- Pinky is moving to Lagertha's habitat. We think it will make a great new home for her, plus it's close to Slinky. There is just one problem though, we can't find Slinky anywhere in his enclosure! I am so sorry about Lagertha Kenan. I do have one concern though, personally I would have waited until getting the autopsy report of Lagertha before moving Pinky into the enclosure. This way I would be sure that I am not accidentally exposing Pinky to what ever Lagertha had.
I hope kenan sees this.

R.I.P Laggatha (A.K.A Laggy Loo). She lived a good life there at the kamp, she didn't die unhappy. She will be missed. Keep your chin up Kenan, you're doing great!

Must agree that moving is too soon and too risky. It could easily be something in that environment, but also something contagious - viral.
Kenan loves his animals and works very closely with his vet. I'd imagine that he had the same thought of potential exposure, but has reason to believe what happened with Lagertha wasn't something communicable or a danger from the environment. Kenan wouldn't put any of his animals in unnecessarily risky situations. It is a good question to ask though, and considering that it's asked several times in the comments people are obviously concerned. He's got a lot on his mind, as he stated in the video a lot is happening in the upcoming week. I think what likely happened is that due to the unscripted nature of his videos he simply forgot to explain his reasoning. Anyways, have a nice day!
@@amyjudy33, you want to believe that. I understand that. Wanting and hoping doesn't make it true! He says all the time, "no secrets", he "tell's about everything", so either he's a liar OR he does not take precautions. We have seen him not do it. If you don't keep reptiles, or if you are sloppy wth their care, you might not catch what others do. Loyalty is awesome, but ignorance is ugly.

Pinky is such a special part of the camp and she deserves to be close to Slinky without being harassed by him 🤣. We’ll always miss Lagertha, but as you said, things have to keep rolling at the Kamp.

Is it wise to move Pinky into Laggy's enclosure before the necropsy results are in? Is there a chance it could be something contagious?

I had a similar thought, to be honest.
I was honestly thinking maybe she ate a toad. If I were a toad I would move into the kamp. I have seen what toxins from toads can do to dogs, I imagine a big hungry monitor would potentially see one as prey and unfortunately become poisoned. It would be nearly impossible to toad proof those enclosures.

Just make sure he doesn't get STUCK in there in some weird position and get hurt, overheat/freeze, or asphyxiate, etc.
I hope Pinks loves her new place. I agree some shelves and more sun would be even better. My hope is that someday she can cohabit w/ Slinky--eagerly awaiting Linky, Winky, Minky, Dinky, Tinky, Binky, Kinky (!)..and of course, a Slinky, Jr.! (Sorry about the divorce of Guapo and Lola! Lol). ❤🦎🦎💙

Slinky is a character lol. It is worrisome that you put pinky in that Inclosure before knowing y Lagretta passed away. But your the expert so I’m sure you’ve already thought of that. Can’t wait for the next inclosure. Always love your videos
Kenan loves his animals more than anything. I doubt he would put her in that cage if he thought there could be any kind of harmful thing to happen to pinky.
I'm with Anastasia. Putting a reptile in there is not a good idea unless a necropsy has been done and cause of death ascertained. Putting a closely related species in there is asking for trouble.
I'd fallow it for at least a month.
I would not be surprised if it was poisoning related to the half inched monitors but it could have been a pathogen she picked up.
Personally in Kenans position I just wouldn't take the risk. I know from family horror stories what can happen from doing exactly this.
It was discussed on the Patreon live. He cleaned it and disinfected the hide box
@@bhutch216 I'd still fallow it as good practice. And I'd put a dedicated camera on that enclosure using smartlife or something that'll send movement alarms.
One missed spot, that's all it takes.
Probably not a good idea having him get in there temps are probably brutal in the afternoon there and under that material who knows how hot it gets in the Florida humidity and Sun dude

Kenan , if I were you I would wait until you have the results of the necropsy because it might be some bacteria or parasite in Lagertha's enclosure, but I know you know what you are doing, and you always do what's best for your animals.

I had a feeling Slinky was behind the Universal Rock.
I think it is a good Idea to seal up any gaps so Slinky does not end up behind the Universal Rock.
Now that Pinky has been moved to a bigger enclosure she will get more of a feel for moving in with Slinky. They will sense each other and start communicating with One another. 👍😊❤️

That Slinky is such a sneaky lizard. You could hear him moving inside that realistic rock wall. He was having fun, a new adventure for him. Now that he knows the way in, I bet that he will be there all the time. I think that Pinky likes her new enclosure. Much bigger, and she has her own swimming pool.🐊🦎🐍🐢♥️Cindy

Hi Kenan just finished watching this video and the update on how things are going for you, your special animals. I'm sorry for the loss of Laggie I literally cried and I can't imagine how it's to lose an animal. But I'm glad that you gave Pinky her own place to be near her boyfriend Slinky❤ he's so sweet and funny, when you were calling for him. He reminded me of a little boy wondering why his dad is calling him😂 and the look he was giving you like what dad😂🤣🤣!!? I'm glad that they are doing well, I do hope you let us know what caused Laggie to feel sick, pass away🥺😔. Thank you always for taking the time to update us. I really appreciate that.

Sorry about losing the croc monitor, she was a beautiful monitor! Should have Tyler's friend who cleans the bones then puts his rattlesnake & vipers back together do that with her skeleton. It'd look really cool, be educational for people asking about their teeth, bones ect & youd have her with you forever!

SO CRAZY LATELY!! For both you and Chandler. First off, by Fred's passing, but then Chandler's female Lace monitor passed, now Lagertha, then Chandler's dog, BEARA passed! what a huge heartbreak after heartbreak lately. Thoughts are with you both. Hope you both reach out and talk to each other. I think it might help a little.

Pinky handles her moves like the noble young lady that she is! I think the enclosure is a great idea! Slinky, what a character! 😊😋 I took off from work today, not feeling well..,and all I did was lie here and giggle 🤭 watching the universal rock moving! Slinky is such a fun monitor lizard 🦎 and he’s going tii oh love ❤️ that his girl pinky lives right next door. Before you know it, she’ll be back in with slinky!

Sorry. Not so. All reptiles stress when they are moved. It takes weeks or more for them to feel secure. She isn't having fun! It freaks her out! She is so nervous! Reptiles are hard to read, you think she's happy, those of us that know, know that she is not! She might settle down but not when she is constantly moved and is put in a place that smell strongly of competition and possible danger.

You kept your cool whilst searching for Slinky, but I could see a pained toss-up between potential escape and theft warring about your face the entire time. I genuinely sighed with relief when you did eventually find him XD

Slinky gave me a heart attack!! It’s weird though because I’ve wondered why he hasn’t gone behind the Universal Rock before. I figured he’d do that. Lol! I’m sure you’ve taken sufficient precautions like sterilization of Lagertha’s enclosure, prior to putting Pinky in there. I know how much you love her and if it were something contagious you wouldn’t want that getting passed on to Pinky. I love how smart and curious those 2 monitors are!!! 🦎❤️🦎

I was curious what process do you use beyond vacuuming between inhabitants when reusing housing? It occurs to me that maybe miss lagatha may have been ill and if so would pinky maybe pick that up and become ill? Or maybe a noxious weed or something that was accidentally ingested?

Agree with all this and I think it’s a bad idea to leave the universal rock unfastened like that he could get wedged in there and end up dying as well!

Seriously, Slinky gave me a panic attack with a headache and a racing heartrate!! Knock it off, Slinking. I'm too old for this. My tortoise, Clyde pulls stunts like that. I always laugh when I hear his telltale scraping like Slinking. Thst really made me laugh😅. I love the idea of the tortoises going in the enclosure. I hope that works out for all. It's a very cool enclosure. And new, I'm going to take a deep breath, go take some Aleve and a hot shower to recover from my Slinky attack.
Does anyone else love the big alligator snappers as much as I do? We barely ever see them, which is understandable, but they and new Crocs are my favorites!
Wow! Slinky gave me a scare. I’d be afraid he could get stuck and overheat during a really hot day. Maybe block him from getting in there? Pinky looks great in her new home. Sorry Laggy passed. You and Chandler didn’t have such a great week. I’m really sad about both losses.

Another reason as you say to always check your aninals more than once a day. What a goof! But his enclosure is really a life goal! Good to see pinks in such an open encloaure. Sucks thr circumstances but I am sure she will be quite happy. I hope you get the answers you seek for laggy soon. I am so deeply sorry for her loss. Being a wild caught she could have q host of things.
Know it can be hard for you to lose an animal everytime it happens i feel for you man i think it would be a great idea since so many of us really love Lagertha and the videos with her and seeing your relationship grow you should make a tee shirts for us to memorialize her

When animals feel secure, it's amazing where their "adventures" will take them. As kids, my sister and I had a hamster that "went missing". After suffering our own set of heart attacks, we discovered Hamlet exploring the interior of my mom's electric organ. We never found a way to keep him out, but we became experts at GETTING him out. Never a dull moment. I hope Slinky had a good time.
Ours got behind the gas heater in the lounge - one never came out, the other staggered out stoned out of its box on carbon monoxide and keeled over.
I've always considered hamsters to be the mouse version of sheep - an animal whose overriding ambition is to be found with its legs in the air, dead as a doornail, in the deepest nastiest clarty hole it can locate.
