This is not a complex issue.The generation establishment can be called out by the simple expedient of the nation and the government insisting that all renewable generation be used before the non renewable generation is applied to the national network. The only basis on which the non renewable generators can object to this approach is that they wish to protect market share, read profits, and they are best placed to begin the shift to renewable energy themselves. There will be amongst their hierachy this awareness, and the reluctance to pursue such a course can only be seen as sinister. I am not a greenie zealot but someone who has worked almost all my life in all three fields of the electricity industry, generation, distribution and utilisation, both operating and maintaining.
