Thank you very much - this video really helped me - whilst I didnt re-tap my threads due to the rust, i put some 'gasplus' down them, then put the supplied bolts in by hand, then with a wrench it was enough to break the rust, your video was a real inspiration! Next, electrical relay ! great vid.
I love this video, very informative thanks. I wish you lived in my street so you could do my battery and wiring. I bought a bongo last week with the battery placed behind the drivers seat which stops the seat from moving properly forward and lowering down!
Excellent video! I've ordered a tray based on this. One question....none of split charge kits have the loom you ran through to the fuse box. Was that an additional part? What I mean was did you have.. 1: battery tray 2: battery 3: relay kit 4: wiring loom? Or were 3 and 4 sent as one kit? Cheers 😁
Great video! I'm just about to embark on the exact same modification and your video has helped me greatly with some ideas for routing the wires. Just one question, what size wire did you use in your loom for each of the connections between the two fuse boxes?
Mike. Glad you like the video. The loom came with the sensing relay wiring kit (bought on eBay). I bought it as a kit because it came with the secondary fuse box also. Ace Projects
Hi Craig, I bought the kit off eBay from Rayne Automotive. The length of the loom goes from one side, starter battery to the other side, leisure battery and then back again to the fuse box under the steering wheel. Sorry that I can’t be of any more help. Good luck with your project.
I bought it on eBay. I just did a search and couldn’t find it either. I checked back through my purchases and it wouldn’t link back to the original one either. Just looked a New Dawn Conversions, they appear to have one that is very similar at £45. I paid the same on eBay. Adrian
@@aceprojects120 ah grand, thanks very much. I didn't look all the way through your comments and missed the guy asking the same questions so apologies for that.
@@aceprojects120 hi, my split charge relay didn't come with a loom to the fuse box, which one do I need to get... Can't find any info online... Also no fuses, what kind do I need? Thanks very much, your video is my guide!
Thanks for taking the time to put this video up my friend, it really does help others out! 👍
I don't even own a Mazda Bongo and I loved this video. Thank you and keep up the good work
Super helpful. Very clear and loved the extra little tips along the way.... exactly what i needed (from a bongo novice)
Although my van already has the leisure battery fitted, I still like to see how its done, thank you for a great video...
Glad you liked the video, working on another one, should be available soon

Glad you liked the video. Went away (Cornwall) in the van and the extra battery worked well. Good luck with the relay.
@@aceprojects120 and good news today i fitted the relay and it worked first time ! great vid, thanks again :)

Hiya, For the first 2 mins when you clean out the thread holes, do you know what size the hole is please

3 and 4 were in the same kit bought off eBay. Just brought up the order but it’s no longer listed.
@@aceprojects120 No worries, thanks for checking 👍

Hello, where did you get the battery tray from please?
Hi, I bought it on eBay, just did a quick search and it’s not listed now.
I have found a very similar on at New Dawn Conversions for the same price I paid on EBay
