This is the strangest crash out I've ever seen. Im not the biggest Drake fan, but i can't deny how much he has impacted HipHop. Regardless of that fact, this will have another huge impact and not in a positive way if this goes his way. This is a very selfish move. There has to be some sort of underlying plan to all this besides taking Steam from Kendrick. He employs the same tactics he is suing for. To me, it looks like the biggest industry plant got uprotted, and now he wants to kill the whole garden. To what end? He has championed and put on fir battke rap itself. Does he not see the implications this could have on the genre if he pulls this stunt off? It's just weird.
I think its a few things. For one, when someone feels untouchable for nearly 2 decades its not easy for them to face reality when it comes calling. Very few things are more destructive than an insecure ego. Drake could have EASILY took the L, dipped out for a while, came back with a solid album and his fans would have supported and kept it pushing. I think he is for sure trying to make it to where Kendrick can't perform Not Like Us at the Superbowl as well. It's an extremely selfish and immature way about going about it. To the point he is doing more damage to his own image more than Kendrick is. And the wild thing is as time goes by Kendricks diss tracks are aging better and better. He literally predicted how Drake was going to act from the very start.
And the end of the day. This is hip hop. You can tell who is from it and who was raised by it. Once you willingly decide to engage in a rap battle you give up any right to play victim. Drake was never for the culture. He is an actor. Drake is merely an acting role that Aubrey plays. The raps, that he has other people help write are nothing but the scripts he performs. Its truly wild to see someone as successful as Drake consistently make the absolute worst moves and choices post battle. Its a definite sign of some deep seeded issues he refuses to face. When in contrast Kendrick faced all his demons in the most real and honest way possible. And its not shocking seeing how each one of them have moved so differently since the battle started and ended.
And his fans making him out to be some kind of civil rights activist because of the suits. We’re officially in the hilarious part 😂

The reason it worked for Kendrick is bcuz there is video of him kissing and underage girl, him texting highschool girls basketball players, taking MBB on a private yacht when she was 15. Like he is so caught up in his ego he is overlooking the fact that UMG will get discovery on him and his entire team.

I just saw a girl's high school basketball team in Inglewood dancing to "TV Off," including the coach! That's culture. I've never seen Drake celebrated by the people like that. Not album or merch sales. He's popular, but he's hasn't ingratiated himself with the people. It feels as if he believes he's beyond the culture. Him saying "Hip Hop is weird" just solidified he's never been of the culture.
