I must admit I never liked Super Mario World that much, coming of the marvel that Super mario 3 was, the mediocre powerups turned me off (really, a plain yellow cape...?). However, I love Yoshi and this was his origin
I grew up with Super Mario World and rarely played the others, but over time, I felt like Super Mario Bros 3 was the better game. The art style of Mario looked better, and he even does a flip with the star. The worlds and sound effects also seemed better, plus there were the mini-games to help you feel settled in the world. Super Mario Bros 2 was especially a special experience as well, possibly my favorite Mario game. Then you go back to Super Mario World and everything feels less dynamic as you fly around like Neo with 99 lives. I wish I could put it into words better, but World almost feels flat and boring compared to Bros 3.

This list is absolutely nonsense. Half of those games are completely forgotten and weren't even that good back then. In the other hand, the list is missing absolutely timeless classics such as Street Fighter 2, A Link to the Past, Turtles in Time, Streets of Rage and Sunset Riders.
Street Fighter 2 is definitely the most important game of 1991, however it didn't get a console port until 92 which is probably why it's not here.
SF2 was the most important game of that whole generation... and it's not on the 1992 list
Once I saw Sonic not even make the top five I knew this list was just something for Snes fans to jackoff too.

1.a.super mario world 1.b.final fantasy 1.c super castlevania 4.sonic 5. F-zero. That's a more proper order. 1-3 can be any order but fine with super mario world being #1.
I'll be the judge of this
Doesn't suck for us AT ALL that you weren't born then "boy Taylor swift". The world would have still turned and probably for the better had you not.
I poohed my pants
This list is absolutely nonsense. Half of those games are completely forgotten and weren't even that good back then. In the other hand, the list is missing absolutely timeless classics such as Street Fighter 2, A Link to the Past, Turtles in Time, Streets of Rage and Sunset Riders.
Ah yes, reading comprehension can be difficult for some I suppose. All of those games except for Streets Of Rage came out in 1992.
Civilization 1
What about Streets of Rage???
