Great educational video! I am about to pull the trigger on this machine as my first . Your videos have motivated me to get into the hobby at 76 years young. Thanks for all you do for your subs and take care!
@@IffySignals I actually got moved back to Michigan AND did my first seeded hunt- I’m crawling my way out of my hole (and will cover it lol). Never did get monetized but dont care just happy to be hunting!💃❤️🌺
Man this is a great starter detector for what it can do.. I liked the Simplex plus when it first came out and I used it for a yr or so.. Where was this one back then.. Thanks for sharing ..
$479.00 for two coils, headphones and a carbon stem along with a big clear big display screen is a great price for what your getting and will find most of the items that the top tear machines will. Enjoyed your walk though the setting 🥳🥳
I wish they would completely redesign the Legend in an update, to make it this user friendly. I've owned the Legend since it came out, so I'm pretty familiar with it... But for someone just starting out all the hidden features could be tricky to figure out.
Great review iffy,as a legend user and among other machines i use , this machines really impressed me. My buddy who's a legend user is also tempted and as you say the prices at the moment are going nuts .which can only be good for the consumer.
Very cool, nice review of what seems to be a very a capable detector! I am loving these value-priced SMF Detector Packs from Nokta & Minelab! I had my Xterra Elite Expedition pack out today on a permission property running the included V8X coil and found a 1951 Franklin Half Dollar. Really enjoying this Xterra Elite thus far! Looking forward to trying out a Triple score when I get the chance as well.
Great video & demonstrating the Triple Score. So basically the only difference between the Triple Score & Legend is the single frequency of 40 kHz & tone bends. I’m like you I rarely adjust the tone bends. I mainly use 60 tones & pitch tones. Sometimes I’ll use 4 tones & knock out the zinc pennies with my tone bend stoping at 41-42 I still hear that tone, but it won’t be a high tone. Like your copper pennies, dimes & quarters will ring up as high tones. Other than that it’s basically the Legend…for real. I’ve got so much invested in the Legend now with all the coils that I’ll be keeping my Legend. Triple Score would be an awesome backup tho!
Great in-depth testing as always. My first question is did they use the double score iron filter from the first version or the second version? That is, where park was not as good as field mode in the iron filter setting. Would have hope they corrected this in the triple score so that Park and field we're equally the same in their iron discrimination abilities. Second, have you run it through your test garden yet to see if it's depth is on par with the legend? Also, I was under the impression it was $499 not $479. Did they lower it?
Thanks Steve, depth is right with the Legend and Park unmasks better than field. Other machines (not just Nokta) are like that as well. I stick with Park M2 for everything unless at the beach. It has been said the promo price is $479. I have seem on websites $499. I would message them and say you want $479 which is the promo price Dilek mentioned. Im sure it will not stay this price for long.
Always on point Mike. Another good'n from the NM stable.. I watch all the videos you put up, always hoping that one day you'll have an "all new" FTP Fisher Single-Frequency to Demo. The SMFs are cool, please don't get me wrong, but being proper old-school, from the days of analogue and analogue/digi hybrids, I prefer the top-tier SF's. FTP's multi-billion $$s are in military kit, we know that; and Money Matters, but a good Fisher from the US is a bloody sound tool... I broke laughing when ML came out with their, "Obsoletes All SF's" bs. If their SMF was all that, then why install SF options on it🤣. Crim Island Jokers, eh. Nuf sed.
@@IffySignalsIt will. Hence the need for an All New SF from Fisher, imho..They have the means, many fold.... Increased mineralisation changes Everything 'In Ground'. That's why I 'out of ground' test, for myself, using targets under an old-fashioned highly mineralised 4" brick to replicate, as best I'm able, Roman, and other, ancient/old sites which are generally bad-ass mineralised, nail-ridden morasses. That's where the classic finds are, for the most part (unfortunately). My CMF, with it's 6" or 5/9 falls short in there, in my hands: My 19 with it's 5" or 5/10" is really profficient. 🤔Praps it's only me? I haven't a clue😵💫.. You are a brilliant ambassador for us all Mike and a sound-out evaluator of machines😊
Excellent vid Mike, you are 100% right, these new machines like the triple score and ExTerra Elite are incredible for the price. I paid more for my AT Pro about 12 years ago. Wild times .............. Thanks again!
@@IffySignals thanks. I have the 600 still and it's been almost two years since I've decided to grab a 900. Lolol. The 600 is ragged out but damnif it still don't pull some treasures. Lol
I use a a Nox 600/800 and find my chains and earring studs at 2-3 and small gold rings/pendants at 5-6. My Simplex couldn't see most of those targets, how does the Triple score do? thanks.
Triple Score does really good. Its running the same multi range as the Legend. The simplex being single freq (I think it was 12 or 15khz) would not be good on small gold.
Same as double score. All Noktas are built like tanks. Cant speak to the buttons, time will tell but I usually toss a head cover over my machines to keep them looking good. That would also protect the buttons.
Actually you are incorrect on frequency range the triple score has 4, 15, anf 20khz, the Legend will do 4, 10, 15, 20 and 40khz. Still a great detector at the price.
@@IffySignalsI’m glad they have started using the 30 instead of the stock 28. I know Legend is LG 30 & Triple Score is SC 30, but same coil. My go to coil for the Legend is the LG 24, but to be honest I’ve found more silver with the small 6” LG 15.

Its definitely jam packed with features. Its been out now for a couple years. We will prob see a new machine before a revamp of the Legend.
@@IffySignals I'd like to to see a machine that was around 2 pounds instead of almost 3. Don't really feel like paying $1,600 for the Deus. 😂
Yes, maybe give us a lighted keypad.

Crazy times right! I think the AT Pro was $550 and the F75 was around $700 when they came out. 10 years ago a machine like this would be over a grand.
How is the build quality? The double score control panel buttons feel potentially not durable over heavy use.
