Hi from Australia. What a moving episode. I have my first hunting dog, a GSP named Oreo. He’s 15 months old and coming along nicely. I’m looking forward to being able to head back to CO and the Dakotas for some bird hunting, as soon as possible (damn COVID).

What a couple of dogs gus and izzy. Our dogs are not just part of the team they are the team leaders,without them we would have a lot less success in the field. Looking forward to seen more of hank doing his thing.
My wife and I got our 1st lab pup together November 2021 and this episode hurts my heart and It took me back to when we had to put down my childhood pet german shorthair alot of great memories made and more to come with our new puppy Minnie, but the idea that were gonna have to do the same thing down the road gets me a little misty at times.
Well Ron, I’ve pheasant hunted since 1980 and up until 2002 all we hunted with were dogs. The last 17 years we venture to Kansas and have done well without dogs. I enjoy walking, crashing through brush and trying to out smart those wily birds without a dog. More of a challenge now and this past season, 4 of us in 6 days shot 52 birds. For is its about hunting and getting out more than having a dog
