Thanks for this video. ever since last year when i arched my alternator i have had a jumper cable ran from the battery to the ignition to get my boat to start. i have checked and replaced every fuse with no luck. sounds like you had done the same thing that i had so hopefully replacing the 90 amp fuse(which i knew nothing about) This weekend will fix the issue because right now I'm basically bypassing the kill switch to run my boat.

One criticism. You didn’t actually show how to fix the problem. You talked us through your testing and thought process but I still don’t know where this thing is located, how to get it out and replace it. I suspect I have the same problem with my boat, and I’m one step closer to UNDERSTANDING the problem, but I’m now looking for a different video to show how to FIX the problem.

Start watching at 1:05, he shows the fuse on the starter. The fuse is attached to the battery cable/starter post.

Dealing with this problem currently. Trying to figure it out before we head to the lake for the week on sunday, I don't wanna go without a boat lol. Brother is a mechanic and been helping, we replaced the starter, trim solenoid, checked the circuit breaker, wiring harness plug, lanyard switch is good. My brother says that white fuse is good and we're replacing the ignition switch tomorrow. It starts up by jumping the starter with battery probe or screw driver, just not with the key. If the new ignition switch doesn't work, I'm gonna suggest getting a new fuse on for the starter. If that doesn't work, idk what's going on.

Thanks for posting. It might be worth noting that a common cause of blowing these fuses is reversing cables on the cranking battery. How do I know that, you may ask? Trust me...I know...
