This is a pretty messy review, complete with embarrassing word bumble at one point. Still….enjoy. Video created and edited with CapCut Intro music: music.apple.co... Outro music: via CapCut Sounds
Ok!! I’ve been waiting for you to review this. It’s on my list too. I was disappointed by “After Oz” as well. In “Toto”, these well known characters we all love sound disappointing. However I think it’s pretty cool that every time Dorothy meets a new friend Toto is off having his own fun. Makes sense and I’m into it regardless of the messiness lol. Have you read any of the original Oz books by L Frank Baum? Just curious.
It’s definitely a different kind of Oz entry. But I did like it. The Toto sass alone is worth it! And yes, I have read every Oz entry ever! Well….until I pick up “Wicked” next lol.
Gotta admit I never really liked Toto (the character). He always reminded me of this yippy little mutt of my aunt's. And I've always wondered why Dorothy didn't just start walking him on a freaking leash. I can't really blame Elvira Gulch for getting fed up with the little hairball getting into her yard and chasing her cat after the twentieth time or whatever. 😜 The sassy foul mouthed stuff sounds like it would add to the annoying factor very quickly, but you seem to think the author makes it work. That weird pagan scarecrow thing sounds like it could have been interesting. Too bad the author didn't do much with it. And I guess I sort of get the trend of "humanizing" antagonists, but sometimes I miss a good old fashioned cartoonish villain motivated by the pure love of being evil. 😂 But anyway, it certainly sounds interesting if nothing else. Have a good one!
Are you saying Toto has a potty mouth? I'm actually liking all the POV from animals in many recent book reviews. It gives you a fresh perspective. I think you would like Thor but only after you had a break from all the dog thinking and talking books you've read lately.
lol yep Toto has quite the adult vocabulary. Actually it’s not as bad as far as outright filth but pretty wild. I’ve heard about Thor before and it does sound interesting but I agree I need a break from animal perspective stories for a minute. Unless, of course, Call’s Hell Bitch starts speaking her mind….
Toto!!! Come back here! Good honest review Trav!
@@kevintowle9665 lol thanks!

It definitely was interesting, no doubt. And does Rosie know how you feel about one of her kin?? 😂
