  • Judo Throw Tutorial - How to feel when to throw • Improve your nage-komi...
#Judo is about #feeling, as a beginner it can be hard to know what you are supposed to feel and how it should feel in randori and competition. To start we need to try and create the feeling in our technique training. One thing that most people struggle with in training is getting the correct reaction from their uke.
This is a basic principle of Judo but overlooked by many. The throw that you use is less important than creating the feeling, play around with it.

I've been doing judo for just over a year now and the basics like this are still so useful, yet they get skipped over way too much. Some of the best competitors I know have pretty average throws but a really good understanding of grip strategy and feeling for kuzushi.

I think these basics can help no matter how long you've done Judo. Sometimes I have questions from students about techniques and we go back to some of the basic principles which help them answer the questions themselves. The throws should take care of themselves, if you understand gripping and breaking balance. Thanks for watching.
