I think this perticular ride or gathering would be a great thing to put together as a yearly ride that individuals from around the U.S. can participate in. I myself would so be interested in do something like this. If it was available, great video by the way.
+Zachariah West Charlie and Donald just happened to contact me about the same time asking about riding with the group when they were going to be out in California. So... it just kinda worked out. I've had others contact me when they were going to be in California ... anyone is welcome. If you are going to be out... we can plan something. ;-)

Great ride Glenn, you are a great host. I would come out and ride but the problem I have with California is that no matter where I am or what I'm doing, I'm always in some ones way. If I went and stood in a corner some one would want me to move so they could stand there. It gets "thin" after a while. Too many people! Sure do enjoy your videos, keep em coming!!!
Just watched this video again.. 8 months after our ride.. what a great time this was.. great trails.. awesome folks.. Will be coming back out again to join this squadron on a future ride.. So Cal has some great trails (went the next day up to Ventura and rode along the ocean and up to Ojai..
Glen, another great video presentation! I can only guess what you have got planned up your sleeve for the next year of rides. As soon as I get my yellow and black catrike villager and matching Burley trailer-I will plan to be there for one of your rides. Dpouglas Radowick
I'm new to recumbent tricycles I'm going to be picking up a used one within 2 weeks if not sold. I have cerebral palsy and I found I can't ride a bike but I can ride a trike. I live in So California hoping to find others to ride with.
There are a few collections of Trike Riders in the area who ride at different levels (distance / speed / climb) in the Orange County area and Los Angeles area. if you are closer to LA... Bent Up Cycles Shop bentupcycles.com might be able to direct you to some local riders and groups. In the OC Long Beach area there is a group that rides from Richard's Bicycles in west Garden Grove, mostly in the area around the San Gabriel River Trail.. www.meetup.com/Beach-Area-Recumbent-Riders-Meetup and our little group that is a bit less formal we ride in the Long Beach, Irvine, central OC and South County OC areas. I know there are a few riders in Pasadena and a group in Ventura... Ventura County Recumbent Riders www.vcrr.org hope you enjoy the trike!

Awesome video. Really makes me want a trike right NOW! (I'm trying to decide whether to buy the Catrike Trail, or wait for the Dumont.) My son and DIL live in Aliso Viejo, near Irvine. How did Charlie and Donald haul their trikes? And how was the drive? (I live in Boulder County, Colorado and have always flown when making the trip). Thanks for sharing!
+Charlotte Abel I have not read a lot about the Dumont yet... but it looks very nice! so is the trail. I am not sure I could recommend one over the other but I think it would be hard to go wrong with any catrike model. Charlie and Donald both drove out with their trikes either inside their cars. I think Donald had his in the back of his little hatchback and Charlie carries his in his mini SUV I think. Enjoy the trike when you get one! there are a lot of great trails and bike lanes and routes here in Aliso Viejo and Irvine!
