Great rendition of the old Freddie King instrumental. Freddie's work isn't easy to render authentically; getting his sound and vibe isn't easy - but the band does it. Well-done, guys! The rhythm section are in the pocket and don't overplay.... they sound great. Anson Funderburgh as always sounds raor-sharp and his note choices and phrasing are as tasty as ever. Mike Keller is new to me, but after hearing him here, I'll be looking for him, because he's the real deal.
The older he gets, the tastier his playing seems to get! This is a wonderful performance. The late great Freddie King and his best instrumentals are no easy thing to cop - to do justice to in the right and authentic way.
@@knifelyfe6565- I gravitate towards his instrumentals, which I love. He was such a great performer, a real blues legend. And if you play guitar and the blues, you have absolutely got to know his standards. No two ways about it...
Great drummer, he knows how hard NOT to hit the drums.
Anson is as good as it gets.

So great !
Experience, control, taste, wit ====> pleasure!
love the bass player and drummer....anson will always be great but these guys groove
Well, that was a surprise, when you've got a few guitars onstage and one's a Telecaster you don't expect the Tele to be the one that sounds mellow!
Anson is the Pride of Plano Texas , and he has paid his dues and one of finest ax men going...

That's how Fender guitars should always sound. In fact, the company should consider changing its name to "Funder".
Keller is brilliant!
of course, he's from Fargo...played with Double Trouble and Fabulous Thunderbirds.
Great sounding player! I didn't know of him before seeing and hearing this video, but I sure do now....
Where is his pedal board ?? ....oh thats right he dont need one !!!
Nice. Hey Kid, can you make more SPPW videos? :)
