I watched the 1974 version Har Har Mahadev over this past week. No subtitles, but rocking over compressed, extremely fedback song that practically defines the sounds of OG Bollywood. But it reminded me that I first read the Mahabharata when I was eleven years old and I immediately recognized the parts that I could recall from my old memories. How Shakti, offended by her father, committed suicide, then she goes on as Parvati - throughout 108 successive incarnations as she spent those lives with Shiva at the core of her concentration. This isn’t really conveyed very well by film, at least without subtitles. And so since I have you, Nish, my understanding is so much more comprehensive and I am now more privy to just where in these films efforts were taken to shroud certain details, not for the lacking level of special effects in motion picture. They’re emulsifying the meat and potatoes for different purpose. But the fact that I could recall from distant memories, and from an age when I’d have considered myself so lacking in knowledge. I wrestled with my Mahabharata and I had planned to decode the little passages in Sanskrit no matter how far I’d have to go, then my mother (radical right wing conservative) uncovered my copy of the Mahabharata and disposed of it against my protests. So I guess I owe it to my childhood to pick back up with that Hindi Sanskrit, I think. I love copying the letters by hand, yet I can’t even pronounce it. But if I learn how to pronounce and transliterate and write the syllables that I hear, how far then would I be from understanding what I am pronouncing?
What??, Lakshmi is not married to Shiva. Perhaps a form of Adi Parashakti is Kamala but that doesn’t mean she is in any way the spouse of Shiva. In fact Mahavidyas are their own entities they are not associated with their spouse

Hi Nishas I know this might not be the place but I will like to know where or how can I get a reading from mother. Thank you so much for your kindness
Nish - thank you!
you should make a video on the difference between saiva siddantha and kashmiri saivism
If you repeat Kamala Kamala Kamala you are also saying Malaca, a phoenician name for the goddess in a temple in nowadays Spain.
What is even meant by "fierce forms" and what does it imply or mean in any practical sense?

Not accurate. Each Mahavidya is associated with a Bhairava, and Kamala’s is Sadashiva.
Reading is fundamental.
