Something a tiny bit different for my review segments. Not a game per se, but a TV cartoon based on a game. Here's my take on the short-lived Rayman TV cartoon.

Well, based on what I saw in this review... it had potential. It's Rayman. If they polished up the animation with the characters and got a little more at home with the writing, it could've actually been a good show.
As it was, though... yeah, I think it was scrapped too early. On the other hand, they should've worked on the writing at least a little bit more before making these episodes in the first place.
its just the mouths they are very jerky in the movment everything else though is smooth
It took me five watches of this video to get me through the part where Rayman sings without pausing the video to reconsider all my life choices.
I really liked this show, even if it only had 4 episodes. Nice review, dude.
I was unaware Rayman even had a show. Glad you covered it, very nice amount of detail and comedy in the writing. Mint video overall, well done! :D

Nero Wayne Rabbids Invasion was a very stupid and unfunny show, and I actually _like_ the Rabbids. The first three games were fun party games (I haven’t played Rabbids Go Home, but it looks like a fun game), and the humor of the Rabbids were hit or miss over the years.
Update: I played Rabbids Go Home since then and I love it!

Nope it deserves to be cancelled Reasons I hate this show beacuse:
1:awful animation
2:no globox ly the fairy or murphy
3:the new characters are dumb
4:the writing Is poor no wonder the show failed
5:and the plot made no sense
The only positive I have is when rayman says CAH
The 5th episode was close to being finished and it supposed to involve Betina getting kidnapped.
Yeah but it was cancelled due to poor writing and lack of fundings
And thus rayman went back to his world to meet globox again and thus lacmac betina cookie flips detective grub ect dissapered
And thus rabbids got their own TV show in 2013
Very Sad TV Show did not have more episodes.
Rayman sounds like Stimpy to me
The voice actors for both are one and the same. Billy West is both Stimpy and Rayman.
Yes a rayman cartoon with no globlox, no ly the fairy,none of the kings from rayman 2 and no robot pirates except for THE MAIN VILLAIN OF THE FRANCHISE WHO RAYMAN IS SUPPOSED TO BE FIGHTING BUT,INSTEAD THE MAIN VILLAN IS A CIRCUS PERFORMER!
The cartoon is not bad. The voice acting is great, and so are the visuals, and the way layman acts is just as I imagine him to act like.
That's because its the same voice!

I feel kind of bad this show never really got a fair shake. It could have been fairly interesting if it had time to develop or grow. Alas, we may never know. Then again, imagine what a Rayman show would look like now if they used the current art style. Now that would be cool.

This was good, man. I really liked the How I Met Your Copper joke. I honestly had no idea that Rayman had a cartoon. Having said that, I have no interest watching the cartoon. LOOKS UGGO AF!

I feel like the show really captured the aesthetic of Rayman. It wasn't bad and was entertaining enough at the very least. The animation was good for the time and the plots for the episodes weren't poorly written. I don't understand why this was pulled
Honestly, I kinda liked the series, but I'm in agreement with you - it could have been better, but I would love to see what they could come up with.

+Samuel Chin Orozco I think it's Betina rather than Betilla, but the comparison between the two is easy to make. It's like that for more characters as well. LacMac's kind of like Globox and Cookie is mostly seen to be similar to Murfy. It's a shame that those actual characters didn't make an appearance in these episodes though.

I sort of would like to see another Rayman cartoon series, other then Raving Rabbids **shudders at the thought** With a more modern appeal and used with modern technology to make it 3D. But I would like to see it more base on the plot of Rayman 2 or 3.

Used to make my own french hotdogs by cutting a hole in a baguette and microwave a frozen sausage with the frost still on and watch these episodes late at night or so, no Idea why though. There are many great shows to watch that are well made and praised but for some reason shows and comics almost nobody knows and junk seems more appealing at times and id rather sit down and watch those instead at night than the much better and well made stuff

Rayman: the Animated Series only lasted 4 episodes. yet somehow Rabbids Invasion lasted three whole seasons............ what......... the f***?

Swarlius Gamerus Both started airing in the same year, infact Futurama started before this did. Interesting thing to take note of.
I think the sound effect at 10:26 was meant to be an adult joke that Grub was getting a little excited if you know what I mean.....

i do agree that the show could have been a lot better, but tbh while watching it a while ago, all i did was always laugh at the accent that was given to rayman, than the actual jokes on the show lol

I think it was animated well, I mean Rayman himself LOOKED great just like he did in the promotion art for Rayman 2. I think that if they did this show as a prequel to the game and used ACTUAL characters from the games apart from the Pirate Captain, it would be great, I mean I love Rayman but every Rayman game has a mostly new cast of characters, Rayman 2 opens and Globox gives him a silver lum from Ly the Fairy. And Rayman is like LY! OH MAN I KNEW I COULD COUNT ON HER (Its not what he literally says but stull) so we are suposed to know Ly but I never heard of her before the game started. Then Globox is his best friend too but he was not in Rayman 1 so aperently that happend aswell, in general Rayman 2 acts like "Heres Rayman and his classic cast of friends" even the PC loading screen shows us an epic shot of Rayman and company like "look at these friends and how close they are and how well they know each other" even the buff dude seems to know Rayman while I was like, who the fuck is this? So if they used the TV show for THAT stuff and if people showed more fate in it, AND if they just got the Rayman 2 PS1 voice actor for Rayman instead of the guy that does fry and makes Rayman sound horrible with his CAH problems xD

Yeah, the plot itself is pretty bad, for one, it's a weird story to put Rayman in! In the Raving Rabbids, it's a similar plot where Rayman needs to escape, but a show about constantly escaping over and over again, probably episode after episode would get stale fast! We all know it would have been Rayman and his friends get in a simple (ish) problem then Grub chases them and then some wacky thing happens that lets them escape! Plus Grub was chasing them because they escaped from being imprisoned slaves, and that really sends a bad tone through the rest of the world that also isn't really explored. I definitely think recognizable characters like Globox should have made an earlier appearance if any at all! I know a show should make new characters like in Pokémon, but recognizable characters should be in the main line as characters, even the Super Mario Bros Super Show and the Legend of Zelda cartoon got that right!

and if this got funding from Canada, I'm honestly amazed it got canceled at all, because Canada is desperate when it comes to shoving out mediocre content
Apps Plus It does seem like these types of shows came mostly from those guys doesn't it? The DKC show was primarily Canadian as far as I know and I guess the main reason why they were so involved with this would have been down to general French-Canadian relations.
TheRichaadoShow it's actually because Canada has laws about having a certain percentage of Canada made content (and this is reinforced through funding from the government), that's why so many low effort low budget things come out from here, they're just meeting a quota
Perhaps Ubisoft themselves didn't like it very much; or the creator of Rayman didn't like it very much.
Rayman TV is a pretty good show. I just wish they hadn't had any financial problems from Canadian governments!
