I think these old brushes are not half way trough but are completely worn out. Per previous video, the wires on the old brushes were pushing against the plastic frame already, when this happens, its no longer let the brush come out any further.
correct, they have to be long enough for the wires to connect and for the springs behind them to make pressure so they are worn out even before they are worn all the way down
Good catch I agree its important to use correct terminology, if I said recall at all in any of the vids I should have "manufacturer extended warranty". So just to clarify, MB had a recall associated with a limited number of SBC pumps and the recall was actually not on the pump or the unit plug, it was on the ground wire going to the plug and it also involved adding bracket for a change in the way the plug was fastened to prevent vibration. Additionally and unrelated to the"recall" just mentioned MB has extended the normal warranty from what came with the car to a period of 10 years instead on the SBC pump. Please check out all vids I have explained the purpose of the replacement and much more background. As for the title I think its fine, the pump motor is part of the pump, I have noted its a brush replacement, and the description also makes it clear. Thanks for watching!
I did not give the size since there are at least 2 and maybe more sizes from Mercedes, you must measure your own brushes to be sure to get the right size sorry
So does this address the SBC Failure that the MB Recall covers for 10 years?
This can be one way to address the SBC failure tied to the recall, check out part 4 just uploaded I explained more about it there

Recall was on unit plug. Did your brushes failed prematurely? Your title says pump rebuild, where I don't see you addressing pump at all.

Hey. What size brushes?
They come in different sizes you must take your unit apart and measure or you will probably end up with the wrong size
Look like brushes off my RC car.
