sub'd, a wealth of info here..In process of stringing a ME, girder/trestle/girder in one long bridge, this is great idea for abutments. Want to try those peel and stick bricks, but have noticed on other layouts how this very stuff have come apart with the default glue..cant beat good ole wood glue and ya cant have enuf clamps!.....cheerz!
Looks good, Tom! I have two abutments and a pier made of 1x4 lumber on my layout. I have two tracks running side by side over a Warren truss bridge ( made by joining two Atlas kits together on a scratchbuilt frame) and then each track crosses a separate deck bridge with a truss frame under the bridge. I didn't cover them with stone work, I just painted them to look like concrete. The bridges cross a river. Gonna gave to pour that water one'a these days...........
@@TomsTrainsandThings I was using 2x4 piers and needed to get them to look more real. This was perfect. I ordered some of these. I need to get my bridges set so I can get my track in place.
Love how you make the piers. Have a couple to make for my layout. Thanks for the advice.
Glad you like them!
I didn’t think about using wood! Great video!!
Glad it was helpful!

Good to know I'm not the only one that does that. What do you plan on using for your water?
@@TomsTrainsandThings I have some EnviroTex Lite 2 part epoxy I'm going to use.
Do it outside
I would, but the area to be poured is already part of the benchwork. I'll just have to do it when the wife isn't home!
Thank you! This is exactly what I was wanting to do.
Glad I could help!

Great job. Those abutments look really good. Too bad the sticky back didn’t stay sticky. Be thankful you didn’t have to lick it and stick it! -Mark
Thanks Mark. What ever happened to lick it and stick it; stamps, envelopes, flag poles. I miss that stuff.
???? You're all over the place
