We need more things to address new player retention. The fact it truly takes years in this game to really start having fun. People don’t have time for that..cuz idk we still have lives to live.
Yep, these types of games can prove to be very unfriendly for newer players as the years progress.
The NewPlayerExperience is a massive speed up, its basically a mini hyperdrive. If you know what your doing, you can get to 3m+ GP in a year now F2P.
@@AhnaldT101In this 3v3 Grand Arena I have had multiple opponents with millions of GP. Im in carbonite 4 with 719k GP and my opponent is 7.49 million with multiple GLs. So many required characters too.
Would be great if this “play with friends” game included ways to…. actually play with friends.

They got greedy on the LSBs real fast, the original ten dollar packs were amazing, the current bundles twenty dollars for one character, or a team that's only applicable for the raid - let's get back to the good ten dollar packs sooner rather than later.
Easily can argue they’re worth the value regardless if you’re looking at dollars spent for Kyros and such. I think they realized quickly that they went way too far with the original LSBs and figured out they could make a lot more for less.
if they continued in with that kind of value you would end up being able to relic all the roughly 270 characters for just a couple hundred, not healthy for the game
@@Pluto769 the LSBs idea was to give new players a catch up mechanic on old characters they would not necessarily farm with all the new teams being released, they would never get all 270 characters.
If it's supposed to be a catch up mechanic on old content it should be at the low end of costs. The company is getting greedy on these packs, the idea people think because Kyrotechs are hard to get they have value is missing the point - these are not meta teams, no-one is building these teams if they are just starting out.

Bro what😭 they added a Rey and kylo pack because they were the two least owned GL’s, were u expecting more OP packs like a JMK or maybe even a Jabba pack? The game cant just be you spend ten bucks and u get a year off of farming! They just wanted to make the two least owned GL’s more accessible!

From a mid-tier roster standpoint with a bit of spare income to toss into the trash, the Lightspeed Bundles have been pretty nice and are allowing me to focus on some of the newer stuff like Gungans while still being able to fill out some roster spots. The Kyrotech alone on these bundles saves so much freaking time. I was farming up Bad Batch, but now I feel like they'll have a LSB in 2025. If not, no skin off my back.
I am basically waiting for a BB lightspeed bundle before touching LV. I just have too much else to focus on to return to an expensive, mediocre GL.

@@AhnaldT101 just multi sim it the next day before u hit restart that way you’ll get 1100 instead of 1200. Once u do that two days in a row it’ll be fixed and you won’t lose 200
As a newish player. I love light speed bundles because I never would’ve kept playing if they didn’t have them. I get that the f2p grind is quicker, but having to spend a year or 2 just to enjoy the full game is ridiculous
If they give us Crosshair in this game, our life’s would be complete

I have no issue with it. I am near 12M GP. At the time had way too many things to farm and Rey was left behind, let me get Rey done, and then relic up my leftover NS, then the Jedi council for the Raid. For me it really helped fill in some gaps or areas I was not focusing on. I do feel as the old bundles should be available in the web store.
Saw light speed for ki adì mundi. And only gave a 5 star. Mines 6 star so useless to me
I was one of those who had JUST farmed KAM after about a year and a half via Guild tokens only for the bundle to come out. REALLY demoralizing.

I had just finished the negotiator and wasn't bothered in any way that others got it from a bundle.. I never understood why this bothers people. I got jkl earlier this year and didn't need that bundle so I was happy to not buy it. No problem. Congratulations to those it helped out.

I'm actually quite upset about the Ki-Adi-Mundi bundle. It's essentially confirmation that they have no intention of making him more accessible. If they did make him more accessible now then tons of people who bought the bundle will feel cheated, since the only reason they'd spend $20 on one unit is because they are so difficult to unlock.
So, all players are now stuck with a choice. 1, spend thousands of kyrotechs worth of currency to unlock him over the course of multiple years. 2, accept the fact that this is a character they will never have access to. Or 3, hope that the bundle comes back at some point so that they can fork over 20$ for one unit.
I really want KAM, but I haven't gotten to building up galactic republic jedi yet, and, while it's extremely generous by this game's standards, I don't feel good with myself spending that much on a single character in a mobile game, so I skipped the bundle both times and now it's very likely that I just won't get him ever.
My prediction is he's talking about the great mothers?

In my opinion, the best way CG could handle lightspeed bundles going forward is by doing these things.
1. Announce 6 months in advance the upcoming lightspeed bundles. 6 months is the average farm time for a GL (in my experience, excluding some exceptions) so this would give amble time for people to farm other things while they wait, almost removing problem 2 altogether.
2. I get CG wants to have a "fear of missing out" mentality around Lightspeeds to make them even more valuable, but it is harmful to the player base long term. I love the idea of lightspeeds being available forever, but a nice middle ground could be to add them permanently to the store 1 year (or even six months) after their initial release at half price. Now, the fear of missing out is still there as some might not want to wait a year until it is available again or those that took breaks can still get them, while also maintaining the new player retention benefits.
3. CG needs to get better at the newcomer experience still. I started an F2P after the new update to the newcomer experience. It still took me 50 days to get from level 0-85. That is wayyyy too long still. Lightspeeds would help with getting them up to speed with current meta, but that 50-day timer is such a deterrence.
I say this all as if I was an expert, but I am not. At the end of the day, CG runs a billion dollar game, and I do not. I merely suggest this as a fan and a player.
Yes and no. As a f2p, it's a bit painful, because now I have to change my farm to fight these lightspeed if I want to survive in the GAC. I was playing normally and suddenly everyone started getting SLKR and Rey, especially in the lower divisions. But this game needs new players and money, so.... yes and no.
I disagree...regardless of whether people are getting lsbs your GAC rank will never change until you get the necessary toons. The only downside to lsbs are ship bundles which lock out f2p in fleet arena.
Arena is completely pointless anyway. CG could entirely delete Arena from the game and I would only see it as an improvement. It's 100% focused on P2W and the matchmaking in both normal and Grand is absolutely horrendous and makes zero sense. My 775k f2p account is constantly matched up against people with up to FIVE times my GP and my other account (6 mill) is constantly paired up with 9 or 10 mill accounts, no matter my division. I'm sorry but if you have 9 mill GP you should not be in Bronzium IV.
If CG wanted us to catch up faster, I would just prefer them to either lower the cost of things like Kyrotech, instead of 50 each, just make it 25

I love LSBs. I think they're good for the game. However, I do believe as you said that there should be a tab for them & they should always be available. They should be available to anyone who doesn't have all the characters to the stats in that bundle. They should also announce when a new LSB will become available so people can determine if they want to stop their grind or push through & not pay.
LSB are healthy for the game as a catch up mechanic think of it as pokemon, magic the gathering, and yugioh card reprints people spent $100's if not $1000s of dollars on these cards but ended up becoming a bottle neck due to supply and demand and just not enough supply, and due to that these games at some point saw a massive drop off in players, and not enough of new players coming into the game to keep it alive and healthy unless they paid a major price tag. Thus reprints became a thing to reprint a lot of the meta and powerful cards after some time they were exclusive as a high rarity for a year or so, and ended up seeing major player growth. LSB's are healthy for the game to allow newer players to catch up to mid or end game, however, CG needs to be using the money get they from LSB to create more content, and diverse events, we also need more stories, and definitely more polygons, and maybe some extra voice acting to make this game modern as the current state of the game is lacking all that from being super competitive to other BBB games, but if they use the LSB money to create more content I'm all for it and brings in newer players. The players who have already had the characters prior to LSB's already reaped the rewards in doing end game content, crystal income, etc, and have already been rewarded for being early and ahead of the curve.
LSB are inflation for the economy by definition. I love them but man i am starved for zetas and other mats. The real problem is conquest toon gate keeping.
My main issues is when they offer ships/pilots. Still a slow grind for F2P and fleet arena is an easy income for dedicated players but rolling in with an effectively maxed out fleet ruins not only that but part of GA as well
They have shadowbuffed the raid Ahnald. In my guild there are discussions that the lower tiers were easier but all of a sudden its not anymore, to the point many of us just dont auto anymore many of the battles. That kind of shady practice hurts the game more than LSB
Got any reference for this? I would like to investigate it more. I ran the raid on my F2P yesterday and did not feel a difference.

I have noticed a difference when I ran it yesterday. Had to replay it twice to get the same result as last time we ran the raid. It felt like droids gained more speed? Felt like they were just running circles around me despite no changes to my mods or relics
One thing that can help is if CG make it so that the resources people have already invested into lsb characters can get refunded if they do end up buying them. Honestly don’t know why that isn’t a thing already.
i got hit twice with the lsb curse with SLKR and GAS. At 1st it stung. But then it made me rethink my farming route. Now im a month off unlocking LV and there is still the potential for JML/SEE to be the next lightspeed bundles which i see being very likely.
Just find the balance of farming between old and new characters or just farm the new toons if youre worried about lsbs and just avoid toons that lean into JML/SEE and youll be pretty safe imo
I was 30 shards away from unlocking KAM after spending GET3 on him for months at a rate of 15 shards per TB. I was overjoyed to see the LSB. Not only did it save me another month of waiting, but it also saved me a ton of gear and signal data I would have needed to dump on him to get him to R5. The shards themselves are only a small part of the value.
I have bought every LS Bundle except Nightsisters and Geos. After loosing my old account, these were a godsend. And honestly, I regreat not picking up the two that I missed.
I really wish I got that night sister bundle 😂. And the r5 padme one. Those are the only two that I have skipped and regretted. Got the Geo's gifted to me and it was nice.
I agree with the lightspeed bundle controversy on one hand it is the best value you'll ever get, but on the other it's not fair to all the people that are farming like he'll to get said characters.
As a f2p player these bundles just leave you trailing even further behind the pack. This is a mobile game I spend maybe 10 minutes on per day at most. While the prices of these bundles are decent if you want to part with your cash I just think overall the game's pricing model is disgusting. The cost of packs, whether requiring real money or crystals, are greedy and predatory, especially when there's RNG determining how many shards you get.
They've completely overinflated their economy. I appreciate that they need to make money from their f2p game but if they set the price of gear to pennies instead of several dollars you'd probably get more people willing to spend.
If they want to make the game more accessible to new players they could lower the requirements to unlock characters and ease the ludicrous grind for relic materials. But of course they won't do that when there's money to be made.

I will NEVER buy a LSB. I'm not F2P, I buy the Conquest Pass because my rewards are still based on my own performance in the game.
LSB simply mean you can completely stop playing the game and you just buy the content with zero effort. The day I contemplate buying an LSB is the day I quit SWGOH
This is a great mindset. For other people, this doesn't work entirely -
There is stuff a person won't be able to finish until the game sunsets, or until a person loses interest completely. Not a great example, but - Ki-Adi Mundi - most likely you won't get him, because of the guild having to choose specific territory battle, and finding that guild is a long and painful process. So you buy Ki-Adi Mundi bundle and don't suffer. Bad example because - why would you need him
Galactic legends Rey and Kylo have been there for years, and if people want to be competitive on a high level instead of grinding and suffering through *everything*, it's only logical to skip this suffering. You can still progress-unlock-upgrade 95% of legendary characters, it's just this 5% makes it less painful to be in arenas
If they come out with a WAT single character lightspeed bundle.. I think that is a worthy investment for those who are in a reva guild and don't do his territory anymore.

13:40 , i agree with that, I'm now focussing on Baylan Skoll, there's ofcourse only so much i can spend on if you're in a country with Anti-Gambling Regulations. But i feel confident that i wanna get Baylan Skoll like a few months after he is released, I almost got Thrawn to Relic Levels, like tomarrow maybe even.
I got that Impression ever since Doctor Aphra was released, i got her a few months entirely F2P after she was released.
I feel as someone who doesn't buy alot in this game that i can keep up with the new Stuff.
I gonna focus on baylan Skoll, Gonna buy whatever packs i can of his requirements and wait untill they are F2P farmable. That will alow me to hoard Gear, Relics and Ability materials for them.
And i wish for the Nightsister bundle to return, i'm gonna relic Morgan, The great mothers and probably down the road also Merrin. So i definetly regret not buying it.
It’s so true about the farming freeze. I have GAS and Marauder but don’t want to relic Clones or BB, as I think they may do a LSB soon
On a semi related note, I'm gonna say it. Do not sleep on the Padawan Obi Omicron. It is incredible for Conquest. It's not like using the one or two teams that really pump out that buff or debuff and you get about 5 a match. No, with the PadaWan-cron, you clear the Buff missions in 2 maybe 3 matches, the debuff in 5 maybe 8 matches.

Coming from a very low spending minnow in the game, i had no issues with lsb. I was one of those who had to spend get3 to get kam, took him to r5, and then a few months later his lsb came out. I wasnt upset others could get him easier than i could. I do think its better for newer players to get into that endgame where the real game is. Plus i think people overestimate how many people are really gonna spend on these.
LSBs just need to be available all the time on the web store.
CG should come up with a system that compensates people. Like for example: If you had Ki-Adi Mundi at or above relic 5 and they release the LS bundle, your character gets flagged and if you buy the LS bundle you get all the G2 currency back that they know you spent on KAM. If it's relic three they could prorate it or whatever.
Had buddy farm rey for a year. finally unlocks her the day the lightspeed bundle was announced. he was beyond pissed
I think we should have some packs that are permanent, namely GL packs and special legendaries like GAS. Maybe adding them at their 2-3 year anniversaries for people to catch up, kind of like a Hyperdrive Bundle, and some that come back from time to time, like Hoth or KAM. Also, a certain level of predictability would be nice. I’d have a new LSB every like 6 months for an old team or requirements for an older event, that way people can focus on the new stuff and not have to play guess catch up while new teams keep coming out . Overall, it is a great way to let new ish players catch up, but with the way they currently work, it’s also a good way for people to not know if a farm is worth it or if it’ll be 10 bucks next month
As someone who had KAM at G12 when the KAM light speed bundle got announced, I wasn’t mad about my time and resources wasted. I was excited for people to not have go through that awful grind.
I think your first point is only valid for the first 2 bundles that were released- I can’t blame recent SLKR and Rey unlockers for being mad about that. After that, it’s entirely possible to more or less lightspeed-proof your farms, with the exception of some GLs reqs
The guilds I was apart of was no where near ready to get KAM or really the G3 Currency. So I took a shortcut & bought the KAM LSB. Now, I'll never have to worry about it unless I need to Relic him further... 🤷♂️
8yrs worth of backlogged characters and events can be intimidating especially when you need a lot of them plus the newest characters to even participate in the raids and conquests that are currently happening
I like to look at it this way.
GL counters are everywhere nowadays, if I can work on said counters and some time down the road get a Rey, a Master Luke, maybe a Kenobi eventually. Because of bundles I've been able to focus on the "newer" teams as opposed to teams from 4 years ago and playing catch up.
I can see CG bringing back the LSB for Christmas would be nice to go back and grab the LSB you missed through the year. Have it run for 5 days or so
Funny thing about the light speed bundles they came out three years after the first collect legends that same time. Will be next year for Kenobi in Lord Vader.
As a returning player, I had Ki Adi maxed out @ g11 with all his zetas/etc and still bought the LSB - as even with farming him with MK/GET3 (can't remember which) I only had him @ 5 stars... With 65/85 left for the 7th star.
The issue is the exclusively in regards to time frame when it comes to these packs... If they really wanted to speed up the newbies - ALL of the previous packs would be permanent... Just like the hyperspace bundle.
As someone who took a break from SWGOH in 2019 and got back into the game coincidentally when the Raddus, BB8, and Rey LSB first came out: No.
Without the LSB, I am six years behind the top 50 in my fleet shard in all areas of the game.
The LSB are the only reason I haven’t given up on “catching up to my fleet shard.
Singlehandedly LSB sped up the timeline for me joining a ROTE guild that participates in the latest raid for mk3 raid currency.
No question it’s made, GAC harder but I honestly think I’d be years behind where I’m currently at without it.
As an entirely free to play player, I got SLKR about 3 weeks before the original bundles came out with the BB-8 pack that was basically slkr. I bought the Rey ones to not miss put since the price point was insane. And the satisfaction I have with SLKR is much higher than with Rey
I think they are great for new players, with the caveat that you do need a supportive guild or a friend who already plays (to explain things) to get the most out of them.
I have a friend who started playing about a year ago and to catch up, they have bought all the LS bundles. It's improved their account massively and they have got a couple of GLs from picking up where the LS bundles got them and they've been able to leap into Hard Conquest almost immediately BUT... they have no clue how to use many of the teams, making things like Conquest, GAC or the GC really hard until someone explains the team mechanics/best lineups to them.
As a guild leader, it is something I am seeing with people who join the guild as well and we are having to pay closer attention to full rosters because of the same issue. They will have a one or two usable R5 squads, maybe a GL or two and everything else is 3*, level 1, so their TB/TW contributes are minimal. That being said, once my friend does understand how to use a team, they have been able to progress with things like Conquest way faster than if they were still grinding.
I got back into the game last year shortly after galactic legend leia came out (The version of my favorite Star Wars character from my favorite Star Wars movie) after not playing the game since its early years and was devastated to realize it would take forever to to unlock her, but thanks to multiple light speed bundles that helped me zoom through early legendary characters (R2, Palpatine, Thrawn, BB-8, etc.) and even a galactic legends kylo I managed to find my footing and am now currently grinding for that GL Leia I wanted so badly who Im on track to get before the end of the year.

Agreed, at 75/330 with the Ki-Adi-Mundi farm - 0 shards came from TB. LSB coming out was a huge gut shot. Buy the LSB and waste the resources used for the 75 shards, or don't buy the LSB and keep farming knowing that the pain could have been prevented by spending money.
I got SLKR through the lightspeed bundles, and I am extremely grateful to have him, but I'm working towards JMK right now, and if they release a bundle for him, I'm going to go into mourning from all the wasted materials and time.
As someone who’s played since before grand master yoda got added: as much as LSBs annoy me with stuff I’ve farmed, I love being able to skip ridiculously long grinds for characters who have now become only partially relevant as compared to what they once were
The "freeze" problem is the biggest problem for me. Once you are a "LSB player", you can't venture out on your own and do your own stuff (, "PPs" as Rabid Beaver would call them). You need to save your time and resources to cap off LSBs and it would be a huge setback to spend resources on an old non-LSB farm only to have a LSB drop and negate the only real progress you've made in the game on your own.
That's not true. You focus on something else, like Ahsoka Tano, Leia or Gungans. Saving for LSB doesn't make any sense, since nobody knows what they would put in them. New teams are always better then the old ones, even GL's. A lot of non-gl teams now can beat SLKR consistently.
@@peter21adrian New teams are waaayyyy more expensive in terms of kyrotech. I could farm 3 old teams in the time it takes me to farm one. GL Ashoka? That's a joke for a purely LSB player. I don't have either Revan, I don't have Imperial troopers, I don't even have my CLS team relic'd. You want me to go after Ashoka? You want me to grind relic 9s? I could finish a bunch of other teams before I touch Ashoka. Leia is possible, true. Is the same problem though. I'm avoiding old teams for fear of it being totally invalidated.
The 'Lightfreezing' is exactly whats gone on with me. Im working on Gungans, even though my inquisition needs to be leveled to unlock Scythe. Im so nervous after Starkiller, which i had just unlocked
The recent Jedi LSB I bought was my first and only purchase. While I can recognize the value in what was provided (I have a 1yr account and actually didn't have these units unlocked) I admittedly was disappointed to see they didn't have their Zetas, mods, etc which greatly hurt their usefulness.
Now to get them up and running properly, it means diverting resources from my main projects.
On the other hand, it did furnish me with a team of Jedi that while hardly top tier, I didnt previously have one so it was plug and play for me.
The light speed bundles brought me back after many years away from this game but now im in the boat of light freeze especially when it comes to characters who already had a bundle. I think a solution would be to announce all bundles for the next 12 months, therefore you can choose to farm normally without the fear of it being a complete waste or you can hold off and roll the dice for another 12 months. At the moment I think they are loosing money by making it random, for example I want beskar mando and I would buy the individual packs but I'm to afraid just in case his lightspeed returns, same goes for starkiller etc
If the biggest problem people have is: it "penalizes" players, that's pretty weak. We know what a Sale is. Buying/farming anything for sale to adopt as soon as possible is going to cost more than waiting longer to adopt. It's a choice and that time was going to pass anyways. The Hyperdrive Bundle provided great value for the time and we'd recommend it to new players because reaching lvl85 takes at least 2mon. Lightspeed Bundles are just the next step in that direction
Yeah, I was five shards away from unlocking KAM and it did feel like a kick in the pants when the LSB dropped. I could've used the GET3 currency elsewhere.
The people complaining about it being too accessible for $10 is like listening to my parents say “back in my day life was so hard and you have it too easy”
Ive had so much use out of my geos, nightsisters, BH, and seperatists because of LSB and i never would have farmed them without. Not to mention it helped me get JML and profundity and i wouldnt have gotten rey without it. 0 regret, i love the LSB
Love the LSB although I think the best deals are now behind us. Really easy fix would be for CG to give the guarantee that no bundle will be for characters less then 'x' amount of years old.
I can get both sides of it. As someone that was ftp up until light speed bundles and just got done grinding Luke that when I saw I could relic just about all the first order and resistance I neglected was like "oh, okay" and do see where those who did whale pre bundles might feel cheated, but I know if I just joined and saw the competition for anything pvp related and the power creep that any new potential player might just nope out before giving it a shot where as the bundles save literal months, if not years for first time players.
Its certainly got me waiting for ls bundles . I'm 2 reqs from jmk and waiting for the padme bundle to show its head again. Luckily I have other farms I can focus on but can imagine there's other players like me.
It comes down to value over time. Just like with electronics, when new electronics are first released, they are super expensive and only those with money can afford it for a time b3cause of limited availability and cost of production. When the technology becomes more common or has been there for a while, the price goes down because newer technology is being developed. People who get to use these characters early have used them for months, if not years. So they got the value they invested in most cases.
My GL order of obtaining is Rey, Master Luke, SLKR, Master Kenobi, and now SEE. Personally after Rey, it got somewhat easier to get farm the rest. I believe because CG started combining some characters required for the event. Now semi farming for GL Ashoka and Lord Vader. I say this because grinding for Rey was a pain in the butt. I am all for light speed bundles so people won’t have to experience the unnecessary grind and pain. Yeah I felt a certain way when the Rey and Kylo bundle came out. It brought back the Rey emotional grind. But happy others can get the characters. More light speed bundles please.
Okay, just to clarify a $10 pack didn't get you Rey you had to get all 3 packs bb8 and JTR then you needed the ship pack. It doesn't change the dialog but it wasn't a 1 and done pack
LSBs is the best thing happened to the game. I consider myself as freemium player, and playing for just almost 3 years, so missing those legacy characters, and LSB changed a thing for me
I would likely never have unlocked Rey or SLKR without those bundles, so that was cool, and as an older player that doesn't spend my zetas the second I get them, I was able to soak up the zeta cost for those teams reasonably
So true, I want SEE & Ive always wanted to invest in Imperial troopers (most are G12) but since SEE is a little older, I dont want to put in effort incase a future LSB comes out, while I work on GL Ahsoka.
It's ridiculous they aren't permanent and causes a big freeze on people wanting to invest in those older and even some newer characters that require old in the team to do well.
Finally someone acknowledges the excessive price of the light speed bundles.
LSBs don't penalize people that got that stuff when it came out because those people got years of advantage of using those characters.
Now for characters like KAM, that come from raids and TB, I think CG should be putting those characters into current content. Would it be that hard to have a node in phase 1 or 2 that rewards KAM shards? Heck, just import the actual event into the new TB map.
Man, that’s how the game works and life in general. You want to tell me that a car that was bought 5 years ago should cost the same as brand new? It’s also same with new characters. If you want to have them immediately, then you pay, if not, you wait until it gets free to be farmed. If you think about it, is kinda the same logic. Spending money in general for game is equivalent to throwing them from the balcony, so if people do not have extra money to waste should not spend in general for this so they will not get that mad.
This exact situation happened to me, I just unlocked KAM with the latest ROTE raid and was finally happy to get him after using so much GET3 only to see the LSB come out, it was very disheartening.
I’m a new player, started around May right before the changes happened. I like the idea of the LSB but when I thought about grabbing the Hoth one, I realized for the same price I could buy a regular video game (Castlevania DS Collection in this case). If it were about $10 like it seems the early ones were, I prolly would’ve grabbed it.
A possible solution for those that finish a farm and then the LSB comes out. What if you could only buy one with each set? Kyle OR Rey, geos OR nightsisters.
It’s no perfect solution but it could help with fomo.
If your an average WINNER in the game ; which ultimately dictates how many crystals you reward in the game in order to purchase materials in the game for unlocking characters it takes about a year to farming entire Galactic legends from scratch and within a year they’ll be a lightspeed bundle available for anything you may have skipped at all times. It clutters the game
I think the first 2 reasons are intentional by CG. They want players to move towards the newer characters that are harder to get. If you decide not to invest in SEE and instead set your sights on Leia or Ashoka because they won’t be coming in a LSB, that is a win for them
I love what you said because it’s been my strategy since the lsb started being released. And that is it helps me focus on the new stuff without feeling like I’m being left behind. My most recent farm scrap and upgrade has been the gungans and I’m ready next time the event comes back around. Without lsb, I wouldn’t have touched gungans for a year or more.
I think lsb are incredible and the OG’s of swgoh need to stop and realize how healthy this is for the game and its longevity
I think the light speed bundles only feel good because everything else in the game is so ludicrously priced, you feel stupid if you don't buy them. I've definitely benefited from them but it's kind of like taking a deal with the devil
Getting a GL also helps with getting conquest units as the GL event

Lmao mate that is NEVER going to happen and everyone with common sense knows it too. Trench is already farmable and if you spend 2 k crystals every proving grounds then you can have him in 6 or 7 months which isn’t even that bad
I’m still F2P almost 10M, 9.6 I still enjoy getting characters and rounding out a team to 7 stars even if their Meta has past. I’m ok with that. I hated ships now their my biggest source of crystal income, I didn’t know it was possible to outlast an old Meta and Dominate a New one. SWGOH is special.
I was on both sides of this. I had just unlocked SLKR when that bundle dropped. But at the same time, I was able to unlock GL Rey within a very short period of time with that bundle. Not bias to any side, just as long as it seems reasonable for whatever price they put on it.
I’ve delayed doing SEE for 9 months. I only have 2 GLs remaining (SEE and LV), but it’s finally at the point I couldn’t wait any more because it’s hurting my gac.
LSB got me back into the game with Rey and SLkR… I had quit just a few months before…. It revitalized the game for me since it busted my roster wide open
I mean KAM was worth it for me as I only had 8/330 shards and I wasn't going to work on unlocking him when I could use the GET3 on kyros instead. But it was a bit expensive for one toon compared to others. I like the new offers where it costs £10 total with "bonus tiers" as it's decent value.
I spent all my get3 currency for KAM and finally unlocked him in April. But I don't mind now that there was a KAM LSB. Sure, it would have been great to have that earlier, but the game really needed that. He is required at ROTE TB, and normal guilds (without krakens or hard core players) had no chance to fill the platoons.
Problem is that’s just what happens when games get older. They have to make it more accessible for people that are behind.
I refuse to gear up my jabba GL list until a LS bundle comes out

I bet they'd sell alot more if they could pro rate the bundles. Like the GAS bundle, I only had a couple characters in that not at that level, so I passed on it. But if it could look at my roster and only charge for the characters I needed, I'd have gotten it.
I quit playing a few years ago because i didnt see myself catching up. Since the light speed bundles came out made me get back in.
I think Lightspeed Bundles are nice, but I still wish they weren’t needed for getting new characters faster. First of all, CG should make unlocking Gear 12 & Relic stuff far easier to farm. Secondly, they should double Conquest Shards & at least make Proving Grounds once a month.
Honestly, I just feel that Lightspeed Bundles make the game more Pay-to-Play. I’d love to play as those characters, but I’d rather unlock them the long way than fall into their trap.
LSBs are amazing! I’ve been playing since 2016. Rey & Kylo were the only 2 GLs I hadn’t gotten yet so when they were released I was mostly done with the Rey reqs and had already built FO ships to counter the Exec and I wasn’t mad at all. I paid the $10 without a second thought just to get both GLs within a month of each other and I believe just before Jabba was released too which I thought was amazing. Most people don’t have $300 to pay for a single character and my initial thought was if CG offered more packs with that kind of value and price more people would spend money on the game.
I disagree with the main negative to LSB. If you spent money or grinded for a character, you received it early and before others. I feel a good comparison would be like buying the new iphone for $1000, then a year or two later that same phone is now $500 because it's been out a while. If you bought it at full price, you got a lot of use out of it first before the people who buy it at a lower price.
I do think that GLs should be off limits when it comes to LSB. There's a time and effort that should be required for getting the best units in the game.
I have no problem with the lights peed bundles. It helped me, I slow grinded SLKR and sith eternal,Jabba, and gearing up JMK right now. And was able to get lucky and light speed rey and JML. You still have to gear grind to get the relic 7 charters and the ships. And it's not an easy grind getting the relics for the GL
