Dude, I live like 20 minutes from Harper's Ferry! I recognised it immediately in the beginning haha, I was on that rock once as well! I live like 10 minutes away from the closest part of the Potomac River. You should kayak the Great Falls lol

I paid for a few sessions of instruction with Liquid Adventure Kayak School and River and Trail outfitters to learn my roll. It took me a long time to get my first roll. I've taken a few sessions of instruction since then but I have learned all my river-running from friends on the river. I always welcome and appreciate advice from trip leaders and more experienced paddlers. Any time an expert paddler says "follow me" or "come do this move" I always take advantage.

I have to go to Germany, Belgium or an other country. For the most close river (class 3) I have to drive about 3 hours, but it's something. yeah i wasn't doing much practiced a few peel outs but no surfing yet with every successful combat roll i become more adventurous though hopefully i get down there early enough this wednesday to hit center chute before my practice class. were you in your yellow ez if so you must of left before i went out i checked my videos and didn't see you. Oh yeah Raul passed his test friday
I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I see a lot of people trying to paddle above their level. Screw ups on class 5 happen to even the best, and they can be deadly.
I hear you on that. I'm still having lots of fun working on class III and IV moves so I don't see a reason to rush into running class V right now but if the right opportunity presented itself ya never know. Cheers!
I'm in Kamloops BC so there's a fair amount of whitewater around but I'm recovering from shoulder surgery (as a result of kayaking and popping the shoulder out so much)

Thanks for commenting! I shot that one as a time-lapse video with my DSLR. I used a neutral density filter to slow the exposure down so I could get that blur on the water.

In case you're not familiar with time-lapse, tha clip is made up of 300 slow-exposure photographs set on a timeline at 30 frames per second.
I never really thought about using long exposures to make a timelapse before, cheers man I'll give it a try. :)
