I didn't think mom was being cruel!! She was trying to forage because she's hungry and she needs food to make milk for junior. She's trying to get him out of her way and on her back. They all do that. She seems like a good mom to me👍👍😄❤️❤️☺️🤗
Most people after seeing this video think that the mother is being cruel, but this is usually done when there is not enough milk for the baby. And after everything returns to normal, the baby will get back what he deserves.
I agree. She's just trying to find food. She wants the baby to stay out of the way so she can look through the leaves.

If the females don’t eat enough they can’t continue to produce milk to feed their young, and if the infants don’t take breaks with nursing, then there won’t be enough milk. This is exactly why the mothers have to put their young on some kind of schedule, because it gives their bodies time to produce more and more milk, but unfortunately so many people just don’t understand nor do they know this!! 😊

These mother's get tired just like human moms.
This is the first video I have seen in a very long time of any long tails that is actually GOOD. No interference from money hungry humans, creating drama just to make a video. This seems to have been just someone wanting to show them NATURAL. I agree with the comment on the momma being healthy. Healthy and NORMAL. Not obese. She's doing what she's suppose to do, foraging for food, teaching her baby patients, and teaching it the ways of natural habitat. I'm sure she is a low ranking female, so she'll also be teaching the little one all about monkey politics.

You are wrong. A newborn should eat often . Also, whenever babies are abused, they won't ask for milk out of fear. This is definitely not how it is supposed to be. Most mothers feed and protect their babies. Do you think your mother treated you this way ? This baby should also be carried underneath the mother for protection. They can't hold on good being carried holding on the side like that.

Mom is not thin. I would say she is a healthy weight. We're used to seeing fat overweight females who are fed an unhealthy diet.
Thank you!! It's sad when people see the overfed macaques in the Cambodian video's think that's normal. It isn't. Those monkey's are so morbidly obese they can hardly climb up a tree anymore! In the wild they mostly eat grass, leaves and insect's. They'll eat native fruit as well. Those monkey's are constantly being fed banana's and mango which are loaded with natural sugar. Macaque's can suffer from some of the same disease's that human's do. Like Type 2 diabetes. They're basically being fed to death so the disgusting VO'S can film them.

I had to delete several videos such as baby monkeys being dragged by their mothers, monkey fights, in short everything related to violence even though the incident just happened. You tube doesn't allow that because the scene is a violation of the community. And for more than a month this channel no longer gets ads or what is commonly called demonetization.
Thankfully, after I deleted more than four million views, I was again accepted as a TH-cam partner. If you watch on this channel now, you will no longer find videos showing the cruelty of a mother monkey to her baby.
Once again I apologize because I can no longer follow Dodo's developments.

This is the only channel about LTM's that I ever watch. I report the others to TH-cam because of the VO's harassing and doing outright harm to the monkeys for views. I just want to observe monkeys being themselves in their natural habitat. Thank you for practicing non-interference while making your videos.
This little guy reminds me of Calvin for some reason. At least these babies aren’t crybaby pigs like I’ve seen in other videos.

I like the fact that she gives him just enough milk to sustain him because going by newborn babies even those this monkey has no human DNA these mother monkeys try doing thins like human mothers. We feed our babies on a schedule every 3 or 4 hours and just because the cry and whine you don't pop a bottle in their mouths this is what these responsible mothers are doing feeding them when they are supposed to and not before.

You have to understand that for a baby to stay on this damp ground is not reassuring there are lots of critters that fly around when his mother lifts the dead leaves to look for his food. This baby is not well, he is in pain. ease it shows that's why he tries to stay on his mother's back and it's quite logical and normal only his mother remains indifferent for the moment while she looks for something to eat.He just has to be patient💁 💗

Incidents like this often happen anywhere. During my observations this incident resulted from the production of breast milk which was not smooth so that the mother monkey had to be forced not to give her baby milk. Then after it feels that milk is available again, the mother monkey will give her baby milk which is the main food for the baby monkey.

This is how nature intended it to be! Momma has a VERY demanding & greedy infant to nurse & is acting on the instincts that are embedded within her genetic makeup. The baby is fed ONLY if the Mom is able to forage enough to provide the nutrition she needs for her own health. But humans feeding her crap loaded w sugar/carbs and other unnatural chemicals is counterproductive and really only creates more of problem cuz just like us, (humans) they (primates) will become obese and needless to say, come with an array of issues! 🙏🏼✌🏼🫶🏼
No they are wild animals that knows how to survive on their and they don’t need any help whatsoever from humans. There’s tons of natural food in their environment for them to eat, human food isn’t healthy for them. God intended those wild creatures to live and survive in their own natural environment!! 😊

Lol, hearing you guys say she's a good mom is hilarious. You can see the baby is obviously starved. I'm guessing you all don't know this, or probably choose to ignore it, but this monkeys name is DoDo and he is a documented case of infantile abuse or starvation in captive primates and is well known for having to endure numerous abuses from its mother, the major being starvation. He's also subject to regular beatings, being thrown from climbing surfaces onto the ground, gang punishments, being drug and smashed into things, and enduring prolonged periods in the cold alone. If you can't see this animal is starving, I really pity the hatred you just have for your own children that your only outlet can be to watch a monkey mother abuse their baby. Such a shame.

There's nothing special about the baby's behavior. He's definitely a cute, little guy and appears to be pretty quiet and well behaved, but most babies are like that and have a really sweet temperament for the first week or two, then they'll start getting more demanding and freak out when they aren't able to feed or cling to their mother when they want.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who caught this.. I'm at 4:42 look at all the MANY bugs flying. How are all those people recording this without going crazy. There's others I've watched where there was nothing but trash on the ground literal trash.

The mother primate here is fairly thin, I suspect she's young, and this may be her first infant. She seems desperate to find anything to eat, grubs, roots. It's possible she's also not getting enough to eat, this means her milk is of poor quality, so the baby is thinner and smaller than normal.
We are so used to seeing over fed morbidly obese monkeys on other channels and when we see a monkey such as ones in these videos we think “oh too thin” when in actuality..this is the perfect weight and build of a healthy monkey..they don’t get fed garbage food 24/7....these monkeys are fed probably 1-2 times a day and are provided enough nutrients and continue forging as they should....so no...these monkeys are not “too skinny” or malnourished...they are healthy normal wild monkeys...
