    What did you use to paint the crystals? Did you pour the resin while the crystals were still wet to get the smoke effect? Also, did you add the blue dye immediately or wait for the resin to become gel-like in order to get the smoky effect?

    • @DrPoxy_
      @DrPoxy_  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The crystals are poured with pigments in liquid form.
      You can think of it as a form similar to oil paint.
      I poured white, and immediately poured blue-toned resin.
      The resin then hardens and heats up.
      This heat causes the white pigment to rise upwards.
      As you can see from the video, the heat causes large bubbles to form.
      As the resin increases in height, the internal heat cannot escape upwards and generates a lot of heat.
      Given this moderate height and amount of resin, you can make some great smokes too.
      Please come to see often.. 😊😊😊
      Thank you...

      @@DrPoxy_ Thank you for this insight. It's exactly what I was looking for. I'll have to test this out. I use a deep pour resin that I can pour up to 5"/12cm and it barely gets hot. It also has very few bubbles. It is a low viscosity due to its deep pour nature and as a result, does not create much heat at all. Most pigments that I add too soon just sink to the bottom because it starts out so thin. I love what you've done though and I haven't seen many smoke effects in this type of application.

    • @DrPoxy_

      I used crystal clear resin.
      I'm still not sure exactly what the difference is.
      However, it is a resin that hardens for 48 hours. (Low viscosity resin)
      There are almost no air bubbles at about 10cm(height), but when it is higher than that, air bubbles and heat are generated.
      There were many places where the resin information was not detailed, so there were many difficulties in choosing a resin.
      Then I was lucky enough to make this.
      I'm working on something else for a while now, so I'll upload resin soon.
      Thank you for your interest. 😊😊😊

    Hello. Would you have the links please to know exactly what you used : Apoxy, wood type, glue etc..
    Thanks so much in advance

    • @DrPoxy_
      @DrPoxy_  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are a lot of things I bought in my country, so it's hard to answer.
      But I'll try to answer as much as possible. 😊😊😊
      The link is unknown, so you have to find it on Amazon, etc...
      epoxy : crystal clear epoxy resin (with hardener)
      wood : red pine wood (recommend using a better one)
      glue : any wood glue, instant glue
      acrylic : clear transparent acrylic sheets
      (1T)
      If you need help, I’ve got you covered...
      Thank you..

      @@MrCed0802 You're welcome..
      But I don't understand well...
      Are you asking what is better to put on the wood?
      Instead of crystal?
      No need for crystals, just let the light scatter well.
      If I don't understand, ask again. 😊😊
      Thanks..

    i am so confused at 7:54 you seem to inject epoxy inside the thing. how did you get a hole to inject ??

    • @DrPoxy_
      @DrPoxy_  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is important to bleed the air out of the hole by inserting the resin.
      It was more difficult than I thought, and I remember getting the air out by repeating it several times.
      The dropper(dropping pipette) was easier to work with than the syringe.
      Good luck.. Bro..
