At this moment, it was Meek who failed to read the battlefield. And with his loss of a battle that he should have won, the version of Drake that we see now was validated. In this situation, maybe Drake read the battlefield correctly or maybe the battlefield just happened to favor him. I think it's the latter and he just got lucky.
When it comes to what Push did you him, there was no denying that Drake was outclassed and had no idea what arena he was entering. Push destroyed him but people let him slide, not to mention he used J Prince to add ambiguity to the situation. Somehow, Drake survived and put on blinders to the fact that he got destroyed (and many people not only allowed it, but they also shared the same sentiment.
