I would like to mention that a "PARRY" is actually a defensive deflection or redirection of an attack (when the hands are generall opened in front of your face) and what you're showing here is merely a staggering block - could suggest that when an attack is parried, the attacker animation should display as a striking miss (shiiing... FX) while the defensive player animation shows as a redirect (with the hands open accompanied by FX explosion) and leaving the opponent open for counterattack... SFIII made sense because the animation showed the hands open for redirect... just an FYI. Fantastic game by the way... love the Air Jordans on background character too ! Respect
bro that is a parry, by your logic and explanation of how SF3 did it, then this is correct, look at his pose in this video, its literally like ken, ryu, akuma, and seans pose
@@BigBlack20 actually it isn't the same.... his fist is closed in the animation key frame / pose shown in the game demo - and was only offering some additional suggestions to improve the visuals to set it apart from SFIII and other games it is clearly inspired by... but it's OK to completely disagree on the definition of a parry. thanks! enjoy - th-cam.com/video/bavXVMtjsME/w-d-xo.html
@@drumatic-ej2sh the video is a good explanation. But this is still a parry my dude. I myself have taken MMA i assure you.....it's a parry. It's just one of those situations where you're not wrong and neither is the other person
I just watched this on .25x speed and holy shit, the animation still looks amazing, you guys are actually incredible
you’re amazing for saying that :)
This on Unity? Nice game either way. I too, am striving to make a fighting game
