I can relate to what he started off saying, all of the crying and people throwing a fit during season 8 just made me enjoy it even more. By episode 6, I was just hoping the ending would be something crazy like Drogon eats Dany and then Sansa rides him while the Dothraki and Unsullied chant "our true Queen" just so I could see all of the whining and tantrums on Sunday night and Monday morning.
As a writer and a faithful follower of throne game, this seems like bad analysis, but if you've been following throne game closely, throne game couldn't have ended any other way.
The twist I would've loved to have seen was Jaime stabbing Cersei in the stomach down in the dragon skull room, and then he walks out to the little boat as the skull room collapses on top of a dying Cersi. As he walks to the boat, he steps over a body...his! He then takes off his face-- its Arya. Jamie died from the wounds from Euron, and Arya stole his face. She finally finished her list and can enjoy life post-revenge.
I agree that the nerds take it too seriously, but the writing has been objectively bad and one of the things lost in the criticism of the criticism, especially among entertainment industry people, is that the viewers are paying customers. This isn't free over-the-air tv paid thru ads. If you do the math, the people who subscribed to HBO for $15 per month for 3 months every year just to watch GOT over 8 years ended up paying about $5 per episode, so like $10 per two hours, which is comparable to movie tickets. Yeah, there are bigger problems in the world that people should put their time and energy into, but a paying customer base is very disappointed with the product they received. Those two knuckleheads running the show made a ton of money and industry power *adapting* someone else's work, and when it came time for them to put up their own work they chose to mail it in. The harsh criticism is pretty valid.
Yeah but does the end erase the enjoyment and emotions you experienced watching the rest of the seasons? No, you cant retroactively change how you felt in the past. I wasn't happy with the 8th season at all but I still love the rest of the series and enjoyed the ride there. D&D were great at adapting source material but obviously can't write worth a damn. And really I don't know why I expected anything different, it's an insanely complex story and the guy that created all of it has spent 10 years on the last book, why should these 2 hacks be able to do it in a few months per season? And I don't think the money is the issue, I haven't heard anyone complaining that they had to pay for it (and let's be real plenty of people are torrenting this or watching on a family/friend's account).
Yeah like the other guy just said how the fuck can you expect them to conclude this complex and rich of a story with just a few months meanwhile its taking grrm TEN years! Yet their the ones at fault and get all the shit.
How could you believe otherwise?!?! They won't abandon us now, lol... Talk The Thrones doesn't drop on youtube until a week after it airs on Twitter I think (check out The Ringer on twitter to find it there now)-- and Binge Mode drops sometime around Thursday every week.
The biggest thing I couldn't get over in the final episode is believing grey worm didn't kill Jon immediately after discovering he killed daenerys. The way to solve that, and more would have been to have a scene after the kinging ceremony where we discover gray worm was actually arya wearing his face.
54 likes? This ain't working Bill. Listeners would've appreciated more had you invested more in the GOT chronicles instead of not knowing most of the characters' names.
The Dragon melting the throne is symbolic metaphor of the writers melting down the series in season 8. Epic fail. The Ernest Byner this series. Fumble in the on yard line.

it's very simple. the last 2 seasons were rushed because they were 13 episodes instead of 20.

Why dont you shut the fuck up, dimwit. It was fine.
Six Feet Under had the best finale I've ever seen, hands down. It was an imperfect show, but they nailed the finale.
Will Mallory and Jason do a review for the finale of GOT?!
They do on twitter with Chris Ryan

Six Feet Under had an amazing series finale!
I don't understand the shot at Jeanie Buss..can he not function without taking shots at the Lakers?
“Should have my horse get one, too. Fatass” 😂
In all these discussions on recent series finales I feel like The Americans should get a shout out for having one that was incredible

Great season finale. The leftovers

Jeanie over Bran? Unsubscribed.
Completely missed the point as to why people were upset, so just a completely pointless discussion.
Wow I was with this episode until Bill said the 1976 Celtics Starting Five would make a better small council than Bran's.
Hilarious video 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Stick to sports, guys!
american storytelling has the stupid need to put all the characters in the same place/event. It might work for marvel movies, but not for GOT.
