@@valtterivuorela3675 Yes. You are crazy. Most of the people who get caught in an avalanche die if they don't get out or have nobody within 2 minutes of their location. Getting stuck in an avalanche after it has stopped moving is like being in concrete.
@@valtterivuorela3675 I don't know why it packs really hard. Skiing across an avalanche afterwards is like skiing across ice, so just imagine how packed it must be when you're stuck 3 feet under it. Snowmobiling can be very dangerous. Smashed mine up only the 4th time I rode it after riding at top speed. Never had an accident since then, and likely never will.
Would not be surprised if one or both people perished in the clip @ 0:40. Such a nasty slide and the guy filming obviously has no avy gear or plan to go save his buddies. Always ride prepared and with buddies who have some form of avy knowledge/training!!

Some of the best skiing/sledding is in the open areas like chutes and alpine bowls. Always assess the snow pack and check avalanche forecasts. I doubt many of those people chose to assess the snow pack and stability. I would be surprised if they have even taken an avy course.
@@rykercarlson2713 Never heard of or seen "another avalanche"?? Escaping sideways almost immediately to get out, if you can even get traction, is the closest escape route..
Not really. It was deployed around 6:26. He has an electric system (jetforce etc) and not a gas/CO2 one. What you are hearing in the end of the clip is just the system maintaining the air pressure in the bag. It does a "top of" a few times and then deflates to create an air pocket incase you are burried.

This first guy is actually smart by just jumping out the way when he realised it's too late
He got to the side of the slide path which is what you're supposed to do. The sides are your best chance of survival.
Ye
He also had an airbag, so was able to risk jumping to the side
TheRealFudge ik
He was lucky he was as close to the side as he was. If he was farther away he woulda had to ride all the way.
