Hostel stay is good for your pocket. But one thing I don't like in hostel stay is, it's cluttered with peoples everywhere. Too much of noise, hygienic issue, privacy issue and so much.
Whoopers Bootique is a very nice place to stay. I am from Bangladesh I stayed there. But unfortunately in my solo trip I could not make any friends. After seeing your I wish I could be there on time!

i m 69 solo travlr .i often stay in hostel .one cracking sound always disterb me that loosen screw of beds..otherwise i met diff kind of ppl who made me laugh lot

The hostel you stayed in Goa looks very good. The problem with me is that I am hesitant about staying in hostels, maybe it's a fixation in my mind.
