If only the seas were this calm off the NC/SC coast. 90% of the time they are choppy and I fish off my jet ski but you have to not be bothered by being "tossed around". RARE you can get a calm day like you guys had. Guess the laws are different there because here you can't go out on a jet ski until after sunrise and have to be back in at sunset.
just curious... aside from running lights how are you able to "legally" run the ski before daylight? According to my research pwcs are not supposed to run at night in fl even if its properly lighted. Just curious if you have a workaround or what the details are. Thanks good content!

I cut of the the top of the middle holder and use heavy duty tie straps to fasten the holder to the rear loading handle on the back seat. works great!! reel will get soaked though, needs cover
Mahi-mahi/ dorado/ dolphin are some of the most beautiful fish! Especially when first caught. Tasty as well. Are there wahoo around as well? Great angling y’all. Appreciate your videos.
That's what I want to do. A hell of a lot cheaper than a boat. You can get all the way back in the mangroves. And after fishing all day you don't have to paddle back in. Or if don't want fish . You can still go out tear it up the water. I'm getting one definitely.

Great job on rigging your ski. Horrible choices on safety. Wearing a proper PFD (and keeping it zipped up) at all times is a must on a ski. Also you need to keep that radio on you somewhere. If a storm blows in or for whatever reason you get knocked off your ski your radio does you no good.
A troll motor to keep you in one spot and keep the engine hrs down and some tubbies built on each side would be a great addition to the Skis and more cooler storage. Other than that great content cool video.

Anything that floats can sink. Jetskis usually sink due to rider abuse or ignorance such as hitting another object, leaving the drain plugs out, etc. 500 + hours riding Kawasakis and SeaDoos.
Haluwazone even without proper care it wouldn’t sink. New skis are extremely reliable especially Yamaha but I would recommend doing all the usual maintenance things like brushing with soap and water after and flushing the engine etc...

The fishing ski is a great way to be close to the water while doing all the usual boating things, at much less cost and ease of storage and maintenance. Hmm. Love the video but thought driving at night or in the dark on a jet ski was illegal. I don’t agree with it though. You have running lights and should be legal but that law is one of the things keeping me from buying one to fish on.
Personally I believe that the law banning PWC's from cruising at night is outdated from back when Jetski's were smaller and unstable platforms too close to the water to be seen at night. Now my Waverunner® is larger and more powerful than some smaller boats that can legally ride at night but the law doesn't distinguish between a 13' Waverunner with the better buoyancy and fuel capacity over a underpowered 10' dinghy.

Be careful with the ride system, it fills with water. the actuator output shaft seals with 2 O'rings. water enters and the connections and the Scu module are screwed. a
