In maori tradition, our warriors had did this back in the older generations, this art was called. Maurakau -(moe-ra-ko) and we used something called the Taiaha to do so.

This style is used by maori warriors the name of the weapon they use this style with is taiha. For anyone wanting to go down that rabbit hole.
The pointy end is from the taiha. The bonking end is from the Fijian totokia.
