped mine in red sports wrap when I found out. Super cheap machete.

Love this one, handsome looking piece. Can't believe the bang for the buck. Thing really bit into that branch for those choppy chops. I've been thinking about this one since Pistol Pete showed it. We gotta get him to 500 subs, so he can give one away. I think he's less than 50 away now, LESDOITPEOPLE! I agree and dislike that people buy up all the good stuff, then sell it at a higher price. It happens all over the place and is probably the main means of income for some. It's easier to swallow when it's a big company or conglomerate, it's harder when it's people in the community. Pistol Pete took his apart and showed the tang its full tang I'm going to make a brass guard and put crown stag on mine if the edge holds up I'm gonna do some testing first . If it does I'm gonna customize it why not .

The handle was lose and could have been made better with real stalk pins I ended up using screws to secure the handle better it’s perfect now great regardless!!! Willing to let it ride
So unfortunate about the handle … I wonder if it was a return that they sent you …. But regardless- I’m so happy to hear that you made it your own now . I still have to buy another one one of these days … I want to replace the handle with stag . Nice project knife 🙏
@@tubes5150 it could have been quite possibly a return. I don’t know, but one of the pins came out with very little effort but the screws work fine, and I actually like the look .. a Stag handle would be very cool look forward to see how that comes out .

@@tubes5150 I already have one coming from SMKW tomorrow. I couldn't help myself. I don't have a genuine stainless steel Bowie. The majority of my knives are carbon steel, including the SZCO Bowie I just cleaned up and modified yesterday. Even though 3Cr13 is about the cheapest stainless there is, people swear by the heat treatment on this knife. They say it doesn't chip or roll. What I'm hoping is that the SZCO Bowie will fit in the Black Mule sheath, because the SZCO sheath is pretty bad. I already tried fitting the SZCO into my Ontario SP10 Marine Raider Bowie sheath. The blade is just a bit too wide.

I located my Black Mule Bowie ( I forgot I had put it in with all my Aldo Raine knives ). I checked the sheath . There is definitely a plastic insert in there . Feels thin …. But I think it does the trick . Really love this knife . Can’t believe they are still available. Let me know what you think once it arrives …..
@@tubes5150 When I get the RR Black Mule Bowie, I'll check to see if the SZCO carbon steel (or stainless steel) Bowie fits the Black Mule sheath. That would be a nice option for actually carrying the SZCO Bowie.
In a life or death situation, your all out of amo, you had to try to stab a black bear in the head. Would u trust this thing? I've heard of a guy defeating a bear with a 5 inch knife, so it's not that unrealistic lol
Man it's only 25$ I don't believe... Make a knife on similar specs maybe 60-70$ or little more. Trust me I'm a knife maker and materials and process cost money. Joker uses Stag handle and I’m torn between a couple .

Good to see ya Cowboy. That's a pretty cool knife for twenty five bucks Brother. Speaking of knives, I just picked up a Strider folder for twenty bucks out the door at my local pawn shop. Boss heat treat, made in the good ol USA. It's used. Whoever had it must have only used very gently. All I know is it's just been pocket carried. Been wanting one forever. Pistol Pete took his apart and showed the tang its full tang I'm going to make a brass guard and put crown stag on mine if the edge holds up I'm gonna do some testing first . If it does I'm gonna customize it why not .

The handle was lose and could have been made better with real stalk pins I ended up using screws to secure the handle better it’s perfect now great regardless!!! Willing to let it ride

@@tubes5150 it could have been quite possibly a return. I don’t know, but one of the pins came out with very little effort but the screws work fine, and I actually like the look .. a Stag handle would be very cool look forward to see how that comes out .

@@tubes5150 I already have one coming from SMKW tomorrow. I couldn't help myself. I don't have a genuine stainless steel Bowie. The majority of my knives are carbon steel, including the SZCO Bowie I just cleaned up and modified yesterday. Even though 3Cr13 is about the cheapest stainless there is, people swear by the heat treatment on this knife. They say it doesn't chip or roll. What I'm hoping is that the SZCO Bowie will fit in the Black Mule sheath, because the SZCO sheath is pretty bad. I already tried fitting the SZCO into my Ontario SP10 Marine Raider Bowie sheath. The blade is just a bit too wide.

I located my Black Mule Bowie ( I forgot I had put it in with all my Aldo Raine knives ).
I checked the sheath .
There is definitely a plastic insert in there .
Feels thin ….
But I think it does the trick .
Really love this knife .
Can’t believe they are still available.

@@tubes5150 When I get the RR Black Mule Bowie, I'll check to see if the SZCO carbon steel (or stainless steel) Bowie fits the Black Mule sheath. That would be a nice option for actually carrying the SZCO Bowie.
In a life or death situation, your all out of amo, you had to try to stab a black bear in the head. Would u trust this thing? I've heard of a guy defeating a bear with a 5 inch knife, so it's not that unrealistic lol
