Happy to have watched live streaming, not by the major networks, but by a neiwork I hardly heard of. Congratulations to you Ms Andreescu. . . I am confident your tennis star will shine brighter!
Who is canadian again ?! WTA Insider Courtney Nguyen March 8, 2019 When Halep won Roland Garros last year, Andreescu was one of the first players to send out a celebratory message on social media, calling the 26-year-old her idol. "Obviously she's from Romania and I'm Romanian," Andreescus said. "When she won French Open, that was very emotional, especially for Romania because I think we're very passionate people
i am sure genie's 2014 has had an impact on what we are seeing today and inspired bianca/felix/denis etc. remember they have all come thru the tennis canada program!
@ TSN ; nice upload of this interview. This post-match, victory interview was 'relatively' okay. Still the media is far too involved into personal lives of these sports athletes. We have seen already, how this has affected or not allowed Nami to be more herself as much as she needs to be. My words of caution and consideration come from watching and playing tennis for 48 years now. For a point of reverence, try looking at the atmosphere Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova, Tracy Austin then Steffi Graf, Monica Seles, Mary Jo Fernandez, Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario, Jennifer Capriati, Lindsey Davenport,. Martina Hingis, Anna Kournikova, Venus and Serena Williams, Justin Henin, etc. In the earlier times, there were not on court interviews, post-match interviews, pre-match, pre-tournament interviews nor even coaches interviews. Steffi Graf is a much more introvert personality than Monica Seles, but both were allowed privacy too and not the amount of required interviews, press, etc. Monica may have enjoyed it more than Steffi, but each was able to live within themselves too. Now the amount, manner, and mans of the over abundance of media, invades the players' and can actually affect the quality of the players' performance. Would it not be better to allow the athletes to perform their best rather than have all of these interviews, media, press and added pressure?!! This applies to all athletic and sport competition, not just tennis. Sincerely, :-)

Well, I thought Naomi was superb, SHE STILL IS, but Bianca has proven that the two, along with Bencic, are coming to a "photo finish" in terms of humility and frankness. Good luck in the future, well, except when you play Naomi,...GO NAOMI!
@Ionuț Andrei Wake up dude. Her parents are from Romania but Bianca was born in Mississauga Ontario Canada. She is a native born Canadian and extremely ptoud to be Canadian. She flies our flag proudly and will always represent Canada...the best country in the world.
Congratulations to Bianca, and Koodos to the parents too, notice all of recent Canadian tennis success the common denominator are the parents are all immigrants!
Well, to be fair, she is 50% Romanian. However, she was born in Canada and more importantly the Canadian tennis federation recognized her talent from young age and invested in her with everything she needed to reach professional performance. So all credit to Canada for that. But she does have Romanian blood and is not that bad to be supported by two countries after all!😀

Of course haters gonna hate & there’s always one or in this case at least 3. Wow a credit to her parents.A breath of fresh air, no big ego, miss Aga but this girl is worth watching. Her coach was excellent.
