I’ve just added Nightingale to my cart!! Ive been wanting to start her for a while so this gave me the push I needed. So exciting. Need to decide on a fabric now 😊
I’m working on Enchanted Mermaid now for the fair this summer and I have Ashley’s Roses waiting in the wings! I have so many regular wips I work on almost weekly too so that’s fun! I love our lady of the flag in the Green conversion and one day if I ever have one she’ll be done in that color on the Constitution fabric! What oh yes it’s true one day maybe! 😂 y’all have a blast and see ya in May if not before!😊😊
👗I remember going into cross stitch stores with my mom and always falling in love with whatever Mira’s they had on display. I started stitching my first back in August. Come to find out, although the Mira’s were never my mom’s preferred style of stitching (she’s a Shepherd’s Bush devotee) she had been picking up patterns for years in hopes that she would get around to them. She never did, but gifted me all those patterns recently. I’m hoping to finish my first Mira, Enchanted Mermaid by the end of Mira May and already have a pretty good start on Garden Prelude that should hopefully be done by July to hang in my office. Garden Prelude is a violinist named Elizabeth, my name is Elizabeth and I work at a Symphony Orchestra, so it seemed fitting.
It was lovely seeing your wips. I started many Mira's after being influenced by floostube 🤪 but have started to become more monogamous again. I'm almost finished with Enchanted Mermaid 🧜♀️ . I've been wanting to start Lady of the Flag for a while so maybe I will also start that in May 👗
I have friends who want to stitch Lady of the Flag, but my Mira Unicorn is Mother's Arms. I'm in LOVE with that one, but it's way beyond my budget. :P Not that I don't have feelers out and ebay watches for it, hahaha! 👗
Loved the video ladies! Thank you for the mention 💜 once you start one you soon get over the fear and start them all 🤣🤣 cannot wait to see your mira may starts xx
Well, I had to pull out my non stitched Mira’s…more than I though I had. I think I will start Princess Elianna since my son’s lady’s name is Iliana…too close, gotta do it. A shuffle of the WIPs is in order. 🧜♀️
Hi! Just found your channel and what drew me in was the Mirabilia in the subject line. Good luck on your Mirabilia May stitching! You have some beautiful fabrics! Happy stitching Lori at Once Upon a Stitch
🧚♀️🧜♀️ I can't wait to see your progress as you stitch all of this Nora greatness! I have stitched one Mira and 3 Noras. Just started stitching them last fall. I am currently working on Winter White Santa. Thanks for sharing your stitching with us!
I've been compelled to start my very first Mirabilia for May after watching you lovely ladies talk about it ❤ I ordered the Sun Goddess and all the called for and will hope it's all here by May 1st 👗👗
Love Mirabilias! Well…more like obsessed with them 😅 I’ve stitched most of the projects that you show 😅 Love watching stitchers sharing wips, projects and plans with Nora’s designs. The beading part is something that I enjoy very much.Thank you for the video ☺️
While watching I was stitching on Lady of the Flag for Mira Monday. My goal is to finish her in 2024. I can't wait to see your Mira May starts. I have a few kitted I might start. Just finished Day Nymph so I need to start Night Nymph. Plus I have the South Seas Mermaid kit to start. May is going to be so fun. Thank you for the fun and informative videos. Happy Stitching.
I can appreciate how much work goes into these. Not sure if I'd ever want to do a mira maybe like you say because they all have this "perfect" look to them that turns me off a bit. They are so beautiful still and I'm glad that there are fancy ladies! I don't want to be too negative because there are people who can look like that. Just not everyone. And that's not bad for the ones who can. Maybe it just means it's not my style. Although I'm sure if I looked at all of them I'd find one I'd like.
Cathedral Woods and Stargazer were both ones that mildly intrigued me, but I really thought I wasn't into Mirabilia. Your enthusiasm made me took another look and I found it. I found The Pattern that changed my mind. The Pattern that I'm now obsessed with and want to make immediately: Ophelia.
Love both your plans for Miramaynia! For May I've been doing Monogomaynia AND Miramaynia at the same time, stitching on Villa Mirabilia. 2024 will be my third year doing it, and I'm aiming to get Villa finished this year. Hoping May will get me close to a finish. It's easy to think it's "doable" but then when you look at the chart and see how many colour changes there are on a specific section, you realise it won't be as fast as you hoped! IF I do finish Villa in May, I'll then start working on Red Skies at Night. I do recommend getting the beads sooner rather than later, as time passes, some of these beads become oop (as I've discovered with trying to kit up Enchanted Mermaid right now.)
My May stitching plans are filling up fast, but I am definitely in for some Mira May stitching! I have Mermaid of Atlantis as a current WIP and I have Cathedral Woods Goddess to start. I had started Adia the Garden Fairy all the way back in 2000, and got about half of her done before I quit stitching for 20 years. I finally finished her back in 2021 and I love her to bits! I’m excited to see y’all’s progress on all of your Miras! 👗
OMG for my 50th I decided I am starting TigerLily. A long time ago (TM) I finished Waiting for Ships and Mermaid of the Pearl when they first came out, but during my divorce they "went missing" (my ex either tossed them or sold them or gave them away to someone) so now I will need to refind and restitch those ones... I want to start Cathedral Woods as a start for MiraMay... but that really depends on finding a fabric at Stitch North. I love Stargazer.... I did the one with the big moon and gave it to my god mother (and her granddaughter inherited it when she passed on)... I need more Miras LOL
So excited to see Alice do a Mira as a monogamous stitcher, I think you will smash your goal as you already love this pattern so much. I don't have any Mira's or Nora Corbets yet but maybe one day I'll do a fancy lady 👗 Do you know of anyone who does colour conversions for the skin?
❤ loved this extra, so much to share about Mirabilia. I never thought I would jump on that wagon but I want to start one on May 1st with you guys. Hopefully it will be here soon. I first intended to start Lilly of the woods, but I felt too intimidated so I ordered the Petal fairy and will do this one as my first Mira for Mira May ❤ 👗 👗 Thank you for this fun video
I just laughed out loud about you moving projects around to their most thematically perfect project bag! I had Spring Quaker in a project bag as a kit for like a year before I finally took it out and gave the bag to an active WIP, but now that I've started Spring Quaker, I have an issue with it not being in that perfect bag. I haven't switched them around yet, but I already decided I was going to. 🤪
👗 I will probably pull out my Sleeping Princess to stitch with you in May… but who knows… everytime I’m “supposed” to stitch on something it’s the one I want the least to do with. 🤣
💃🏿💃🏾💃🏽💃🏻💃🏼. I will enjoy your watching your progress. Great talk from Stephanie about being immersed in the “world” of her projects. As a monogamous full coverage stitcher, I am immersed in a world daily for 5 months to a year. I know you like to switch up your projects, but I could understand the idea of immersion for sure. Allison, your Lady of the Flag will be such a treasure for you and your Husband ⭐️!
👗 I’ve got two Miras on the go - Siren and the Shipwreck and Gypsy Queen. I’ll be starting two others shortly for my daughters who each picked the ones they love best from my stash. My 9 year-old daughter chose Titania Queen of the Fairies and my 13 year-old chose Lady Alexandra. I’m looking forward to starting both and I’m soooo excited to see your progress on your Miras. Never in a million years did I think I would be a Mira stitcher when I got back in to cross stitch a few years ago, and well, here I am! I blame the Hyyge Stitcher and Kitschy WIPS ! 😁
I also resisted Miras/Noras for a long time, just admiring them but not feeling a need to stitch one. I finally decided to do one (Snow Queen) and then of course the addiction started! 😂 I did Mira May last year and focused on two WIPs and was able to finish Cathedral Woods Goddess and Andromeda. Cathedral Woods Goddess is probably the sparkliest Mira I’ve ever seen. I will be doing Mira May again this year and I have FIVE kitted up for new starts. Insane? Maybe, but I will be having a blast!
These are wonderful plans and WIPs! Good luck to Allison with Lady of the Flag, she can totally stitch her and finish this year! I'm currently finishing my first Mira and am absolutely in love 💜 Will definitely stitch more 💃
@@Allisonatthemoment I stitched her some 20 years ago but I do remember having to change some symbols in the pattern. I remember there was a bead symbol in the flag that made no sense. And on my pattern, the backstitch for the rose stems was not listed. There"s a few others but I think you'll see them as you go along. Enjoy her though because she is gorgeous! I did mine on a 28ct summer sky hand dyed fabric because I wanted her to look like she was floating in the sky and she turned out beautiful.
Now you inspired to get two more Nora Corbett’s. I’ve done one of the queens and she is at the framers now. Like your sister I only do one project at a time till I get it finished otherwise nothing would get done. I’ve been stitching for 41 years.
👗👗 I'm totally in and would love to join you! I will be starting my first Mira's Lady of the Flag (still need to decide on linen and welcome suggestions) and Queen of Freedom (need to check linen I have to see if large enough). I've never beaded before either. By the way, I thought for sure that my two charts would be on your most expensive list, but thankfully, I wasn't 😂. Love your videos!
wOw! 👍 great video! I’ve had the garden fairy kitted up for several years and this would be a great time to jump in and stitch her with friends!!! I don’t know how to hashtag to participate. But I’m 😂excited to see your progress on the Mira projects! 💃👗
Really enjoyed this video! I have the Aphrodite mermaid all kitted up! Maybe if I get a project or two finished I will join you ladies! Thanks for sharing!
I have a couple of Mira’s I want to start, I just don’t know how to start them. I bought a couple of the ladies and one of the older Christmas trees and one of the Santa’s too… I haven’t ever stitched anything like them, so I am scared I am going to screw them up. 😅so I haven’t started any of them.
I showed my daughter a fancy lady for the first time today and I could tell she loved it. She has only been stitching five months but maybe in 2025 she will be ready to be introduced to a smaller Nora and then we will see where she goes. Thank you for the video…can’t wait to watch Allison’s stitching.
I don’t know how old your daughter is, but I was stitching similar projects and dimensions when I was in middle school. I know people who have started on Mira’s. It’s just stitching-same x’s no matter what you are making. She’ll be fine.
Nice to see your plans, ladies. Good luck with Mira May & with getting Lady of the Flag done for your anniversary too! Very exciting. I like looking at other people stitching Miras but have no desire to stitch one so I'll live vicariously through you! 👗
💃Such exciting plans!! Allison definitely join in on #firstmirasal! I hope this inspires more people to pick up a Mira! Stephanie glad you included your specific plans haha. That's what I really wanted to hear :) lol. Great video!
Allison you can so finish the Lady by your goal date. There is allot of block stitching of the same colors. Once you get going on the beads you’ll get in a rhythm. You’ll be just fine!
Well, I received a gift also OOP, I have most everything except the treasures, and honestly I can just pick up something at Hobby Lobby jewelry isle. She has a flag 😎
Yay! Lady of the Flag is one of the charts I found I had in my stash when I saw you most expensive charts patterns. I kitted her up and started stitching her.
I'm watching this so late😅 but I'm excited to watch the 2024 Nora November update you made recently to see all the progress ❤❤ love all your projects on the go!
I loved that very first WIP you showed! I also just started on Candie which is my very first Fancy Lady. I used to be very uninterested in Mira's and fancy ladies in general but I feel like slowly I'm coming around!
👗I’m in! I will be stitching Garden Beauty. Thinking I may stitch on Aida because of similar reasons as Allison… trying to figure out a good fabric is hard, because I do think something sort of yellow is probably the best for Garden Beauty, given the blue dress and pink flowers, but yellow is like my least favorite color… hmmm….so many decisions!
Just found you and eager to give mirabillia a go. I have bought a handful of them and the bead packs to a few...will try to decide which ones to finish kitting up and start stitching this may. They are all soooo pretty! 👗🥻💃
👗👗🧜♀🧜♀Love, love, loved this flosstube and your timing could not have been better. I just returned from Stitch West with a monstrous haul that included my first Nora, Lily of the Valley, that I completely kitted up between Stitcher's Paradise in Las Vegas and the Stitchery Xpress outside of Ogden. Then I found the Mira I wanted to do, the Gypsy Mermaid, on the freebie table.🥳🎉 That was my personal miracle!!! I will start my Nora on May first with you all. My dream would be to one day do Lady of the Flag in the the blue conversion. I have also been following a facebook group called Mini Miras. I would love to do her on 20 count . 😁 They use smaller beads out of Japan. I stitch with my sister who lives in Ohio. I am in Southern California. We facetime daily to share our stitching!!! I just started my own flosstube, Catherine the Absent Minded stitcher. I'd love to get your feedback. Happy Stitching Ladies. Loved the plans from your car!!!!🚗🚙🚔
I will be working on finishing the Miras I have started. Cathedral Goddess is in the beading stage. She will be going up next to Rain Queen which I finished last year. I have another Mira halfway done which I need to give some love to, so maybe in May. I'm starting a remembrance piece on April 28 in memory of my mom's passing on that date so May will be a lot on that one. I usually just pick up what calls to me. I try to refrain from buying more Miras because I feel I will never get them all done in my lifetime, but they are all so gorgeous.
👗just made it to the end! ❤ Persephone is my first Mira as well as my only so far. I try to stick to one wip per designer lol. It was hard to just pick one but I have strong ties to the mythology of Persephone so that made her the top pick.
👗🧜♀️. Great motivation. MY First Mira I fell in love with was Waiting for Ships. I don't have any Miras I want to start next month but you did motivate me to look back and try a Nora so I'm currently waiting on one of the Mermaid Letters. I have dreams of doing my daughter's initials and framing them and then maybe in 10 years have the entire alphabet. And knowing me, I'll start a Nora in May and a Mira in November bc I'm weird like that.😅
Omg girls at all the Mira’s!!! Yall have some bravery!! I am so excited yall are going to be stitching Lady of the Flag!! I need some support so I’ll have to work on her so we can do her together. Thank you so much for the shout out!! I’ll send folks your way as well on my next flosstube!! Can’t wait to see the blue conversation as you stitch her.
I have to bite the bullet and start my first Mira, I have everything I need but still intimidated by it, I find the chart big and comber some. Don’t use programs only paper charts any tips?
Make a working copy and turn it into smaller pages. That’s what I did with my Thomas Kincaid Disney pattern. It is a little confusing so you need to mark your borders clearly! ❤❤❤
i would love to participate in mira may but i dont have any mira patterns and cant really afford nice fabric for one, unfortunately my birthday is june 1st or id ask my family for the fabric/pattern to join 🥲
I got fancy fabric this time but my go-to is store bought Aida. Maybe you could dye some of that? I recently coffee dyed some fabric and it was so fun!
@@Allisonatthemoment I'll have to consider that! Only issue with store bought is the only craft store i know of in my area is a micheals so my selection on sizes is very limited, ive been thinking about looking into a LNS since im sure my city has one or two
@@SakariaSnow well if the Mira you want has beads a 14 count I think is the recommended because of the beading. That’s the most common size at my Hobby Lobby anyway. I think LNS’s are special but they can get pricey. I save those purchases for special occasions. Like the big Super Bowl sale at the Silver Needle 🤣🤣🤣
I have a Nora going … Miss Spider … and it’s okay but I decided I don’t much like stitching fancy folk. I like to see others stitch them though 👗🥻👘💃🏻🧚♂️🧝🏼♀️

Nice to see your plans, ladies. Good luck with Mira May & with getting Lady of the Flag done for your anniversary too! Very exciting. I like looking at other people stitching Miras but have no desire to stitch one so I'll live vicariously through you! 👗
Love your plans for May - can’t wait to see all the beautiful stitching 👗
💃Such exciting plans!! Allison definitely join in on #firstmirasal! I hope this inspires more people to pick up a Mira! Stephanie glad you included your specific plans haha. That's what I really wanted to hear :) lol. Great video!
This will be my first Mira! I will be stitching Mermaids of the Deep Blue. Reminds me of me and sister 🤍 Super excited! 🧜♀️🧜♀️🧜♀️
Allison you can so finish the Lady by your goal date. There is allot of block stitching of the same colors. Once you get going on the beads you’ll get in a rhythm. You’ll be just fine!
👗👗💃 So many beautiful ladies! Very inspiring. Looking forward to seeing your journeys with these! 💕
👗 Love them all! Thanks for another great video ladies 💜
Oh I want in on Mira May, let’s see if I can kit her up in time. You two are so adorable.
ooh which one are you planning? (and thanks!)
Well, I received a gift also OOP, I have most everything except the treasures, and honestly I can just pick up something at Hobby Lobby jewelry isle. She has a flag 😎
🧚
💃Beautiful charts and wips!! Will join with Villa Mirabilia, which I have as a wip. Good luck with the Lady
I did LOF in the blue conversion and won 2 First Place ribbons with her. She is beautiful and well worth the effort to stitch her. Chris
🧜♀️ really enjoyed the video,
love the mermaid!
Can’t wait to see your progress 👗👗🥻🥻🥻💃💃💃
I’m thinking of stitching lady justice!!!! I’ve always loved Themis!!!!
I started Stargazer as my first Mira and she's on a linen from BananaOil and she's turning out so good
ooh i bet she's gorgeous!
I loved that very first WIP you showed! I also just started on Candie which is my very first Fancy Lady. I used to be very uninterested in Mira's and fancy ladies in general but I feel like slowly I'm coming around!
👗I started my first Mirabilia last May. You both have inspired me to add to my collection😉 looking forward to Mira May!
Good luck with your Mira May plans. I love Mira designs.👗
Awesome video! My first ever Mira finish was Adia the garden fairy. Happy stitching
👗I’m in! I will be stitching Garden Beauty. Thinking I may stitch on Aida because of similar reasons as Allison… trying to figure out a good fabric is hard, because I do think something sort of yellow is probably the best for Garden Beauty, given the blue dress and pink flowers, but yellow is like my least favorite color… hmmm….so many decisions!
so glad you found one you love! 👗

That's so exciting! How is your Mira May going?
I haven't started one yet, but this video is making me want to participate in Mira May. 👗
My only Mira is Persephone so that’s the one I’m working on this may. 😂
she's so pretty!
👗just made it to the end! ❤ Persephone is my first Mira as well as my only so far. I try to stick to one wip per designer lol. It was hard to just pick one but I have strong ties to the mythology of Persephone so that made her the top pick.
👗 I have a small start on Raven Queen. I will work on her in May.
yay! 👗👗
I am waiting for my Mirabilia Nightingale pattern, hope I can join the SAL in time
that will be so fun!
And knowing me, I'll start a Nora in May and a Mira in November bc I'm weird like that.😅
👗🙂

I don’t have any desire to stitch the fancy ladies. I do love to look at them, though. 👗
❤👗❤️
❤️
I have a Nora going … Miss Spider … and it’s okay but I decided I don’t much like stitching fancy folk. I like to see others stitch them though 👗🥻👘💃🏻🧚♂️🧝🏼♀️
