Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. I liked and subscribed hoping for more Dimash reactions😊 But one request. I know there are sometimes a lot of copyright issues, try transparency or dots over the video, bars, or whatever. We Dears (Dimash fans) know the problems with many videos. We endure a lot. But please don't cut up the video🙏🙏🙏🙏. For many, this is a reason not to even watch the video. I hope you'll forgive me for my little advice. If you’re reacting to a video from his TH-cam channel there you can find most of the songs with English subtitles and other languages as well because he has a fanbase from about 140 different countries. Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads, RnB and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country (and he still does). And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 in Almaty, Kazakhstan was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄. He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. I think you would appreciate reading the lyrics as they are profound and reflect the human condition. So many of us feel the same way at some point in our lives. The song is sung from the point of view of a man who has just found his girlfriend dead, shot by the bad guys, and is kneeling over her body. He was trying to uncover the corruption of big business cartels, and they wanted to stop him. She got caught in the crossfire. In the song he's had enough, and he no longer wants to live in this world. He cries out his emotional torment to the Universe. It's from a French musical called Starmania. (Although it was written way back in 1976, the lives of whistleblowers of big businesses are in just as much danger today). He was the youngest contestant ever, a wild card, and he had to go first. The audience was totally insane over his performance. He could not win the contest, because he was not born in China. They apologized and gave up that rule the next year.

In the opera the lead character is Johnny Rocket and he is singing S.O.S. when Crystal, the love of his life has been killed while fighting extraterrestrials who are trying to take over the earth. It is a song of self-doubt about his life and whether he wants to go on living. At this point he wants to be taken up into the heavens. Starmania has been translated into many languages and has been performed in English by Tom Jones and many other famous singers. The song S.O.S. has been popular ever since it was written because I think it speaks to everyone’s self-doubt which we all feel at some time in our lives. Dimash performs this in its original language. French is one of nine languages he speaks. Dimash makes you feel every single emotion the character is going through in the opera in his performance. Why do I live…why do I die. In many performances of S.O.S. he will drop to his knees just as Johnny Rocket does in the opera, weeping over his lost love while holding her in his arms telling her to sleep child. But one request. I know there are sometimes a lot of copyright issues, try transparency or dots over the video, bars, or whatever. We Dears (Dimash fans) know the problems with many videos. We endure a lot. But please don't cut up the video🙏🙏🙏🙏. For many, this is a reason not to even watch the video. I hope you'll forgive me for my little advice.
If you’re reacting to a video from his TH-cam channel there you can find most of the songs with English subtitles and other languages as well because he has a fanbase from about 140 different countries.
Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers.
His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads, RnB and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country (and he still does). And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 in Almaty, Kazakhstan was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄.
He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard.
SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.

The man who often plays the kobys in Dimash’s performances is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it.

I also love Otyken Altay I think is a good starting point - Siberian unique blend of instruments, kind words revolving around many topics, sung in native tongue, blend of old and young, Jacob Collier Little Blue Mahagony Session or mahogany reaction Summer Rain, el estepario siberiano (incredible drummer), Ren (Start with Hi Ren) unique story teller, rapper, singer, and not afraid to tackle controversial subjects, and Angela Jordan - Start young (around 7, and work your way up). I think you would appreciate reading the lyrics as they are profound and reflect the human condition. So many of us feel the same way at some point in our lives.
The song is sung from the point of view of a man who has just found his girlfriend dead, shot by the bad guys, and is kneeling over her body. He was trying to uncover the corruption of big business cartels, and they wanted to stop him. She got caught in the crossfire. In the song he's had enough, and he no longer wants to live in this world. He cries out his emotional torment to the Universe. It's from a French musical called Starmania. (Although it was written way back in 1976, the lives of whistleblowers of big businesses are in just as much danger today).

I like your reaction and subscribed. I think you would really love the 2017 Chinese singing contest where he sang the song and was first internationally recognized. He was the youngest contestant ever, a wild card, and he had to go first. The audience was totally insane over his performance. He could not win the contest, because he was not born in China. They apologized and gave up that rule the next year.

This song is about someone contemplating suicide ,so Dimash is acting out every emotion as well as singing. It’s a song from Starmania…it is a French-Canadian cyberpunk rock opera written in 1976 with the music score by Michel Berger and the lyrics by Luc Plamondon. In the opera the lead character is Johnny Rocket and he is singing S.O.S. when Crystal, the love of his life has been killed while fighting extraterrestrials who are trying to take over the earth. It is a song of self-doubt about his life and whether he wants to go on living. At this point he wants to be taken up into the heavens. Starmania has been translated into many languages and has been performed in English by Tom Jones and many other famous singers. The song S.O.S. has been popular ever since it was written because I think it speaks to everyone’s self-doubt which we all feel at some time in our lives. Dimash performs this in its original language. French is one of nine languages he speaks. Dimash makes you feel every single emotion the character is going through in the opera in his performance. Why do I live…why do I die. In many performances of S.O.S. he will drop to his knees just as Johnny Rocket does in the opera, weeping over his lost love while holding her in his arms telling her to sleep child. No one on the planet has ever sung this so perfectly as Dimash.
