99% of the vegetables in El Salvador it is organic- we refused Monsanto seeds when they came to offered them. You just paying extra because you don't trust the small vendors. should've make your homework better
El Salvador is in dire need of agricultural talent and production (farming) - unfortunately most of the produce is imported from Guatemala and neighbouring countries. I know the president touched on that subject in one of his speeches and is aware we need that independence…hopefully in the near future that will turn around for ES as the land is very fertile!
Juliana, pero UD puede comprar directamente a las inditas q vienen del volcán todo orgánico porq ellas siembran sin fertilizante, yo eso hago cuando estoy allá. Los buses vienen a las 6 am y UD trae todito fresquesito y baratísimo ellas llegan cerca del calvario en la pregunté dónde llegan los buses del volcan en San salvador. Antes era peligroso ahora no uno trae chulada y baratísimo los bananos se los encargan y se los traen recién cortados eso hago yo. Le están vendiendo demasiado caro lo orgánico..!! UD está comprando re-re venta no amiga hay q saber comprar. Solo levántese tempranito y va allí y UD vera garantizado 100% orgánico. su Bill de la compra le saldrá la mitad de lo q pago. Saludos

Organic is a myth; I believed in that too when I first moved to Mexico. Drive around to those farms and see for yourself; you can smell pesticides and herbicides. Even in Ecuador; it is loosely regulated. In my experience growing foods; if they look beautiful, they are not organic. Otherwise, there are plenty of evidence of insects.
Many Mexican farm land are bought or managed by the USA. Organic doesn’t mean herbicide and pesticide free. The Food& drug administration allows them to still use chemicals… Even if you have imperfect produce there’s some form of protection against pests. The question is what do they use, what amounts do they use and who monitors or regulates them regularly? Obviously some methods are more natural than others. For example some natural produce n plant protection is; Neem oil, garlics, tomato leaf, Diatomaceous Earth Insecticides. Etc etc. I believe ES grows and imports a lot of natural conventional (non-organic) produce that is very close to being organic but they are not labeled or classified as organic. But that’s just my take on my visits. I would have to visit farms to prove the theory. 😅
What make you think that you are buying Organic ???🙈🙈🙈🙈 if you buy in a fancy supermarket, you are fool if think is organic, and did I heard you said escalon?poor you I am sorry for you, just buy from the poor lady on the stree and then you are buying organic and super cheap, but for now keep buying organic en la colonia escalon 😂😂😂😂😂🤭🤭y hablas muy bien el ingles. No, en el fondo del cráter ocupan químicos y las de la calle de subida son de la tiendona. Los guineos vienen de honduras en el volcán.
