- Quite an unknown title on the N64, Midway published a sequel to the classic arcade game, Paperboy. In this time, devs seemed addicted to doing weird ideas with the new 3D technology, so let's see how this one turned out.

Poor Paperboy, risking his life delivering all of those newspapers, only to turn around and buy Superman 64 with the money he earned...
He realized how terrible it was and never played video games again. That little boy? His name is Jeff Bezos
I’m watching every N64 game being beaten, I mean, all of em. The twist is, the next game I watch is randomly selected.
Nobody Cares what you watch. Except Google and Facebook maybe 🤷🏻♂️
@@lady1kakaNobody cares about your replies to other comments except a faceless, cold algorithm... maybe.
@@Retrofun69nobody cares about your faceless cold algorithms except maybe the lizard people or the ai planning on taking over the world
Yawn
I love N64 game challenge meme
This series continues to amaze me in how many N64 games there are I have never even heard of despite its tiny library lol
Honestly same 😂 it opens my eyes to so many games I probably wouldn't have known existed due to it being such a low selling title or hard to get a hold of
What a credulous drone. I suppose everything you see on the internet is true?
If paperboy was kidnapped by aliens, then how did everyone find out about it? (If they didn't get their newspaper)
They made papergirl deliver it. “Hey, the old person who had this job is stuck on Neptune, good luck kid”
0:04 never fails to get a lil chuckle out of me lol
Shadow Man sick! Can't wait to see you get stuck over and over again lol.
The "chessboard" was a checkered flag, thabs! With all the racing games youve played for this challenge you should be a racing flag pro! 😂 Now, for why it was flat on the ground? I got nothin lmao
Painted checkers like that aren't uncommon at places themed to racetracks (rather than being sctisl racetracks). There's a retro diner type place not far from me now that uses the design on the driveway connected to the road, as if to say, "you made it!"
Can't wait for ShadowMahjong! I had it on Dreamcast. Should be fun to watch you play it on N64.
When the video recap is better than the actual game. Loving the series thab.
Shadow mans title screen theme lives rent free in my head almost as much as buck bumble
I loved this game as a kid. I would play levels just to make my own storyline and explore
Excited for next week. Shadowman is an all time favorite of mine
Truly one of the best N64 games if you give it time to develop.
Same for me! I loved the unusual atmosphere and truly interesting level design! 😃
I loved playing this with the cheats and just railing everybody and everything with infinite papers.
This was the first game I ever bought with my own money. Got it at a flea market. So I milked it as much as possibly to get my money's worth.
This is (pardon my french) FUCKING UNCANNY. I Literally JUST watched the AVGN Paper Boy episode and in the episode he mentions that there's one for the N64. Made me wonder when you'd draw this game and then bam, you posted it.
The algorithm knows all
God I loved this game so much when I was little. The cartoonish graphics, bright colors and goofy sound track were all I needed.
Setting the difficulty to Hard actually shortens the time limit drastically, forcing you to do way more stunts to keep the timer going. It makes for a totally different experience.
Found this game randomly with a friend somewhat recently, and we 100% expected it to suck, and we were pleasantly surprised it was actually quite decent.
Stoked for Shadowman. I was so attached to that game growing up
Discovered this dude when he had around 2k subs. Glad he's gaining traction.
He’s consistent and in his 30s. He’s on the train at the right time
The best part of this game was how the headlines got increasingly deranged as you kept playing.
"Zombie proposes to Alice",
"Photographer dies on duty",
and "Innocent Monkeys Terrorized by Paperboy" were some of my favorites.
I remember playing this game when I was a kid, it was my 2nd least favorite game, next to Glover which was extremely difficult.
I love this series. Every video makes me wish for any game I loved from that time to be next!
Currently watching this and watching my stepson play blitz on the 64. We have next Gen consoles but he loves playing the 64 more than anything. Classics never go out of style.
Hint for next episode:
Remember, when you boot Shadowman, switch HI-RES on from the options menu EVERY TIME you boot the console, or it will continue to be on low-res.
Why the heck is it like that? Perhaps HI-RES save file would not be compatible to any other copy of Shadowman, since game boots on low-res mode, or something. It is annoinging, but game is worth to play when HI-RES is on, despite the trouble.
You did excellent job on Indiana Jones 64 footage, so hopefully you'll capture most fullfilling N64 -Shadowman -footage on TH-cam!
Paperboy 64 was one of my favorite games growing up, once you get really good at it, it's so much fun to run around and do a ton of tricks while you do your routes, plus there's a lot of skill expression with boosting and powerups.
When i was 18-21 my friends and i would sometimes party in my backyard till the sun come up. Around 4:45, a car would suddenly appear on my road and it was slowly creeping which always grabbed our drunk ass attention. After a few mins, id remember that it's the paperboy. This happened more then id like to admit lol😅
Legit, you've got great aim! I rarely got the mailboxes lmao
Core memory unlocked. I completely forgot about this game
Shadowman was pretty dope
I can't wait to see what you think about Jet Force Gemeni. Great game, but you might hate what you have to do to finish the game. Excited for Conkers Bad Fur Day too.
completely missed this over thanksgiving and almost forgot this weeks till my buddy came up to me and asked about it. But I'm here for the journey
i had convinced myself this game looked so much better than this in my head, i was actually shocked when this video started.
a crt can do wonders to a game like this
"Where is the horse game thab"
::flushes head in toilet::
"Where is the horse game? Miss thab said you have it"
::flushes head in toilet again::
"Where is the horse game thab?"
Shadowman!! So looking forward to that!!!
"It could be violent"
Oh boy, should we tell him?
I love this series.
I watched you play a little bit of this one (and the next one) live on your Twitch.
Looking forward to Shadow Man!
yeah there's this weird tradition about putting chessboards at the finish line of every race
Man I love this series.
I really enjoy this series a lot and I hope you compile it into a playlist on your channel
This is one of those I played a lot as a kid but really didn't get the first or second level. There's a lot of games like that that I recall playing for 10+ hours and when I play them now I realize i never saw 95% of the content lol.
I am dressing up as a train conductor for Halloween. Twist is, thank you for the idea
Fuck yeah, Shadowman is great, very hard though!
I had paperboy 64, it was such a quirky and fun game!!!!
4:29 you've earned 69 💀
It doesn't matter if I've just got home from the club or am suffering from a bit of insomnia... thab always delivers!! Excited to see the newest addition to beating EVERY n64 game
Pretty sure I fell asleep almost immediately after commenting that 😂
'Chessboard pattern' is a checkard pattern. Meant to symbolize a checkered flag meaning finished.
I’m watching every n64 game being completed and I mean all of them the twist is I don’t care what order or how many times I rewatch thabs videos
This is one of the games I have nostalgic attachment to playing when my brother was in the hospital with pneumonia when we were kids. Only remember the first level lol
Can’t wait for Shadowman - it was a game that permanently etched into my memory as a youngster
Is it called Alphaville because Paperboy is Forever Young?
I'm here all week.
I'm loving this series.
This is like the fever dream version of Paperboy.
OMG SHADOW MAN!!! This is my most anticipated game!!!
Looking forward to Ogre Battle 64
This whole game is basically a GTA/Yakuza mini-game now.
"I didn't complete them all... game complete!" lol out of context that is funny
So keen for Shadowman!!! My absolute favourite game on N64. I reckon I play it at least once a year. Hope you enjoyed it.
finally!!!!!!!!!! iv been waiting this whole series for shadow man!!!!!!
Same, primarily been waiting for Shadow Man in particular.
I was convinced that the Tesla creature was the end of the game when I was a kid
I can't wait for Thab to get either Banjo-Kazooie, Glover, Buck Bumble or even the Zelda games.
he got to Ocarina at least, he has vods of it
He's played through banjo-kazooie and ocarina of time
lmao holy, the mini-map at 1:15 is pretty sus.
Sometimes thab says stuff making me spit my milk out and 9:32 haha
The original paperboy was great on arcade I had no idea they made a 3d version
lmao did not realize this game had a place basically named moose shit park. Moose pellets are poop
Never knew this was on 64,the original brings back memories i can hardly remember 😶🌫️
The thumbnail :chefkiss:
Has Ogre Battle 64 been streamed yet? I don't use twitch often but would totally watch that if I had a heads up
You can see what game has been played on the secondary channel. The videos here are about 10 months behind the streams.
And to answer your question yes it has been streamed already
Yes, and you can watch the full playthrough on his other channel thabeastplays
He played it but man ot was hard to watch him play lol. He kind of ignored a lot of the games mechanics
Thanks everyone!
Oh yeah! I bet you had fun with shadow man. That game was great. Can't wait for next video!
I actually liked this game. it's really low rated but I had a lot of fun when I was like 12 emulating this
I played Sooooo much of this game as a kid!!
I had 0 idea that this game existed. I probably would have rented it if my local Movie Gallery had it.
Okay this thumbnail is definitely one of the best from this challenge
Most of the newspaper articles in this game... Slow news day, much? ^^
Stoked for some Shadowman!
for the thing to finish a level he said chess board lol its the finish flag you see with racing, its a checkered flag finish line/area... i mean chessboard does describe it perfectly though
Can’t wait for shadow man!!!!
This game was a slap in the face of the original. Thank god I rented it before committing to buying it way back in the day.
Been watching these vids just for Shadowman to come along. Finally.
Can't wait for the sequel, Pizza Boi
Oooooh Shadow Man is a fun game
I've been waiting for this exact game!! Thrilled to see what you think about it.
Oh shoot shadow man is next love that game it got remastered and put on steam not tonlong ago
Next, I would like to see every single Dreamcast game beaten randomly picked, sincerely.
Can't wait for the next!
Been waitin for shadowman it’s one of the best games in the system
I used to love this game. Terrible game but a lot of fun
As a fellow southerner, I'm offended you said chessboard instead of checkered flag.
It will be interesting seeing you complete Shadowman. God help us when you generate Ocarina of Time - which I think everyone hopes will come up soon.
conkers bad fur day is going to be fun...
Oh man, I’m excited for next week’s game! It was a weird one for sure…
Shadow Man. Hell yeah
It's funny he is surprised the game called paperboy is all about delivering papers
1:19 You mean the checkered flag? IE the finish line?
Is there a list out there with all thabs enjoyability/difficulty ratings?
Yes in the description
I’m an idiot thank you
Oh HELL yea! I love shadowman!!
ALL ABOUT THAT PAPER BOI
It's weird that it's not called paperboy 64.
