Important note for anyone trying to do this on a car that isn’t brand new: the threads of the holes where you attach the hitch will be very rusty, so you will need a thread tap.
Great tip!
Actually you will need a thread cleaner. A tap is for cutting new threads into solid metal.
@@trailerhitches Well a tap got the job done perfectly so I don’t know what to tell you
so detail with all the specs and tools, great video
Won’t the car need a proper wiring harness installed so that vehicle break lights will be in sync?
We have a video for that! th-cam.com/video/DW9bH2f1Fm0/w-d-xo.html

Has anyone ever towed a small car with a rav4? (Small civic below the towing weight). Thanks!
The hitch is only rated to 3500 pounds. The weight of the CAR AND TRAILER would have to be less than 3500 pounds.
my is 2018 but doesnt look like that
The Hitch and steps in this video apply to the 2006-2018 Toyota RAV4. Despite any "facelift" changes made to the vehicle during those model years.
